Says a lot about the state of today's music to see a young lady cover a tune over 50 years old. And beautifully. And hats off to the guitarist!
I dont want to sound myself like an old fud but Taylor Billie or any other couldnt come up with this as the art is now.
I was a teenager in the 1970's. This music was so heady and surreal back in the day. It's really hard to describe unless you lived it. I'm 63 now. I can only take small doses because the crosspull of time forward and backwards messes with me on a lot of levels.
....I know exactly what you mean. Those ..teenage years..where so full of magic....where am I now?
Well said 👍
I'm 63 too, I was there and know what you mean ✌️
62. Same.
No kidding bro. Your words were spot on. I just turned 65 this month, and this kind of music is Revealing, yet haunting somewhere in past good times, concerts, people who are no longer with us. But the song remains...
There’s so much undiscovered talent out there it’s mad
Yes...the present star structure is pure bullshit !! Show biz is a closed door full of favors and extortion and total elitism.
You said it
So true!
But the great thing is..they are no longer hidden in their bedroom. Using tape recorders. Completely isolated from the world.. no audio visual internet and the Global community of musicians these lucky kids enjoy. I'm from way back then. And I think this is so much better
@@johnpittscomI do believe that but there is still something to the push to the out front that we used to do. For me it was in 2000 this is a little in your face. Fantastic as it is. I guess what I’m saying is.. I happened to love the mystery of it all. The performance that you had to figure out and decide what you were gonna put forth. Cheers tho!”
I can listen to Led Zeppelin, any day, time, anything!! I’m not Joking!!!!!
Led Zepplin my first concert in 1977, love seeing the young still discovering the treasure of this music.
Well you can't get more stripped back than this. And what is left but the pure essence of a really wonderful song. It doesn't need the wild electric sounds, the extreme dynamics, although they are all good and Led Zeppelin's version is one of my favorites. But this is perfection, the song telling it's own story with such feeling and clarity. Sorry if I'm going overboard a little, but this was totally out of this world. Chiara seems to have a direct connection to the soul of Led Zeppelin's songs. Please give us more.
kmanison thank you so much! I really appreciate your words 🙏
Guitar work is flawless. Speaking from someone who has played this tune countless times. Singer put her own twist, quite entertaining. Pleasant duo for a day in the park 😊
Watch her cover of The Rain Song if you want to see her talent on full display.
What a beautiful voice! So very Unique. David didn't miss a lick on the guitar. Awesome!!
Haunting and Raw. Love the setting and background. I do believe this would bring tears to Robert's eyes. Love it.
First time I heard this song way back in 82 at 3 am traveling alone in the mountains, I felt like I was uplifted by Aliens my heart and ears were so tuned to it I almost cried with joy
Guitar work is impressive
Beautiful Guitar work, Beautiful Vocals... Beautiful music!
Awesome song choice Chiara and a masterful performance with David!!!! Thanks for this awesome rendition 🌝👌
Huge memories coming back just by listening to this jam. This gal is no joke.
You are singing the best songs from the best band. Keep it up. We all love your voice.
Such a pleasant rendition from two very talented musicians.
Nicely done improv! "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a folk song written by Anne Bredon in the late 1950s. Joan Baez recorded a solo version for her 1962 album Joan Baez in Concert and a variety of musicians subsequently adapted it to a variety of styles, including Led Zeppelin and Great White.
I didn't know that! Thank you!
I knew Jimmy got it from Joan but I didn't remember Anne B. I'm pretty sure Joan credited Anne on her records. Thanks!
That voice.... The guitar.. Perfection. Well done guys.
Thier timing is impeccable. Clean and very tight. He's channeling Page right off the album. Her voice sounds like a sweet mellow version of Stevie Nicks way off in the distance.
JANIS JOPLIN - she was alive when this came out. I KNOW Robert imitated her. I always wondered how she would have sounded covering this tune.
Y’all CRUSHED this timeless haunting tune
How Chiara is not viewed by MILLIONS is incomprehensible. I am an hour deep into these masterpieces and will be here probably for hours.
The rabbit hole on these great covers is real.
Brilliant clear audio. Whoever did the sound engineering is a professional.
A wonderful version. Led Zeppelin, the biggest, best & most popular band of all time!
You have a very beautiful and pleasant voice. I am so glad that young people are appreciating and covering these old songs.
I have just watched the Rain song and Kashmir by Chiara and am completely blown away. She has done Led Zeppelin proud. Amazing talent, beautiful voice and guitar playing. 👍👍💞💞
Beautiful voice. Incredible range and intonation. How led zep could sound better I don't know
Awesome guitar picking. 🎸
Compared to some of that repetitive techno beat = little talent = so called music that is going around today, this (and the originals) are simply nothing short of spiritual. Well done.
There are some silly comments. The two of you bring this to a beautiful conclusion.
