Hello! The church is called she because she takes care of her children she feeds them what they need, she protects them from the world, she teaches them the whole point of existing like any mother would to her children. That is why we call her a she because she is a mother to all of us.

ሰማየ እንዘ ይሬእዩ በሰናዖር ወድቁ፤

መላእክተ ሰማይ ዘርእዩ እስከ ተሣለቁ፤
ወበኃይል ሥላሤ አልጸቁ ።
ይበል ነው መምህር ቃለሕይወት ያሰማልን።
ድንቅ ምስጢር ይበል ነው
ቃለ ሕይወት ያሰማልን ዲያቆን ጎርጎርዮስ
እግዚአብሔር በቤቱ ያፅናህ።
