Guys guys the vans he’s referring to are not equipped with the 7.3 now e350s do but I don’t think Amazon uses those transist at more carry’s 3.5 eco boosts that’s the biggest it’s a trick title
when I saw "amazon van swapped" I was expecting the little 4cyl from the transit with a big ass turbo, I had no idea they put the 7.3 in vans and that amazon bought them. also hell yea Colorado native! I've seen that car before!
Same looking at the thumbnail but there are two kinds there are the transits that use the 3.5 ecoboost but the other one is used in the F-59 Van that use the 7.3l or mobile home chassis van however you want to call it
People involved in the automotive scene these days often forget that one of the most popular things to do in the Hot Rod scene during it's formative years was to swap a truck motor into a car! This concept is at the very core of Hot Rodding culture, and it's so cool to see it making a comeback! Yes, one could argue that the LS swaps brought it back first, but LS swaps really only started happening after GM had already been putting LS motors in cars from the factory, and people realized that the variants in the truck's were very similar and easy to convert over to the car variants, whereas in this case, Ford has yet to put a 7.3 Godzilla in anything but the Super Duty trucks and apparently the Econoline vans (which is news to me, too), so in a way... this IS the resurgence of that concept! It's really cool to see David getting to experience the same thing (although to a much higher degree thanks to modern technology) that our Hot-Rodding Forefathers got to experience nearly a century ago! I'm sure there probably were other motor swaps throughout history that were common like the LS and Coyote Swaps (like the OG 302 swap) but I'm not super familiar with them, myself. Feel free to let me know, if you are particularly educated in that area of history!
The 5.0 is a DOHC 4-valve so it's power is moreso at the top end. The Godzilla has that same old-school 2-valve throaty pushrod noise that GM has kept with the LS.
@TheyCallMeMrMaybe yeah I love the sound of a loud 5.0 over a ls lt whatever any day but this like this guy^ said this sounds just RIGHT for a mustang. They should've put both v8s in mustangs
What shocks me the most is there was an engine like that in a Amazon Van! I figured a normal, boring, eco-friendly engine would be in all Amazon delivery vans.
That 7.3L had to come out of one of the F59 based Vans. Most Amazon vans around here are the Transit based version which gets a 3.5l V6 so that’s what I expected when I click on this. The 7.3L is a beast.
Most ford prime vans either have a cyclone or 3.5 ecoboost on the dually transit chassis. This came from a step van which you don’t see amazon use that much because they require more certification than the transit vans.
just build a 2dr Bronco prerunner from scratch (skip raptor all together) and put in a Godzilla with a Demon's 2.9l IHI twinscrew and cryocooler on it, boom. cant you even order the 2dr base bronco with a manual 4x4 drivetrain? manual would be bad ass. if it didnt, the f150 came with a zf6 and the zf6 will bolt to an H2's BW tcase if you make a 31spline input shaft for it. so... then youd have a 7.3l bigblock ford with a 2.9l ihi twinscrew blower and a bad ass cooler setup, a 6spd German 3500 trans, and a helical diff full-time 4x4 tcase with a planetary low range and a locker in it. shit would honestly be unhinged lol
I first found out about the 7.3 Godzilla from Cleetus's channel when it was McFlurry's first motor. I always thought it was a special crate motor. I had no idea these things were put into Amazon vans of all vehicles! I didn't even know it could fit in there!
I Have a 72 Maverick Grabber with a 4.6 dohc with a 3650 5 speed. A N/A 7.3 sounds good to me! I guess I'll need weight and measurements comparing the two.
That seems more fun than a Coyote. You have to really wring out the 5.0 to feel the heat. That Godzilla probably feels more brutish than the leggy 5.0.
its like someone at Ford got tired of seeing LS mustangs and said watch us make a real pushrod motor for you lol build is sick love the motion auto tv channel, dude is talented.
I 2anna 7.3 car so bad. I have a s197 mustang that I'd love to do that too myself. One day it'll happen. Iv watched this car since the 2jz swap. Love how crazy to detail he is to all the little things. Awesome dude and awesome car builder no doubt.
I love when Trevor decides to do something different dude comes up with some crazy ideas at times like the ls go-kart even if he didn't do it and the forgotten Saab projects haha Also here is to hoping the new truck 6.8 and 7.3 v8s start getting cheaper
I was picturing some little 1.6t engine from a Amazon van. Wow. Figured Amazon would be trying to save money, but they're putting those big engines in there? Wow
Listening to this thing revving I feel it would be easier and faster with a 10 speed from the f250 (standard combos should fit). The low rev ceiling and high NA torque would be a perfect combo for a lot of gears!
Very cool unique build. I bet the torque is insane. Is it 580 to the wheel? If so that’s extremely impressive. I have a buddy building a Foxbody with the 7.3L. He is going single turbo. Can’t wait till he gets it on the road.
do you have a link to a Transit with a 7.3. I have never seen one and even on the ones we have ordered there has never been a 7.3 option. now i believe it may be an option for E cutaway, but i haven't seen Amazon use those.
Well I check my Amazon Ford Transit and it has the 3.5 EcoBoost engine. None have the the Amazon vans have a 7.3 Godzilla pushrod V8. Either 3.5 V6 3.5 EcoBoost or 3.7 V6
No wonder those Amazon vans rip around town… when they say your package is 10 stops away, just look out your window because it’s already on your door step
I think when Bezos makes the transition to all-electric vans, a lot of those Godzilla engines are going to go mysteriously missing. If not outright sold. On Amazon, no less.
Getting those packages EXTRA fast.
now crashed amazon vans are on my shopping list thanks
Cool swap. Thing kinda sounds like my buddy's C6 ZO6.
Guys guys the vans he’s referring to are not equipped with the 7.3 now e350s do but I don’t think Amazon uses those transist at more carry’s 3.5 eco boosts that’s the biggest it’s a trick title
imagine Ford doing a Shelby GT500 KR using the 7.3 hopped up to the max...
So we went from a Camaro RS swapped Silverado motor to an ecoboost mustang swapped Godzilla motor, how fitting.
Yes
Ferd wins 💪🏾
when I saw "amazon van swapped" I was expecting the little 4cyl from the transit with a big ass turbo, I had no idea they put the 7.3 in vans and that amazon bought them. also hell yea Colorado native! I've seen that car before!
the transits had the 3.5 ecoboost, that0s what i expected xd
Same looking at the thumbnail but there are two kinds there are the transits that use the 3.5 ecoboost but the other one is used in the F-59 Van that use the 7.3l or mobile home chassis van however you want to call it
I was expecting an awd twin turbo ecoboost swap
Not unless Amazon has the Econoline cutaways in their fleet which they may have. I have seen the ecoboost Transits making home delivers.
My first thought was the rivian electric motors.
It sounds like a old classic Mustang, just sounds amazing
Sounds like a LS camaro or Corvette too
My thought too. It sounds like that classic, old school muscle car sound
Ur crazy if u think that sounds like a 65 mustang

