The Andertons TV guitar jams became exceptional when Danish Pete joined. With or without a loop pedal he plays a wide variety or styles with excellent feel and technique. Lee complements him very well and has a great style all of his own. A great duo!
Funny reading all those comments of people that never played or touched a guitar built by Henning Hansen ;) They feel, play and sound like magic... they´d be worth twice the price and I´ve never played any Fender post 1965 that even came close. Had a pre-cbs Strat as my main guitar for 12 years, now playing a Hansen T-Style (might get an S-Style) along a few Nick Page Guitars and vintage Gibson. No regrets, Henning is among the best Luthiers out there....
Nah, it's one in a million anyway. This is my favorite RUclips channel but they have shown things I'm not into. They know relics are controversial. It's 2022 on the internet. Everything is 😂
Much more difficult to make a guitar without messing up something. So instead of calling it a factory second or a b stock and selling it at a discount someone in the marketing department made up the term relic and started charging more for it. Many people are easily manipulated and believe it is more difficult to make the pre f###ed finish so they fall for it.
@Mr Nobody exactly. why would you pay more for an "inspired by" instrument? Fender's custom shop is excellent and if you are willing to pay that much money, you may as well go for the real thing.
Go to the Andertons blind challenge with Hansen included….if you don’t understand why Hansen is unique then….well…. ruclips.net/video/Zrb3AyTMvjA/видео.html
Sounding real smooth there Captain🎸 I really want a Hansen relic strat but i suspect the shipping to Brasil would be heavy on top of the price of the guitar? Anyone know a bit of shipping prices?. Could of course get it shipped to Norway first and have some mates bring it😞☺️
I enjoyed very much the Neural promoting video with Rabea playing his own music, isn't this guy a great guitarist and a great musician? I put my thumb up for him, first of all.
This is as close as you can get to Fender guitars without getting sued. The headstock is breath away from Fenders. You can say whatever you like but these are just Strats and Teles with another name on the headstock. There are lots of knock-offs and these are just more of them. They do sound good so I guess that's something.
@@rasmusmuller4549 lmfao its still a strat or a tele copy regardless of the wood, and its an electric guitar, scale length, pickup placement is all that matters, miss me with that tonewood bs when it comes to electric
@@roosky203 I mean...LOL!! These are straight strat and tele clones. They sound good and I have no problem saying that but...like...these builders badly need to come up with their own thing.
I would look at a used American made or custom shop for $2000 or under before I spend $3 on a Hansen only because resale value of a Hansen in 10 years will not equal that of a Fender?
It would be really helpful if when Pete or Lee says "here versus here" ( 15:15 ) without clearly indicating which one you're talking about, if you used its name instead (Hansen vs. Fender)
Awesome guitars for sure! I live very close to Hansen Guitars HQ here on the island for Funen... Btw. weren't there talks at some point of you guys heading over to visit Henning here in Denmark? That would make for some amazing content for sure! Cheers, guys!
Fellow Fynbo here! They should also try our beers while they are here. Henning also has Claus in his workshop - they saved my old Aria from near oblivion a few years ago and made it play better than it ever played new.
$3000, wow. I respect you guys every day all day but I am sticking with my used mexican made Fenders for $350 and then I can put what ever pick ups I want, add a bone nut, wire them up with the mod I am feeling for that moment and I have a banging good ax for between $500 or $600. Cheers
No lie mate! Most of us can only afford the lower priced axes so in the middle of a recession, and the beginning of a depression, Andertons is rubbing our noses in this level of equipment. It's tone deaf. Don't think in a mean spirited way, but unintentionally. I buy my guitars on Reverb for 2-400 used and they are fantastic. Cheers!
No one ever says anything about acoustic guitars all being the same shapes. Or cars, but electric guitars all have to be different than each other? They can’t be identical, but having basic classic shapes is fine by me and has to be. There are not that many shapes.
Comparing the Hansen S-type to the strat, the Hansen is definitely superior to my ears. I don't now what special sauce he adds in making those pickups but it's a fantastic recipe! BTW, "German Silver" is just another older name for regular nickel silver, which contains no silver.
Whenever I see guitars like this I always wonder how big the market is for people who specifically want a Stratocaster or Telecaster at the price of a Fender but also want lower resale value and another name on the headstock. I don't doubt that they're great guitars but I would probably only be interested if I was Danish and wanted to support a local builder or if I had so much money that spending £3000 was like buying a Squier to try out.
Lee’s been on holiday again 🤣 Seriously though, some lovely playing today chaps. Off to grab a Strat, and switch on my looper, CXM1978 and Future Factory. Happy Straturday.
Hansen is fairly near to Egeskov Slot (home of the June Heartland music and food festival) on the island of Funen - so the beer bottle (I've seen it - Henning uses the same bottle on all of them) is Albani - the biggest brewery in Odense, Funen's capital. If Pete grew up nearby he should know this as all his teenage drinking SHOULD have been Albani. Or if he was broke - Midtfyens (a cheap brewery which got taken over by an American who turned into the world beer awards winning "Midtfyns Bryghus" which moved to my town a few years ago. The nicest Hansen guitar I've ever seen is Drew Sycamore's orange bound "tele". Probably first made famous here in Denmark by Tim Christensen. Hansen guitars also wind their own pickups and make their own bridges. Probably only the only things they don't make themselves are the wires, strings, frets and pots.
Most early manufacturers decided to register headstocks, names and logos -- not body shapes. Once the body designs became generic and in the public domain, Fender had no enforceable trademark rights to them.
Bottom line. Does Hanson inspire you? For many buying a new guitar is not a logical decision. My favorite guitars are a Paoletti ($$$$) and an Pete CV purple Tele ($). They just inspire me.
Can you tell me the difference between these and Fenders? (Not the name, headstock, or place of manufacture) I think a blindfold challenge would be appropriate.... Funny how both of you swoon over the differences whilst explaining, in detail, the very similarities you are trying to obfuscate.
Trigger warning. I have a hard time believing that electric guitar construction can perceivably change anything in tone. What clearly matters is scale length, strings, and pickups and other electronics. You can’t just pick up two guitars with entirely different electronics and wood and then claim that the wood contributes to the difference in tone.
Nah, but I really think it has a difference in dynamics, how loud the guitar is acoustically, and how much resonance is felt in your hands, and that's not really something you can measure other than by your own feel. Personally I like set necks, or neck thru guitars because they seem to have more sustain, attack, and clarity for heavy metal. You're not wrong by saying electronics, frets, and hardware have a bigger difference though, they absolutely do and need to be considered in the equation. Does wood make a difference in tone? not really, but it does make a difference in how the instrument feels in your hands when you play it.
@@DudeMcGuybro that’s fair. If one instrument is constructed in a way that inspires you more, then that will for sure influence the sounds you can get out of it.
