Hi Josep, great tutorial! I would like to add two other tips for people who are learning this move. These things helped me to learn the move: don't look at your feet, instead pick a point at the horizon in the direction you want to go. Secondly: it can be more easy when you move your bodyweight down when stepping aroud the mast, bend the knees and straigthen the arms. Keep practicing!
Nice video as always thank you !! I have one step I am struggling with! When I am carving (sail sheeted in on the back, pressure of my hills) do I have to keep my feet in the footstraps or do I have to be outside to be more reactive??
Great video! So it's old side 1) move back HAND forward 2) move back FOOT forward and new side 3) move back HAND backwards and 4) back FOOT backwards. I always struggle with the right moment to start the moves!
I'm learning fast tacks at the moment (making about 1 in 10 on my shortboard), so thanks for making this video! Some other tutorials say grab the mast at the cut out with the front hand before jumping around, but your video shows boom-to-boom - what are advantages/disadvantages of each method? I've been trying with grabbing the mast, but boom-to-boom looks much cleaner to me.
It's also a big mental game. The more times you fall in when tacking, the more you start thinking you are going to fall in. I really struggled with tacking.
Many thanks for this, very helpful

With boom to boom you reduce the movements you have to do .
It's also a big mental game. The more times you fall in when tacking, the more you start thinking you are going to fall in. I really struggled with tacking.
Agree
Yes . Believe on you… you can do it .
