- With indicative pricing to start at P2.2 million (pricing to be announced on February 6), the 2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid is set to make waves in the three-row crossover SUV segment. This puts into question even the existence of the RAV4 Hybrid and the CR-V Hybrid, since those two SUVs are in a smaller category.
PRICES FINALLY ANNOUNCED TODAY:
Sorento HEV EX: P2,188,000
Sorento HEV EX+: P2,588,000
Sorento HEV SX AWD: P2,888,000
This is overall better than the crv hybrid which only comes with fwd and 5seaters
Ikey, love the in-depth details here despite kinda feeling you're not that into the new Sorento. Everything was well laid out to us even for a first impressions video, but not too overboard with the explanations as well. Probably the best first-impressions vid of the new Sorento I've watched ngl.
But sorry, Sorento way over the Santa Fe. I really appreciate the unique and retro-vibe look of the Hyundai but the interior feels too over the top for me. This Kia looks perfect to me anywhere: interior and exterior.
Now AC Mobility, do justice and market the Sorento way more now. It deserves to sell, don't give it the same fate as the pre-facelift model 👌🏼
I wouldn’t cross out the CRV and RAV4 just yet. Sure if I’m looking for 7 seats this Sorento is on my list.
But if I’m on the lookout for just 5 seats, those other brands are still in my top options. They have proven track records of reliable hybrids now after all.
The cross shop is CX60 diesel versus this SX Sorento. Hard to pick which one to get
CX-60 diesel if you want something outright sporty, while the Sorento is far more isolated and soft.
@ does the PH units have ambient lighting?
My other car is an MX5 RF so I guess this is the family hauler so no need to be overly sporty

In terms of driving dynamics and comfort, how does it compare with the Santa Fe?
They’re very similar, but the Sorento has a ride advantage, mostly due to having 19-inch wheels versus the 21s on the Calligraphy we tested.
Calligraphy HEV only has 20s. ICE Calligraphy has 21s.

Yes on most variants except for the SX AWD.

Put 7 people in there and you will miss that diesel.
I bought it 3 months before from New Jersey its giving me 40 MPG, 7 Seater, hybrid , everything is good but 1st month passenger side window motor gone, so they replaced free, next month horn gone so they replaced free, and now IS government recalled all new Sorento as it has headlight software issues so they upgraded that too. Now as new car buyer im thinking in 3 months car went 3 time repairing so how long it will last ??!! Build quality really poor , cheap plastic and something captain chair make sound at lower speed..they jus5 build partially car and give it clients, they are in hurry just jow they announced 2026 Sorento 😂
