And hear, I caught a glimpse of the impressive seafood that Kanihaan Island, just off the coast of Libjo (Dinagat) has to offer. This giant octopus was just a taster for a place that I'll come back to for sure!
I'm here on Kanihaan because of my project, building pumpboats, most of which came here. I wanted to see the community that I was advised to send them to... so here I am!

Tiny island. Heard the woman said 58 households. Not crowded yet. And while KD was saying the boat has a beautiful paint, the woman said, it was given 😂😂😂 did she even knew that the donor is in front of her. If I would be the donor I would like that. ☺️ Such a genuine tone of appreciation. Seen electric cable. So the community is not neglected by the government. The island has still the ambiance, of what I consider as paradise 🏝 so much beautiful things I could describe but comments will become too stretched 😅

How fortunate that you got to Agusan del Sur the night that Ben & Ben were performing. I would love to see them in concert. Their music is so good! If they come to the US, I probably won't get to see them, since I don't live close enough to a big city to have a chance to make it there.

Man, awesome videos!! born and grew up in Davao City, currently living in California since the 90s . Ive never been to Dinagat islands . BUT we will definitely visit that amazing island [and SIargao ] this Sept since my wife is from Surigao. Hope we'll bump into you soon brother . ANd be careful riding your scooter ...last time I was there , I almost have a heart attack lol . we almost hit a pedicab full of family at night with ZERO lights ...not even a reflector

Pristine beaches. Culturally authentic people. Years from now, this island will be invaded tourists, the ecosystem destroyed, and people corrupted. This always has been the story.
Hopefully not!! Perhaps limit # of tourists and months of access. LOCALS can do that, right? Dont let GREED take over. PROTECT these precious gems!
@@gg_Javier Unfortunately reality tells otherwise. The lowly locals out of necessity sell out their beach lots to big business. And are subsequently barred free access to the waters. Meanwhile, the sound of waves gets drowned by loud music and trees get replaced by shops. This is the case in Panglao, Bohol and here in Mactan Island in Cebu. Here in Mactan, the shallow waters once teeming with marine life is almost barren now. Marine life simply could not flourish amid incessant human interference.
@juliannemil6158 = that would be truly sad indeed. Mindanao CAN take a different path, can't it? Its "end game" need not be the same as the places you cited. Learn from their mistakes. ...
From what I know of Kyle/Kulas, Anselm/Kumander Daot, BoyPerstaym and Bret/Bit-Bit, as well as Erwan & FEATR team, the purpose of their vlogs are genuine -- to correct the negative impression the world has of MINDANAO. To EDUCATE and in doing so, offer assistance and support to those in need.
Don't give up! 💪🏼 Rather, be STEADFAST to keep these areas pristine, and PRESERVE them for future generations to experience and enjoy. 🙏 🇵🇭
