hi mrH. i bought that one locally in Australia, Cabac branded. demo video stripper vid ruclips.net/video/5CMNe5XKWuc/видео.html send this guy an email for prices ican.australia@gmail.com I've been off air for a while, extended family time. I'm sorry for the delay in responding. New videos this month! thanks for watching
places around here wont take the PCB's from television sets or other consumer electronics, like VCR's etc! and they cant go in landfill. so what do you do with these?? damn. i have a whole big pile of these PCB's and have no where for them to go!
Great comment mate! for a while i had no place either. In Australia, there are E scrap facilities in capital cities and only deal with large amounts. Some scrappers join a forum like scrapforum.com.au and start a syndicate to combine their scrap pile and get more leverage or separate/ grade them. some PCB boards have Tantalum capacitors ($1000 a kilo). Some people buy boards on ebay. Good Luck. I've been off air for a while, extended family time. I'm sorry for the delay in responding. New videos this month! thanks for watching
the adjustable stripper is a Cabac stripper. bought locally from ican.australia@gmail.com stripper tool video ruclips.net/video/5CMNe5XKWuc/видео.html cheapest one i found, but lasted me for years. ciro589m im sorry for causing any distress by throwing these sweet speakers into the scrap bin. It really is a shame though. But on the bright side, they will come back as new speakers, or a fridge, or maybe even a pacemaker. Thanks for watching!!
ciro589m i already watched a couple vids, i realised you have a soft spot for crt speakers. Next time you're in my neighbourhood, drop in and grab some speakers :) cheers
I don't like trusting that 'it's been sitting a month so it's fine' I always lay a screwdriver across the power capacitors just to be safe, it only takes a second. (if you want to do it properly you should use a resistor to drain the capacitors... but scredrivers are more fun :p )
i found the self discharge to be sufficient after 2 weeks of disconnect. Unless its plugged in, a month is safe. But i agree, sticking a screwdriver down the guts is more enjoyable, especially at full charge... SNAP BANG (high tension lead has a real kick) cheers mate
I suppose gloves wouldn't help very much then... Still, somethings better than nothing if someone wants to pick apart a CRT. Might make the difference between life and death.
where did you get the wire stripping tool

Could wear gloves. You'd never have to worry about the lead imbued glass and 240V shock.
Kai Nicoll-Griffith its not the 240volts that worries me- its the unpredictable 5000volts
