This conference will be epic. It is important that the longevity industry reach (over time) a stronger and larger critical mass, and effective networking and education will, of course, be a substantial component of that.
Before being discovered by Pythagoras, the Pythagorean theorem already "existed". That the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of the legs of a right triangle is a reality regardless of whether humans know it or not. It is a reality by itself. The question is whether the procedure to defeat aging "exists" or not. If it "exists", this would mean that it could be discovered. The problem is that we are not sure if it "exists" or not.
Since we will be having gathering of these purported experts, here are the questions I would like to hear considered: Considering the enormous damage that an overpopulation of humans are already wreaking on the planet as they fight for dwindling resources, what is the advantage of increasing their lifespan? Is it selfishness, ignorance, or fear of the consequences of their own mortality? What are the ecological arguments for prolonging the human lifespan?
I'm not an expert but I do really care about the environment. By making people's brains younger and more capable, people will be able to care about the environment more, and to make technology to help the planet. You need to be in good health first to take care of your environment and those around you. Take care.
Resources are getting more abundant, not dwindling. (Read Superabundance for lots of data.) This is counter-intuitive but true. Population growth isn't inherently bad for the environment. Wealthier nations are reducing their environmental footprint per capita and some even in total. Also, population growth has ended in the West (and soon in the world) so we need to extend healthy life spans to stop population shrinking rapidly with all the problems that brings, including the ability to care for older people.
Always good to hear from Aubrey!
Thanks, Tom! Glad you like it :)

Thanks!
Thanks Aubrey you are the hope of a great future! 🙂

I always find it comical that people act like the planet is alive.
@@leonardomontalvo1417 It's remarkable how many people are willing to parade their ignorance in public, but it isn't humorous.
Hi, William! We'll surely consider this. Thanks for commenting.
