Wisdom in why Hair and Nails are not Cut before Eid

Ever wondered why we can't cut our hair and nails before eid?
عن أم سلمة رضي الله عنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ هِلَالَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَأَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُضَحِّيَ، فَلْيُمْسِكْ عَنْ شَعْرِهِ وَأَظْفَارِهِ رواه مسلم (1977)
The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said in a ḥadīth narrated by Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها "When you see the crescent of Dhu'l Ḥijjah, and one of you wishes to slaughter, then they should not trim their hair and nails. (Muslim)
ٍImām al-Munāwī رحمه الله stated: "The one wishing to slaughter (on Eid) should avoid removing their hair so they may remain whole and all of themselves can be freed from the fire." (Fayḍ al-Qadīr)
