THANK YOU once again for being so open because it made me feel so less alone and “crazy” for some of my thoughts.

Such an important conversation for all moms to have! Thank you so much to both of you for sharing your journeys and for being so open about your experiences 🙏 birthing my third babe in less than 3 months and after my second I experienced some incredibly scary PPD. I had to learn the hard and very traumatic way about how important it is for us as moms to speak up when we aren’t doing okay. I learned that self care wasn’t just about a fancy long shower, but it is also about checking in with ourselves often. Making sure we are also a priority to ourselves, our mental health deserves it 🙏❤️

I know exactly how I know exactly what Paige went through. My son was born with low blood sugar. He also had jaundice, and they had to take him the very next day. They kind of knew something was wrong in the first day, but it wasn’t bad enough where they needed to take him. I didn’t sleep for five days straight, I was on an hour to two hour naps for the whole day of those five days that he was in the ICU. I wanted to be right beside him the entire time and have him know that I was there because wouldn’t let me do anything. I couldn’t even touch him. I wasn’t allowed to feed him nothing and they treated me like I was incapable and different than all the other moms and really messed with my postpartum tremendously. They asked me if I wanted an extra day to be with him in the room as I was given Ronald McDonald room to sleep for five days and I said no because I’m just I’ve never even got a moment alone with him and I didn’t want to be coddled and treated like I couldn’t do anything at all, it was awful

Nicu baby/momma no one talks about this I feel so seen. It was whole heartedly the scariest part of my life, it 1000% has made me a different mom. PTSD FOR SURE. 🙁

I had covid when my daughter was born and couldn’t be in the same room as her for 14 days. It was the worse thing. My other 2 children also had covid and couldn’t be near their new sister either. She hasn’t left my side since I was able to hold her for the first time. This convo was on point.
