I purchased a DCT Tour new in late 2023 and I’ve been very happy with the bike. Max at Traxxion Dynamics is correct when he says the suspension is under sprung and under damped. Max has a solution and I may go down this road in the future. If you don’t already, I highly recommend you check Max’s RUclips channel and his website. The seat for many, not everyone, is uncomfortable and I replaced my seat with a Russell Day Long due to pelvic bone pain after 90 minutes on the Honda seat. As many have reported, I too get the ticking from the engine right bank shortly after the engine is started, however, it goes away, once the engine is at normal operating temperature. The DCT works well, but it is quite clicky (audible) from first through fourth/fifth; sixth to seventh is the quietest. I’ve check with many other riders and the forums and it appears to be a normal characteristic of the DCT on the Goldwing. I did my first engine/transmission oil and filters replacements at 800 miles and converted to AMSOil full synthetic. Future changes will be accomplished annually. Thanks for your video and congratulations on your new Goldwing.
Thanks for the comments, Jim. And congratulations on your new Gold Wing! The trickiest part of the oil change is that DCT filter cover replacement. I switched to full synthetic as well and then ran the bike through the clutch synchronization process. Stay in touch and safe riding!
If their on 76th St. Just off the interstate, my dad bought his 1977 Honda 750 four k. There. I was 12 when we went there to get his one and only bike he ever owned. What a small world.
Go choice my man. I love my 2020 DCT Tour, since new. Will not replace it with anything else. Nothing comes close. When Summer comes, I cant wait to commute to work daily with it. A bike forever.
Hello and I hope your week has gone well. I just stumbled across your channel, watched this video and decided to subscribe. I enjoyed the content and will be checking out more of your videos. Thanks for sharing.
@@royhall3760 , thanks for checking out the channel. Like you I am also thinking about the 2025. Not sure if there will be any real changes. Guess we will find out soon. Good luck with your decision.
It is a shame that just like the BMW K 1600 flagship model, no blind spot detection or active cruise. Maybe the next Gen will have those options. It feels much lighter than the K1600 even though it is heavier by a few pounds.
subscribed to the Channel! So I have a 21 Harley Ultra with lots of stuff done to it but ive been debating on going to a Goldwing. Tired of adding power all the time for my bike and adding all kinds of other stuff as well. I just want to ride at this point. So im thinking of going Goldwing... Would i miss the power of the harley or would i not notice making the switch or would the goldwing be much better. Wife rides with me alot as well
Thanks for the comment, Cody. My wife would tell you go the Gold Wing route. I owned several HD touring models and the Honda provides the balance of everything you need to be happy. Most importantly, take one for a test ride. Then you will really know.
Honda wants to make sure that you don't run the motorcycle faster than 130MPH. Wind tunnel testing shows some instability above 130. I do not think that is changeable within the ECU, but not 100% sure.
I bought the slipper clutch equipped 6MT over the Dumb Car Transmission. If Honda pulls there head out and includes launch control and a slipper clutch I will give my little brother my 2018 6MT Wing Tour and go with DCT Tour.
I have owned purchased new a 2021 GW DCT tour and a 2023 DCT tour. Had problems with the: leaving me stranded?? The 23 had a ticking noise in the motor. Sold one and traded the other on a truck. I licked both of them, may get a 24?? Honda needs to improve the luggage; I hated the top trunk: passenger needs to get off or move to the front to open? The saddle bags open from the side: for me that really is crap!! I also don’t like no chrome for 2024, I must just be a picky fussy old man.
Nice video review Mark, i heard about the channel from Cruiseman and Dang, he was right about that clean garage.

Great video Mark. Thank you for posting it. In fact, so impressed, I just bought the same bike.
That is awesome. So glad to hear that. I'm doing a ride around Lake Superior on mine this September! Enjoy and congratulations!
@@MarksGarage17 THAT will be a GREAT ride Mark. Safe travels!
Thank you for the review.. I pick up my 2024 airbag model in less then a week..
That is awesome. Congratulations! Please let me know if I can ever assist with any questions. Cheers.
Are the usb plugs in trunk and side bag usb c or usb a. Websites say usb c but videos seem to show usb a. Do not want to bring wrong cable.
@@rscottburnette7211 Yes. Those are USB A. The larger of the two
@@MarksGarage17 thank you very much from a fellow cheese head

Thanks goldwingmoments. I'll have a trip video posted soon where I ride a 2019 Gold Wing DCT, along with a surprising result. Cheers.
I ride a 2015 Harley Roadglide but really wanting a Goldwing. Waiting to see what changes on the 2025. Subbed to your channel. Love your bike.

Right on with your comments. I think Honda will surprise us with the 2025 model.

Love gold wing ❤
I have a 2021 F-3S Spyder and love their version of the DCT by BRP products.
Thanks for the comment. Are you referring to the semi-automatic transmission? If so, I agree. Well done BRP
Curious Mark, are you a part of the new Goldwing association...EWMA?
No....I'll have to check that out. Thank you....
Does this come with a speed governor on it? If so can you get rid of it?

Are you interested in power folding mirror for Goldwing GL1800?
Thanks for the question. Not sure but please email some information
DCT is amazing there is no reason you really want to ride the manual version period!
Once I rode the DCT version I was hooked. It is like you said....amazing.

Hey, It’s good to know what you like. I was not sure of the no chrome on my 24 too. But after seeing it in person, it rocks!
