      It is, but the same old questions of ownership and governance remain.

    If you're looking at a spillway, it’s great because it looks natural and can handle a lot of water without clogging. Plus, it’s better for wildlife. But it does need space and can be a bit more expensive and harder to maintain.
    A drain pipe, on the other hand, is super simple and cheap. It’s compact and keeps the overflow controlled, but it can clog up and isn’t as pretty. Plus, it might not handle really heavy rain as well as a spillway.
    If your pond’s smaller and you want something easy, go for the pipe. But if you’ve got more space and want something that blends in, the spillway’s the way to go.

    You should have laid the branches perpendicular on the road to prevent run off and fight erosion. Instead you chose what was easy.

      Can you elaborate more?

      @@manuelcarvalho4319Rain coming down the slope of a dirt road causes erosion. Placing branches across the road which are thin enough as not to seriously impede a vehicle driving over it is a counter measure. The branches act as a series of speed bumps which slow the water down, and act as a sediment trap. This stabilizes the road. Furthermore these branches act as added traction during the rain. The branches are left on the road to slowly disintegrate over time.

    I think you are in Portugal because there they will not maintain the roads properly.

    How wide was your terrace to the next one ?

    • @manuelcarvalho4319
      @manuelcarvalho4319 4 дня назад

      On average, the width of a terrace is 3.5m - 4m. The slopes are 6m-8m wide