The boost cam is a hint what MotionAutoTv is planning to do to this 7.3 next. 😊
Planning? It already has a massive turbo! 🤣 This was filmed a few weeks before it got boosted 😎
@joealex65 so they converted back to an ecoboost 😑
Dang i actually think this sounds better then the 5.0
The 5.0 is a DOHC 4-valve so it's power is moreso at the top end.
The Godzilla has that same old-school 2-valve throaty pushrod noise that GM has kept with the LS.
Easily. It just SOUNDS right imo
@TheyCallMeMrMaybe yeah I love the sound of a loud 5.0 over a ls lt whatever any day but this like this guy^ said this sounds just RIGHT for a mustang. They should've put both v8s in mustangs
It does sound good.
That is the last motor I expected to come out of an Amazon van. Sounds great!
Honestly should make a new mach 1 with this engine making say 550hp and 500 tq... would be a SWEET middle ground and a honest to God cruiser!
Bring back the big block mustangs!
I think this is what the dark horse should’ve been 550hp and 550lb ft
What shocks me the most is there was an engine like that in a Amazon Van!
I figured a normal, boring, eco-friendly engine would be in all Amazon delivery vans.
I was thinking like at most like a 3.5 liter twin turbo engine, definitely not a huge truck motor. 😂
@@ReVolt_e-Vlogs bruh i was in one of those vans and found THAT out
Those 7.3s are in the freightliner stepvans not the transits@@ReVolt_e-Vlogs
Chevy has an 8.1 big block that was an option in 2500 trucks in the early 2000s as well

