That is how you recognize that Regé is a great method actor. Julia Quinn wrote about Simon, but Regé created Simon to the point that beyond Bridgerton, we do not see Simon in Regé. He is the reason why the show was a success worldwide.He deserves all of these award nominations and I suspect he will have bigger Oscar worthy screen projects.

Dreamiest moment? When he looks at her across the boxing ring...jealous and knowing that all he wants to do is to scoop her up in his arms and get the hell out of that place! 🥰😍
The dreamest part for me was when Daphne rushed into the garden during the ball when she knew the Prince was going to ask for her hand. She knew Simon was at the ball as well. In her frustration she runs into the garden to get some air. Simon appears over her shoulder and tells her he wants to say goodbye because he's leaving London. They have a big argument because, frankly, Daphne is tired of being jerked around by Simon's indecisive behavior. As we know, she hurries into the "Dark Walk" and Simon kisses her passionately before her brother intervenes. I love the interaction between the two of them there. Shows you how hard relationships can sometimes be and how important it is to communicate what you want. Rarely do we do that and that makes for powerful love stories like theirs.

The scene that gets to me the most, is when Daphne dabs Simon's eye after his fight with Anthony in the club. Although they are not speaking to each other, they just can't stop their feelings, so when she slides onto his lap and then they kiss each other, I cry each time. So touching and sad, that they just can't get it together. I really feel for them, each and every time.

I loved the part when Simon saw Daphne dancing with another Lord and Lady Danbury asked Simon what was wrong. When he answered Lady Danbury, Simon began to stutter.
when was this? I want to rewatch it the only time I heard Simon stutter was when he asked Daphene what did you do?
As an adult, Simon stutters twice in the series and only when it pertains to Daphne. The second time is after Daphne "fixes" his withdrawal move.
How long did Simon think she was going to be in the dark about what he was doing? She was extremely naive, but a long way from stupid.

The Duke’s best moment for me is when he asks Daphne, "Do you want me to stop... do you want me to stop... " What respect for a "première fois" I wish such a "première fois" to all young lovers of this planet💘

Even though I will always be grateful for Shonda Rhimes and the showrunners for giving us Bridgerton and for casting Rege-Jean Page in this leading role as the Duke of Hastings, which shows his immense talent (and extremely handsome looks), I wish they had the foresight to sign him on for more than just 8 episodes. He is now the hottest actor in Hollywood right now and has been cast in 2 major films with A-listers within the past two weeks! I can't wait to see more of him!

Quite apart from his sensitive and charming wooing of his Duchess, even the way he dismounts from a horse is so snappy and graceful. After season 2 I will have to watch season 1 all over again, just for his swagger and sultry gaze. Wow! Let's have more of Regé-Jean Page on TV. Maybe another costume drama, or maybe a Sci-Fi series? If they ever remake Blake's Seven he'd be great as Avon or Travis.
