Awesome vid. I've been having a blast with a Kaza brawl deck! I think she is really underrated. Wrecking people with spells like Sublime Epiphany with only Kaza and a few mana up is such a blowout! Also a good reminder in here that I've experienced, you gotta pay close attention to the order you target things with Stormcaller copies!
Thank God you took some time to show off two archetypes that are getting NO play in best of one, at least that I've played against. I've played more than a hundred matches since rotation, and literally 60-70 of them have been Dimir rogues. Only ONE party deck and no wizards. Maybe 2 Izzet total. I'm glad I'm seeing a lot less Ugin but I am freaking SICK of rogues. Might quit for the rest of 2020.
To be fair, I keep spending wildcards to make decks similar to what's seeing play and I wind up just getting paired against mono red or gruul and just get destroyed (because I'm too dumb to pilot these decks probably).
Ooh I love it! I've been playing a slower version with Fae of Wishes and Gadwick but this feels much smoother, gonna try it out. Goblin Wizardry was way more impressive than I would have thought.
This deck is likely to aquire new tools for strixhaven, Though the kaza ability hold up expensive interaction that refuels like memory drain and sublime epiphany, kicked into the roil is really unique.
While I can't play real magic anymore because of COVID and have quit Arena in protest 6+ months ago, I will always watch a LVD video when I get the chance!
another great video! I've been having a lot of fun with Kaza as a brawl commander, you can ramp into some big kicker and x mana cost spells in that format and haste means you can use the tap ability straight away. on to the next one..
Thank you for another nice deck! Did you try any builds with Umara Wizards? I know they tend to get killed or exiled in the current meta. But they can also do a lot of surprise damage out of nowhere. For example, on turn 4 they can attack for 14 using infuriate + unleashed fury.
I just realized Kaza is a good enabler of the legendary sorceries from Dominaria (for being a cheap legendary creature and reducing their cost by at least 1). Might work on that in Historic.
I really dismissed Goblin Wizardry as a bad card that was meant to be draft chaff when I saw the set. Very strong showcase of its potential here. Glad to be proven wrong and to be seeing fresh deck concepts that aren't being played by literally everyone
Such a cool deck. If it weren't so rare- and mythic rare-heavy I'd emulate it myself. What are your thoughts on relic amulet? If it doesn't fit in this deck, I don't know where it would.
While my opponent takes 15 minutes to decide what he will do on his turn, on Mtg arena, I’ll watch LVD put the smacketh down...ith on his opponents That Lekkk player, he’s in mythic yet lost, i bet he net decks and spends $$$
So tired with magic right now tbh, like 2/3 of the decks I play are cookie cutter dimir rogues. No new cards, nothing original... people have no imagination
They truly don't that's why I enjoy constantly destroying them with my deck. mono red will always be my bane though. somehow rng decided they get annax and ember cleave on curve while I get only lands or no removal even my deck is loaded with wipes.
Do you think Kaza can do a kickflip?

I've been trying to run golgari escape/counters, but i keep getting paired against mono white exile/lifelink, which doesn't seem to work out
Yeah I'm sick of rogues as well. Lately I play 75% Limited and 25% Standard.
The worst part is Dimir Rogues is such a boring deck, with nothing new or intresting added

Or you can use Umara Wizard, the Sea Gate Stormcaller and Unleash Fury for a nasty 20 to the face on turn 4. Good times!

At 22:06 you had game even without drawing the smashing. Opponent is at 2 and Kaza has haste, 2 blockers on 2 life against 4 attackers.

I built a wizard deck that has fling plus Reille as wincon. Really funny to fling a 16 power Reille to the face of various mill deck player.

Just take out "R" from Roil Chasers and it becomes USA.