Yeah as a previous Amazonian this caught me off gaurd

David,
from someone with a shrunken attention span from years of YT video consumption, I watched the video the entire way through.
Thank you
They totally should make a ford raptor r with the 7.3 Godzilla engine. NA and a little more expensive than an ecoboost raptor
Then make one and call it the mega raptor...supercharged 7.3 because why not
@@monikhushalpurithat would be so bad a ngl. Kinda tired of the V6 Raptors when it started with a V8
Very few new v8 vehicles due to emissions
@@hydedunn1378 fr dude and it’s so annoying

Its actually a very similar size to the 5.0
Freaky compact for the displacement
These are the swaps you'd just have to see to believe. Great video!
And that's just NA, imagine how much cooler it is now with a turbo! But Trevor hasn't released any videos on that 😭
Or a supercharger
So sick to see the motion auto car. Love Trevor’s channel
this has to be one of the most unique builds i’ve seen to date
I Have a 72 Maverick Grabber with a 4.6 dohc with a 3650 5 speed. A N/A 7.3 sounds good to me! I guess I'll need weight and measurements comparing the two.

This NEEDS to be put into a s197 mustang
A friend and I talked about a 7.3 swap several years ago as a "wouldn't it be fun if" convo. I'm glad someone was mad enough to actually do it...
Trevor's a artist
I was expecting a 3.5 eco, but this is way better!
It’s freaking awesome! It’s about time we see something different and Ford at the same time 💪🏾
its like someone at Ford got tired of seeing LS mustangs and said watch us make a real pushrod motor for you lol build is sick love the motion auto tv channel, dude is talented.
The big blocks are back baby! I own a f350 Godzilla as soon as I bought it I wondered if anyone would buy the 7.3 in a car, and here we are!
My brother is very creative. Wait till you see what hes doing next.
I 2anna 7.3 car so bad. I have a s197 mustang that I'd love to do that too myself. One day it'll happen. Iv watched this car since the 2jz swap. Love how crazy to detail he is to all the little things. Awesome dude and awesome car builder no doubt.
Interested after you mentioned Amazon van was wrecked from a tornado. Gotta boost it to remember where it came from
I think it's the happiest Ecoboost Mustang ever!❤❤
Best sounding mustang imo, just sounds so raw!
Another build where I would NEVER have the radio on…sounds incredible💪
That’s a crazy idea and was fun to watch.
I love when Trevor decides to do something different dude comes up with some crazy ideas at times like the ls go-kart even if he didn't do it and the forgotten Saab projects haha
Also here is to hoping the new truck 6.8 and 7.3 v8s start getting cheaper
amazon prime van entering formula drift when!?
3:49 sounds incredible. Ford should make a Mach 1 with this engine
I could have listened to that for twice as long and it still wouldn't have been enough
Who remembers when Trevor had that s550 JZ powered? That was some prime RUclips time for content
Thats the engine i want in my xr8, ive even converted to a rear sump k frame to allow it to directly bolt in
Would have been more fun to build the van! Can you imagine a turbo 7.3 Amazon van! It would be too fun!
This mustang is the pinnacle of (there’s no replacement for displacement)😎😎😎
I see... David is still holding a not so subtle grudge against altima owners 😂😂😂
Hard not to in Atlanta
Finally, a good sounding Mustang
Disappointed it was a Godzilla and not the 5cyl Diesel, but this is still pretty damn cool.
Wow! that was crazy 😲
also didn’t know Amazon ran a 7.3L
Bro made the FIRST Mustang in history that actually sounds good.
I was thinking this was gonna be a 3.7 to 3.5EB swap… pleasantly surprised 🤣
I would love an Ecoboost stang swapped with a Barra but this is NUTS.
Trev does good swaps 🤙
I was picturing some little 1.6t engine from a Amazon van. Wow. Figured Amazon would be trying to save money, but they're putting those big engines in there? Wow
Dang haven’t seen you pop up on my feed for a couple years 😂
Blame the algo. Lol.
Kidding. Thanks for stopping by friend.
I was so baffled, he’s must be talking about the ford ecoline vans. Those do come with the 7.3L, my co-worker drives ones
What’s with that picture flash at 1:56?
Wish I would of heard the chop of it with the boost cam
Found my next new project 🎉 what a surprise under the hood of those vans
Trevvy Customs, that thing sounds real good 👍