IMHO, the best cover of this song *ever!*
This is a lovely cover by a gifted singer and David is an excellent guitarist and they deserve recognition. It would be nice to sub Chiara's channel too. For the song, it's actually a cover of Led Zep's cover since the song was written, in the late 50s, by Anne Bredon. Jimmy Page heard Joan Baez's cover of Bredon's song and he and Robert Plant gave it a more rock feel for LZ's first album. Why Page insisted on the song's credit being "Traditional, arr. by Jimmy Page" is unknown but Bredon became aware of it and received substantial back royalties. Since 1990, all Led Zep versions credit Bredon, Page, and Plant as the songwriters.
Well-founded as ever, Juliet! Good to see you here! 👍
Thank you so much for this little write up, dear Juliet! We're really glad you liked it!
All music channels should have someone like Juliet P.
Do I sense a new project starting Juliet P. Wonderful back story as usual. Just missing Ro's interviews LOL You really are a "value add" to any channel. 😍❤ - Loved this rendition Chiara and David!
He played that perfectly great guys!
This is originally a song by Ann Bredon from 1956. As a lot of Led Zeppelin songs, this is a brilliant rewritten cover! 1:41
Your acoustic versions of Led Zeppelin do the music so much justice. Well done.
You can do any Led Zeppelin song you have the right voice for it! That was really awesome!!!
Thanks, that means a lot to me!
This is extraordinary...
Saw this video before. Never gets old.
That was a super vocal performance of one of Led Zeppelin’s very, best songs. Beautiful changes that you added gave it such more colour.
I have two loves "In my life" guitar players and singers and you two FIT THE BILL!!!!!! Thanks for posting Chiara!!!!
WOW, WOW,WOW. what a beautiful version of one of my top 5 Zeppelin songs and until now my favourite cover has been by Pink, who really nails the feeling of that brilliant piece of Pages guitar and Plant's vocal range. Now I think you have just showed me the new No. one cover. It's the feeling in the vocal that makes me shiver down my 68yr old spine. I have been fortunate enough to see Zeppelin play this live and it blew me away but you have just done the same and that is a great comment from a huge Zeppelin fan. Love your work. I'd like to hear you put out a CD of their songs to bring back memories of my youth. 💞💞🎸🌟
Pinks was terrible.
Pink did a great job of this song but to each there own .great job guys keep playing
Every time this comes up on RUclips I have to watch it I'm hooked.
super!! vocals are tops !!!! thank you !!
So beautiful to hear young people reflecting their parents generation contribution to world music. She does have an extra special talent though!
And another amazing song sung by this amazing young woman!!!
Props to both not an easy song to play! thanks gives an old man hope for a new generation!
Very nice talented guitar and vocal work! David & Chiara That also brought chills down my spine! Zeppelin would of been proud 100% and applauded that.
Can I only hit "one" thumb up? Damn...that was a 10! Beautiful.
My lord this beautiful, are you famous you sing better than professional artists
agree! and great guitar work
Nailed it! Absolutely fabulous!
I can only say holy *hit! This is beautiful! Total justice!
Ganz toll ! Ich glaube Led Zeppelin liegt Dir .
Das freut mich wirklich sehr zu hören! ☺
Just too perfect for words.
Regards Mark in the UK
I love it, absolutely love it when young people do Led Zep.
Or Anne Bredon
Thats what happens when we raise our children right,
Don't you mean Led Zeppelin, right?
Beautiful voice great rendition of this classic song.❤
I say that's when it's calling me ......back .....home.....
GOOSEBUMPS at that ending! Beautiful.
Really nice sound. 👍
Wow Chiara you’ve amazingly brought my ears to hear differently two (with your Rain Song) beloved Led Zep songs I’ve previously heard a hundreds of times. Please record more.
Killer Guitar and vocal!
I enjoyed this very much. I have forgotten about this song for far too long.
Awesome rendition of an awesome song. Bravo!
Both are awesome.
Dude deserves a brand new guitar. She can sing.
Really superb. This is one of my favourite Led Zep songs, and I didn't think it could be covered. Massive props to you both.
Written by Anne Bredon in the late 50s.
Covered by Joan Baez in 1962.
Adapted by Led Zeppelin.
Brilliant cover by all!
You have an extraordinary feel for the Zep songs ❤
Very enjoyable, brought back many memories to this70 year old. Thank you for sharing.
amazing! vocals and guitar were both beautiful
You’re making me pull out my acoustic again…..
Damn she has a beautiful, proper singing voice, so much better than all these female so called singers in the charts these days.
Flawless performance from both of you. I love listening to you sing. ❤
Oh Chiara, thanks so much for all the Zep covers. And other groups too. FANTASTIC!!!❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Another beautiful Job. I love Jimmy's Acoustic Songs... Excellent Job again. Excellent Guitar Playing Again!!
