We booked and paid for a 4 night stay at a nice cottage in Pembrokeshire 48 hours in advance on cottages.com. About 2 hours before we reached the destination, we’ve received a phone call from Cottages.com telling us not to come because the owner wouldn’t let us in!!!! 😱 We then had to negotiate for them to arrange an accommodation for us right away in which they managed to get a ‘flat’ in Llanelli for us.
1. It’s not a cottage
2. It has only 1 bathroom instead of 2, which we’d preferred due to there are two couples (2 are elderly), not just one family.
3. It’s way outside Pembrokeshire. Llanelli is about an hour away from Pembrokeshire. We had plans in Pembrokeshire!
4. The location is so scabby!
It’s too late to do anything because it’s nearly evening time. So, we had to take it because we didn’t have any choice at the time. Once we settled in the to be honest quite a nice looking flat but in a scabby looking building, we found a cottage in Llangwm, Haverfordwest, which is in Pembrokeshire (Wondering why they said there’s no other choices). So, we asked the cottage.com to move us there the next day, which although have 2 bathrooms, one is actually outside the cottage 😓. But still better suited for our preference than the flat outside Pembrokeshire.
