Big Bear Eagles Spirit?

- Captured this young eagle in Big Bear on my camera, this could be the offspring of the very own Jackie and Shadow famous Big Bear bald eagles.
Spirit is not banded, so impossible to know. What do you think? could this be Spirit or simply another young eagle?
I still believe the juvenile that has been harassing J & S is Spirit.😂❤ Juvenile is WAY to comfortable around the area and nesting tree as seen on other posts. Spirit is definately known to be quite brazen and can give a hoot when Ma & Pa squawk at her to scram with having those 3 eggs presently on the nest!🤣 I sure hope you caught our girl here, very sweet.💜🦅💜

I love our little Spirit! Boy..was she a Daddy’s girl! 💕 I believe that is her who frequents the nest lately, and I believe it was her who tried to comfort Mom last year when mom lost her too eggs to the brutal Winter. I continue to look for her all the time. She’ll always be my favorite little eagle because she was my first! Love you Spirit. ♥️💕🌷👏🙏😘
Eagles and most animals don't think like that. They aren't human. They have feelings for sure, but they don't dwell on things as humans do. And certainly don't comfort each other months or years later about something they forgot
I also believe Spirit visits quite often just gotta love them feathered friends

Jackie and Shadow are great parents.
Simba and the eaglet before him both died. They were identified because they were both banded. I read it on Lady Hawk post. Spirit just celebrated her second birthday on the 3/3/2024. I pray that she’s alive, happy, safe and always have a full crop. ❤ 🦅
Well she had two great parents that did their job. They have a new family and new year to deal with.

Just want to say that this is a lovely subadult bald eagle who could be any of dozens if not hundreds of eagles fledged in CA in 2022. There is no way to tell them apart if not banded, and banding is no longer needed, as the species is once again flourishing here. We know young eagles travel after fledging, and that they visit lakes and other eagle places all around. We loved our Spirit and wish we knew for sure how she’s doing, maybe out on her grand tour of the world, becoming a boss like her mom. She sure got a good start. Send her your love, and check out the triplet eggs now in the BBV nest!

There is only one way to know: Spirit has her tiny yellow "eyebrows" on both eyes 😊.
Those are quite common on Raptors, some are just more pronounced which gives the Lil' Birdies of Prey that Fierce or Stern look! It's called the Supraorbital Ridge.
I'd say just toss a WONKY stick or a gigantic fishie up near the juvenile birdie and then you'll know for sure! 😆
and or if she squees when she flies each time she flaps her wings. I nic named her "Squeegal" LOL

If you had video of her flying then Cali Condor of Fobbv could tell you the age of this eagle. Would be nice if it is Spirit, although we will never know.
