I don’t believe she was classically trained- Glenn Wheatley (John Farnham’s manager) signed her up at age 13 and Sony records at age 15. By 18 she was battling cancer. She’s suffered so many career setbacks but always maintains inspirational levels of strength and positivity. I’m so looking forward to sharing this journey with you! Delta is touring the UK at the moment. She has sung Opera and he vocal range is sublime. Her open air performances on the Sydney Opera House forecourt are beyond brilliant. Well worth checking them out please. Love your channel and your support of Aussie artists. She has appeared on Ellen where she sang a duet with Michael Bolten...that's also worth seeing lol.
I think she did undergo a lot of vocal training in the years before this performance. And she's gotten even more skilled since then, with an even richer voice!

She probably doesn't fit into the Pop, 4 chord boring formula that producers demand. She is a brilliant songwriter, singer and musician. So many Australian singers who are far better than top selling artists in the US have been ignored by US promoters and have remained in Australia where they are appreciated and have made very successful careers.
American records companies don’t what our singers.. they just can’t seem to break though there. They all sing live don’t bother stepping out on the stage unless you do in Australia none of this lip sync nonsense.. we have phenomenal artists that break through in other countries but nope the US seems to slam the door in our singers. basically our Aussie singers won’t sell their soles to the American producers etc and thats pisses them off.. plus I know Delta would so give Beyoncé and Taylor Swift a run for there money for sure and I think that’s what they are frighten of.. well thats my guess.. 🧐🤷♀️😊🇦🇺

I think she goes a bit overboard on this live version, the studio version is prettier, simpler. But yea, amazing voice.