Dudes mustang has seen more engines than my eyes combined
The sound... omg.. I need a towel.
It’s from the DOT Stepvan. The Ford F59 Chassis
Probably the chassis cab cutaway transit. Wouldn’t be surprised.
David was like "you guys aren't ready for this week's car reviews"
7.3 is basically an Ls. That you can stroke out to 498c or 8.1. Mast motorsports builds a 1300hp version.
Thank you for the inspiration, my procharged 13 is at 150k and while my goal is 250k sooner or later a swap will happen lol.
This is such a cool build
For the second time, intros are getting better
do you have a link to a Transit with a 7.3. I have never seen one and even on the ones we have ordered there has never been a 7.3 option. now i believe it may be an option for E cutaway, but i haven't seen Amazon use those.

Man we need more rolling shots!
It sounds like a real muscle car now
Rip david, wish he was still with us. Thanks to him he pre recorded vids to come out after his passing🕊️🕊️
(This is a joke btw)
Fun fact, all the new ford U-Haul trucks come with this motor as well.
Godzilla platform would be a great launchpad for a boss 429 return
Time to go work for Amazon lol so I can 4.8 swap my future Camaro 🤔 I planned it all 😬
I saw Amazon van and I thought “why?” Then I got told it was a Godzilla motor, now I’m wondering what kind of Amazon van has a 7.3??😂
The big commercial ones you don't see often.
Probably alone on this, but I’m taking this sound over the s65 m3
5:24 not bad for a freaking truck motor lol like every mustang 1980 to 2010 basically was the f150 engine and technically still is to a extent.
mans just out here casually throwing every swap in a new gen mustang, playing real life forza 💙
No wonder those Amazon vans rip around town… when they say your package is 10 stops away, just look out your window because it’s already on your door step
So it’s an ECOPrime?
Now, these Godzilla V8s. Do they have locked up ECUs like the 4th gen Coyotes in the S650 Mustangs?
If it wasn’t for the EPA I bet ford would offer the 7.3 as an option in factory mustangs
WTF? Every Amazon van I’ve ever driven had the 3.7 v6 in them. Even the CDV vans (very large, the size of a class B RV) had the v6.
Yep. Same at my station.
@@SnarkyRC shoot if they had v8s at my station, my Netradyne would be going off all the time. 😂😂
Any plans to boost it?
Should’ve put an Amazon livery on it
Oh Baby Yeah!!!
I think when Bezos makes the transition to all-electric vans, a lot of those Godzilla engines are going to go mysteriously missing. If not outright sold. On Amazon, no less.
I was expecting a 3.5.
David needs to find someone that has a twincharged Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat.
This is what a mustang should sound like 😂 the coyote makes plenty of people sure but this is how a mustang needs to sound
I was expecting one of the various turbo V6s. Lol
Is that 580hp to the tire or crank?
ima do this with an old 69 or 70s ford coupe
What rear gears he running?
WE MAKE THE STREETS ºººoo *bass drops*
This is so sick🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
