i can really see you already starting to improve this is like the opposite of azali where he tried to make happy songs all of the time but it just ended up as a sad song, whereas here a sad song turned into a happy song.
This is really awesome! Like a spin on some mario galaxy ost! You keep outdoing yourself with these chords, Imma have to try to beat you with my next song!
loved the music, sounds great. just reading the captions and say you struggle with making sad chord progressions, and while i am not an expert by any means at all, but i can recommend playing around with minor chords or keys, often when people hear "sad music" it's more often than not in a minor key or uses minor chords. idk how much music theory you already know or how much music you've done before but music theory can really help when making music, understanding the why some sounds give certain emotions can really help boost the creative process. obviously you do have at least the basics of music from this song which sounds great. i look forward to listening to more of your stuff in the future.
yeah, I've thought about that but I think that the problem lies in my personal perception of sadness in music. As soon as a song sounds happy with a slight hint of sadness or if it sounds *forced* to be happy, it just kinda sounds sad to me. Going by that logic, I think I tried making a song that fits that description which then ended up sounding sad to me but happy to others!!
Sounds lovely, and the mixing is clean too! Idk who said to stop with the click bait titles but he didn't cook at all lol. I've been naming my videos by the actual song names since the beginning and they attract no one (which, ok, it was the goal to remain unnoticed but still). If you want to grow please continue with the stupid names!! Anyway you can't write sad stuff? I experienced the opposite and I always hear the opposite lmaoooo. Couldn't just you write in minor (or Dorian or harmonic minor for example) and just make something slowish?? But yeah you weren't kidding about the happy chord progression. It DID lighten my mood
oh my god, my mixing has never been complimented before tysm :D Also, the individual who suggested that I used less clickbaity titles is far more experienced than I am. That is because he might or might not have about 162 000 subs and therefore knows what he is doing haha!! But yeah, I had the same thoughts about this, let's just see how it'll play out with this video :,) I theoretically COULD write in minor keys but my perception of sadness is a little different to the stereotypical one. Basically, when something sounds bittersweet-ish to others, it sounds really sad to me personally! I don't know why that is, that's just how my brain works lol :D
This sounds like a cutscene where two characters are having a conversation about something reminiscing of good times :O. Also, I'm wondering how did you make the arp synth sound so well blend-in and soft though, I never am able to make my square arp blend in with the whole thing. And glad to see that you got OBS working again!
The arp blends in because I cut off the very high frequencies with an EQ to give it a calm and soothing feeling!! Or yk, just use the filter in serum or whatever synthesizer youre using haha :)
@@BaconJeezbrgr Thanks for the help! Man i think you could be a really good composing teacher xD. The only synthesizer I'm using is 3x Osc, because I cannot afford serum or too lazy to find other ones. In that case, I'm assuming that the filter you are talking about might be the Mod X and Y thingy. Thanks again!
It sounds like a happy ending song when the main character finally found their true peace after their hardships fr
so curious sounding, reminds me of a short film of a newcoming baby kitten exploring its surroundings and getting into mischief!
i can really see you already starting to improve

It feels like a song you hear during the best ending’s credit scene
this is so good
i feel like an iv chord would just murder me here if it were put in just the right place
this is so nice!! i always love pretty sounding synths in music!
I initially wanted it to have no synths BUT I JUST COULDN'T RESIST AHHHH
Reverse Azali syndrome

Come to think of it, I don’t think I ever have wondered :o
these stacatto strings remind me if that one song from michael jackson, I cant remember the name...
i have indeed wondered

THIS IS SO CUTE I LOVE IT
Thank you :D
We have different problems, its very hard for me making happy songs, everything i touch becomes sad or epic lol
the epic one is so relatable D:

is it just me or does this sound like the midnight song from work at a pizza place
I thought the beginning was bad romance/story of undertale
