...Senator Armstrong isn't right about everything, though? Exceptionalism is not a meritocracy: Its anti-competitive and prevents the best ideas and people from rising to the top by rigging the game to maintain the exceptionalism because its tied to ego, and ego is inherently fragile and validation seeking, even at the cost of others. As Stafford Beer once said, "The purpose of a system (or idea) is what it does; there is no point in claiming that the purpose of a system is to do what it constantly fails to do".
@@osakanone yes, he was. If you'll notice Raiden ends up killing the wrong people over and over. Solidus and Armstrong both wanted to realize The Bosses dream(granted they missed the mark like every one else on that but still) They had an alternative to the patriot system that still cared about the plight of soldiers and the causes they would die for. You can't assume that with out these types of people it would be an ordered darwinian ecosystem. Nature has a meta. I'm sure god would understand the steps they were taking.
Trieze definitely had a point, but he wasn’t right in the end. The fact that he put as much faith in the Romefeller foundation as he did shows that he couldn’t see the organization for what it was, and that is was inevitably going to abandon him and all it’s other soldiers in favor of things like mobile dolls because they didn’t care about humanity like he did, they only cared about themselves and their power.

Hello! I just want to say that i love your content, I've been a subscriber of your channel since your videos about the One Year War and I loved every second of it. I'm kinda of new when it comes to Gundam, my introduction to the series was Gundam 00. I didn't pay attention to the plot, I just thought: "Cool robot fights!". I'm one of those people that have difficulties watiching old animes, but your series explaining the story of the old Gundam series made me really want to watch them myself. So thank you for everything!!! Can't wait for Episode 3!!!!
Waiting for endless waltz this is the best summary explained and details and need to know and trivia review so far. Good job man! You won my follow hihi
Its impressive just how much the issue of drone warfare has become in the years since this show came out. Watching the stuff out of Ukraine where the tech has been fully utilized, Treize was right. Sure it lets a weaker power punch up, but what happens when a major power uses it to annihilate lesser nations without breaking a sweat?
Trieze is by far one of the bests philosophical vilians in gundam history while adding in he Noin and zechs are part of the cool capes club. Wing zero best gundam ever even better then the gundams from cosmic era and what we have so far after it my dad usually preferred the Wing Zero Custom/Endless Waltz version but I like the tv version more and what we get in the Glory of losers manga and model kits we get the proto-zero which is a good blend of tv wing zero in the manga and then we get the Wing Zero angel thanks to Zechs/Millardo's Tallgeese Flugel. Love the video and looking forward to Part 3 though theres a confusing issue the show has mentioned After the Mobile dolls are unleashed on the moon base Deathscythe Hell and Altron gundams are stated multiple times of there completion percentage. Ep 25 as there being launched Duo mentions Deathscythe Hell and Altron are only 70% complete and there fighting is limited before tearing the Virgo models apart and escaping. Ep 26 Dr J mentions to Heero and Quatre that during the chaos on the moon base Duo and Wufei escaped and there gundams are only 80% complete with Professor G mentioning only minor adjustments are needed to complete them and with alittle time the 2 pilots can finish them on there own. Ep 32 After attacking an Oz transport fleet Duo mentions that Deathsycthe Hell is about 80% still but he does mention the remaining modifications shouldn't be to difficult. though it held its own against wing zero. So at some point Altron wasn't fully completed by the time of Episode 35 while in wufei's home colony. cause it could be easily explained that when Duo Quatre trowa and Noin went to peacemillion in episode 40 Deathsycthe Hell was fully completed and then Altron was the same in episode 44.
Wufei: “Cuz she’s a woman “ Heero: “Your in the way Get Lost” Amaro : “Sandrock tough me that” Duo: “anyone see’s me got a date with his maker” Trowa: “you got the wrong guy I’m not trowa” GundamWing CatchFrase, meme
For the cherry on top, you could've extend the Super Mario stage clear soundtrack to include the fireworks bonus, and sync up with some choice MS explosions by the Gundams.
So fun fact about the scene where Duo watches DeathScythe get blown up. Scott McNeil, the English VA for Duo said the inspiration for his scream was that he remembered when his wife accidentally ran over his motorcycle.

Okay bith the Gundam pilots and Zechs are killing Leo's, Aries, Cancers, etc but are fighting one a other. Why are Oz going after the Alliance but fighting Gundams as well?
The Alliance is influenced in part by the Romafeller Foundation, but they aren't wholly loyal to the Foundation the same way OZ is, so OZ is trying to wipe them out and give the Foundation unchecked control over Earth and Space. The Gundams technically oppose both, but they recognize that OZ is the bigger threat. Side note: one of my favorite lines from the Episode Zero manga is when Duo is escaping with a stolen mobile suit and he shouts back at his pursuers, "If you guys want a war so bad, why don't you just fight each other!"
@@wilreed8478 One thing that I just thought to mention is that another reason why the Gundams are targeting OZ is due to the direction of the Gundam engineers, but I won’t go into Endless Waltz spoilers as to why for that distinction. As for the sheer number of factions to keep track of…buckle up. It only gets worse from here.
@KigaiOkasu Dude, you rule!! Thanks so much. That was the big thing I missed as a kid watching Wing and never seemed to wrap my head around rewashing as an adult. I find it incredibly interesting to compare and contrast the motivations of characters and institutions from each series.
These videos are great and I look forward to the next episode! I want to add nice touch calling Lady's tactics "Zabi-ish" - because that is 100% accurate! I like the scene where Heero offers the granddaughter the gun - it's a scene I didn't really understand as a kid - I didn't understand why Heero felt so bad about killing her Grandfather as a child. To me, anyone in a Leo was a bad guy who needed to die and so did their friends. I've watched Gundam Wing start to finish probably more than any other show in my life - as a kid I had the whole series on VHS. I never once considered the idea of the 5 Gundams possibly having an AI because of the Zero. There's not a lot of moments that support this idea really, but I DO really like it as a thought. I want to comment on your remarks on Treize at around the 43 minute mark and say that your position on him, and your ability to separate the character from the ideology has dramatically increased my respect for you. It's perfectly okay to like a character who is a villain in a story. Liking the character as a person and their role in a story does not mean we agree with their ideology and world view. I think a lot of dislike that Treize gets is because people can't make that separation. Also is that Gundam Wing Abridged thing a whole series? As a kid I thought he just got in trouble for talking about violence in school, but as an adult I believe he was being censored for his position. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all of the Gundams have just as many verniers, if not more, than the RX-78-2, and it was still spaceworthy, so what's the deal?
It's about the placement more than the number, If the verniers are in a single plane you can only move on that plane.
The Rx78 is space capable but it is not however escape velocity capable
They also straight up didn't fully know until making CCA you'll notice all suits CCA and onwards have more micro thristers
The colonies have been unarmed for years, but then OZ takes over, and suddenly the colonies have enough cannons to make laser rain on Zero
Oz clearly takes the TF2 engineer's advice when it comes to solving problems.
