    Thanks for this video Noah. I waited too long on the last pre-booking to get to order, partly because I was deciding between these, the Horenso's and to make sure sizing is correct. Funny thing is that my foot dimensions sound like they are the same as yours. Maybe I missed it in this video but based on the Horenso video, the size you got was the US 8 which is the 26cm? Is this correct? Finally, do you prefer the Yatagarsu or Horenso?

  • @daveb7463

    I have the Yamatokyo, do you think that for synthetic grass: are the Yamatokyo better than the Yatagasaru? For durability, or do you think the Yatagasaru might be good for synthetic grass, I ask because I play there.
    Having not tried the Yatagasaru, I am interested in your opinion to know if perhaps I should buy these soon instead of the Yamatokyo. Some pros and cons.
    Or even a few horenso by weight.
    Thank you and I'm waiting

      @@MLNLadprob cos he prefers them for training and wants a more responsive boot for games.
      I have worn these, Morelia 2 mij and ASICS da light x fly mij both training and in matches. Firstly I feel grip socks helps with all footy boots. I preferred the ASICS and Adlers for matches. I found my feet slipped in boot in the morelias after 20 mins into games.
      I play cam and wing and I’m very explosive so my cuts are very aggressive.
      The alders spring is amazing. ASICS has a more a sprint spike vibe yet feeling ultra comfortable for wide feet.
      I’ve played on natural grass and 3G pitch’s. All three are fine. ASICS in the summer give me extremely hot feet.
      Definitely try the Adler imo.
      Another tip. Measure your feet in cm. The sizing in cm is universal. Uk and us can be off. I’m a 27.7cm on my left foot and 27.9cm on right.
      Like Noah said a full size down with Adler. I went half size down for ASICS so 27.5cm and mizuno I do 28cm. I could push into 27.5cm

    • @thehunzz
      @thehunzz 5 месяцев назад

      @@soulstart89VERY helpful info. You've got me by like 1cm on each foot. Did you measure barefoot, or with socks? Also, did you go with size 27 in the Adler? Thx in advance.

    • @soulstart89
      @soulstart89 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@thehunzz hey bro. Regarding getting my feet measured at ASICS I can’t remember tbh. I’m thinking barefeet. I remember they scan your feet and give you a print out. It was a very long time ago lol.
      On alders yes 27cm. The toebox isn’t pointed so doesn’t give you issues. The fit reminds me of the acids original copas. I could fit into a 26cm without it feeling cramp.
      I have had a couple of adidas Pathiqe X mij which I feel had the same karvo type insert. I LOVED these. The problem was that the quality control and consistency wasn’t the best. The first pair I got was 27.5cm in electric blue. They was snug for first 10 mins then felt like heaven. I would always have to flex the soleplate to stretch the leather a bit. Sadly I snapped the karvo insert which killed the boots.
      I went to japan and found a 28cm in a store which I bought. They was completely different. Not as soft leather and the toe box was pointed and narrow. I tried everything but they are just collecting dust in my wardrobe 😞

  • @6Saundo

    These boots sound great, and evidently popular given they're as rare as hen's teeth at the moment. I'm just a little concerned about quality though, noting at 16:28 in the video, the boot is already showing signs of wear and tear. Is this the first time the boots have been put through the rigours of a workout?

    • @NoahCavanaugh
      @NoahCavanaugh  7 месяцев назад +1

      Quality is excellent mate, a little wear and tear on the upper doesn't affect performance at ALL, and they still look the same many weeks later 🤝 Wouldn't worry about it.

    • @CognizantCheddar
      @CognizantCheddar Месяц назад

      For posterity:
      I assume you're talking about the visible abrasion at the toe. It's unlikely to be an issue beyond the cosmetic. I will explain why.
      The primary reason boots separate from the soleplate at the toe is because most boots rely on glue. AG pitches are especially hard on glue because it's both more abrasive _and_ gets much warmer than natural grass. Friction, heat, and moisture (from the pitch, from your sweaty sock) is the recipe for glue degradation.
      There are three ways to improve toebox durability on AG. Adler employs one of these methods, arguably the best method.
      1.) Place a suede bumper, raised rubber outsole lip, or rubberized anti-friction coating at the rim of the toe. Turf boots commonly employ the bumper or raised upper lip, less common is the anti-friction coating, but for example Mizuno has employed it on their Monarcida silo in the past.
      2.) Riveting the soleplate to the upper at the points most likely to separate, i.e. under the toe and possibly the forefoot instep. Mizuno does this on nearly all of their boots, Asics does it on most of theirs. These rivets will prevent the soleplate from ever becoming completely detached, but some separation will still generally occur as the glue used along with the rivets degrades. It just won't actually ruin the boot.
      3.) *Fully stitching the upper to the soleplate, not relying on glue.* This is what Adler does. The only way the upper is separating from the soleplate on a pair of Adlers is if the stitching itself breaks (barring material defect, this is unlikely to occur without many years of hard wear) or if the leather itself tears. Alder uses high quality leather, so it's unlikely to thin, fray, and tear without using a literal sander on the boot.
      Stitching the soleplate to the upper is more expensive than relying on glue or glue + rivets, both in material costs and labor. This is partly why it isn't employed by the major boot brands. The other reason is that the big brands WANT your boots to wear out after a season or two, so you'll buy more boots. Fully stitched footwear using as little glue as possible is generally made to last years, possibly decades -- it doesn't make economic sense for capitalists placing profit margins and sustained growth over other concerns. Alder, however, is a weirdo company that places pride in their product over profit margins.

    Noah, thanks for the recommendation and reviews! i just got my pair last week and took them out to the field for the first time today. i swapped out the insoles before i left home. i used the realine insoles which i have never used in the past.
    all i gotta say is, WOW.
    i went down a whole size from my usualy. I used copa pure in 9.5 and got these in 8.5 and they fit perfect. no pressure on my toes. i have nothing to complain about these. even with the realine insoles, i forgot i was wearing them after 10 minutes. INCREDIBLE.
    the only issue with this shoe is, there's no swoosh or three stripes on them. if these had nike or adidas stamped on them somewhere, ppl would go nuts over these.