I cried a little...thank you.
awesome cover just love it
Amazing job both of you. You were awesome. Keep the content coming. Hope you enjoy your day
Thank you ☺️
Beautiful!!! Zeppelin rocks!!
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page would be proud of you both, Led Zeppelin done right!!!!
Yeah... that is sweet! Thank you for sharing this!
Well I just wanted to say that I've heard 3 of you Led-Zepplin songs and they were all beautifully done whether you are accompanied or not. However, your guitar playing captured the Zepp essence as well as your angelic voice. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent 😎💕💯
Led Zeppelin, Genesis, King Crimson, Jethro Tull ecc! Che Grande Musica Avevamo in Quei Anni! Tullio
This young lady is exceptional. Thank you to get the real feel of it all.
An awesome arrangement, Chiara and David!
Stripped to its basic essence and packed with feeling - I love it!
Thanks a lot, Phil ☺️
HONESTLY! THAT WAS SO NICE!
REALLY WELL DONE! SERIOUSLY!
HER SINGING IS HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL! I AM LED ZEPPELIN
FAN SINCE 1972!
Awesome cover I just loved it. The guitar & vocals were amazing and you were both in the moment which made it even more special.
Mesmerizing, bravo!!
What a beautiful, quiet rendition of this classic song.
great recording. beautifully sung and the guitar is perfect
That was Beautiful. Both of you are amazing.
Your voice is soo beautiful and better than anyone with a recording contract being played on radio with their autotuned garbage voice.
Its best you keep putting your music out through Social media and you never sell your soul and sign with a record label beast system.
EPIC. AMAZINGG
Very well done!! 🤘☮
Great job guys
Excellent job you guys!!!
Excellent performance.
Beautiful. Just what it needs to be.
Wow! Beautiful duet!
Nice 👍. Solid Guitar work's. Chaira your voice is amazing. I absolutely wouldn't want to go up after you at open mic.
Wunderschön. Ein großes Kompliment an euch beide.
love her touch of class at the end (did Robert plant originally do that too ?) .. Chiara could have easily nailed this instrumentally (from what I saw in her cover of Rain Song), but being a (not as good *AHEM!*) guitarist singer too, really appreciated her being accompanied here, letting her really delve deeper into the vocalising of this song in just her own way. Really nuanced. Really sophisticated for a vocalist, covering classic power songs.. and mature delivery artistically that belies her youth! WHOA.
Love LED ZEPELIN, and love this song and your rendition of it! thanks.
It's a cover of Led Zeppelin's cover of Joan Baez's cover of Anne Bredon's song.
So in other words, a cover of a cover of a cover?
It's like the song 'Cat's In The Cradle', a cover of a cover of a cover
the original was Harry Chapin @Nova Scotia, Canada. There are many many great songs that most people don't realise are covers like these songs, it is FAR more common that one would think, the fact that big bands in the past often played cover versions of earlier songs with the majority thinking they'd written it?..
Particularly on their first two albums, Led Zeppelin recorded many cover songs of old blues hits, ballads generations ago etc themselves. It's not surprising that many folks don't know these & many other hits are covers, rather than originals written by Zeppelin themselves?. I've been playing guitar & music since 1979, I'm 53yrs old & know my Rheinhart's from my Kravitz's from my Segovia's from my Morello's & adagio from allegro from an acciaccatura (B.Mus.Ed degree); I concur it is a salient valid point you make here David - Chiara & David's version of 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' sounding as lovely as it does - in fact remains & always is;
a cover of a cover of a cover. Nothing wrong with that either, I love playing covers.

P.S. This guitarcheopteryx says far too much guitar is grossly insufficient,
woefully inadequate & nowhere near enough. Y'know it makes sense.
Peace, respect & be nice to ya missus!
@@matthewtayloryowieresearch1912 People are calling this a Led Zeppelin song. This is one of many in the long line of "Pagerisms". When the Levee Breaks - written in the 1930's by Memphis Minnie. Nobody's fault but mine - by Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. The most egregious is Dazed and Confused by Jake Holmes. Jimmy Page says he never heard it, despite Jake opening for The Yardbirds several times. Jake spent 30 years pursuing Page and there was an out of court settlement in 2010. Whole Lotta Love and You Need Love by Muddy Waters? The Lemon Song and Killing Floor by Howling Wolf? Led Zeppelin are the world's greatest covers band.
Zeppelin version sounds more like the cover done by The Association than that by Joan or Anne... ruclips.net/video/e-UuoxrYXxI/видео.html
I really enjoyed this. Nice to hear the young’uns bring out the magic in the classics from my era. And thank you dude for letting your hair grow. I really dislike the short hair styles for men of late.
Wow talented both of you..amazed..
Beautiful
