A few of the "Jeeps" they showed were actually Ford Mutts. For some reason, the Mutt is glossed over, if not outright ignored, when people are relating the history of military offroaders. They always jump from the Jeep to the Humvee, forgetting the Mutt, which came between them.
Hummers and specifically HMMWVs are in high demand and seem to be growing in the price of used vehicles. If GM came out with a Hummer hybrid, all electric and most importantly an all terrain beast. They would make a killing!

what killed Hummer is the H2 ... I remember seeing a H1 with a license plate "H2THIS" ... the H2 was a glorified GMC vehicle... the H1 was a genuine monster off road vehicle.
no, the h1 is not a good offroad vehicle, it's 10k pounds. What it's good at is protection from small arms fire. The h2 probably performs better off road. Both are way overweight to be reliable offroad vehicles.
@@krebgurfson5732 having driven the H1 while serving in the US Army, under extreme conditions of hills, terrain, mud, rocks, and such, and then having driven a Chevy Tahoe (the same chassis as the H2) off road I can assure you that you are 100% wrong.. the M1A2 Abrams tank weighs 72 tons, and can off road better than a jeep... weight has nothing to do with it.
@@Sams911 i'm from alaska, everything i do is offroad. heavy vehicles are awful offroad. the hummer is an armored vehicle, not an offroad buggy. NO ONE is building H1s to go offroad in places that are actually challenging, they're driving around hollywood.
Still have my yellow 2002 H2. On our 30 vehicle dealership sponsored “hummer weekends” the H1s were good off-road, but had a lot of mechanical issues. The H2s also performed well. The H1s got stuck and had to be towed more often, most likely due to the weight. Later in my off-road career, the H3s were never able to keep up. Just weren’t good enough
@@snowboard424 the H2 was desiged from the Chevy Tahoe platform and was very reliable as a result.. the H1 is a military vehicle and needed a lot of maintenance

I wonder how many people know you can get the engine converted to a better engine making it have a much better fuel consumption, acceleration, and top speed. There’s more things to list but those three things are pretty decent to mention.

A few of the "Jeeps" they showed were actually Ford Mutts. For some reason, the Mutt is glossed over, if not outright ignored, when people are relating the history of military offroaders. They always jump from the Jeep to the Humvee, forgetting the Mutt, which came between them.
Bruh since I was little I wanted a purple one, still do but no clue where to look.

They don't come in purple my friend. You'd have to buy one, take it to a paintshop and spend 1000-1700$ to have them paint it purple.

I'm from the future, it will debut on February 3, during the Superbowl, just announced
Russell Neighbor some rich kids maybe, but they aren’t personally wealthy or successful themselves. People of actual successful significance don’t have the time to wither away in comment sections, it’s simply not what they have the time or desire to do, and those few that do get blasted for having such thin skin. If you knew the first thing about success it’s time management. As an individual striving for maximum success, time is a priceless commodity, and utilizing it in the most effective way possible produces the most desirable results.

Is building a 10000lbs electric vehicule reasonable ?
I want a lightened (really I don’t need an armoured vehicle jut make it with some regular sturdy steel) version of the H1 with a nice 12 valve Cummins in it

Hummer haters: The hummer burns too much gas
Hummer haters: Burns a hummer, adding more pollution to the earth
People are stupid
It’s the same people who rent a tug boat or a bus to go protest a oil rig, spending so much gas, and ruining the environment more then just sitting at home and being quiet
I mean, burning a car releases far less CO2 than years of driving. Especially When the car is a hummer lol
@@petterteignesse5486 well if you look at it this way, the 4 tires that got burned alone would produce 44,728 kgs of wasteful and harmful greenhouse gases
All in 1 go, where as the h2 v8 model of the hummer has a mpg of around 16-17mpg
(Just like every suv and truck in America)
So it produces close to 4,000 kgs of the same gases in a year if it travels an average 12,000 miles a year
It’s actually 3,967 kgs of the stuff
Times how long the h2 has been around which is…
75,375 kgs
But that’s across 20 years
Plenty of time for trees to and plankton to fight the gases
The ecological impacts of burning 1 tire
Is equivalent to killing 2,000 trees
Vs owning a h2 hummer for its entire life which comes to be only 1,500 trees
The math isn’t on your side with this one bud
I even rounded up for the hummer and down for the tires
Then there is the plastics and the gas and oil already inside the vehicle
And the waste of manufacturing
The impact of burning a car cause they are butt hurt, is worse then owning 2 hummers
Plus, the hummer h2 and h3s weren’t even bad on mileage
The h3 got 19 if you had the i5 model
The v8 got 17
Just like the h2 getting 16
And if you look, the Toyota , Nissan, Ford, ram, and Chevy pickups all get very similar gas mileage
But no one is burning those up
Plus the h1 was a military spec
That’s why it got like 12-13 mpg
So if people want to get angry
They should go complain to the government
🤷🏻♂️
