    Apologies for the long break between videos but we caught the same 2 week flu that everyone else got hit with. Going to record some BSS VS soon and looking forward to diving into some Fusion World after worlds at the end of the month

    That's the issue with moderm TCGs, there just isn't enough demand for all these games at the same time to all have healthy player bases. Casual players aren't usually open to trying games with smaller communities so it's difficult to grow these days when even the big names are losing players. I wonder what the TCG community will look like in the future as I'm not sure kids these days are really into card games like they were. Back in early 2000s everyone had played games like Yu-Gi-Oh, but now a lot of kids are into video games way more than physical cards.

      that's because everything's becoming digital. if technology did not advance the way it did, lots of people would still be playing physical card games. and not to mention all of these card games have so many to choose from and their expansions, it is very expensive

    Play the Japanese version since it's released, it's feel really good to play your favourite title in card game. With more title coming out, T1 currently has a good diversity of decks, which is a healthy competitive environment at the moment.

    I can't wait for this game. I haven't been this excited for a card game since the one piece release. Sure it wasn't that long ago but I'm still excited. Also when I first got into one piece, it was already out. For this game, I have to wait for months for it to come out.

    You know me, im hyped for the initial jump stuff, Bleach is the best, but oh man, the Jump Festa announcements and using even more RECENT jump titles.
    I want to see them come home in english. 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, Kaiju No. 8, Undead Unluck. The different card back though makes me feel that chances of that are pretty low though.
    I am amused we can get duel masters gameplay in english anywhere BUT actual duel masters

    Nice video! I was thinking I could safely ignore this game because most of the shonen properties don't speak to me... but if they bring Tales to the states (or announce Scarlet Nexus for some freak reason) I dunno if I can resist picking up a deck.

      I'm very curious to see what games we get since we've seen both Tales and Tekken. What's more interesting is the survey asking about what IPs we would want asked everything from Naruto to Gundam and Evangelion.

    The thing that’s hard for these games is that scalpers will ruin how new players get into the game so there’s less player base. Less player base is the downside of trying to get the game to everyone to play thus making the scalpers have a subpar chance of having any card game take off.

      256 player event sold out instantly and sales are very strong on TCG Player. Not only that, but Union Arena seems to be in every big box store.
      Things are off to a very strong start actually!

    Thanks for the great video. Do you know if there is a website were we can check Meta decks from Asia ? Will be good to know in advance what set has good decks and what set doesn't. or what kind of deck I can build with the sets we will get.

      With the changes on the cardback we might see major changes to the game from a balance standpoint so I had left it out, but the site i've been using is: torecards.com/

    I was in Japan last spring when this game debuted. I bought Jujutsu Kaisen and HxH. I thought it was a HUGE hit. Only 2 stores had boxes in Shinjuku. For some reasons. It’s Not popular at all. The gameplay seems kind of slow. All of these Japanese card games are mostly the same. In term of game mechanics. The only good thing are the 2 kinds of AA cards. For collectors.

    • @KozmicPlays
      @KozmicPlays  10 месяцев назад +3

      Slow? Games are over as fast as 4 minutes 😅
      What other card games do you play then?

    • @Japaninhimself
      @Japaninhimself 10 месяцев назад

      @@KozmicPlaysBTW great video. You did a lot of research on this game. I guess I misspoke. I should have known. All Japanese card games are FAST. And not very fun. I like a lot of cards games. I just don’t have the money for all of them. Right now. I play Universus. Ashes Reborn. And I preorded Star Wars destiny. I don’t like Japanese card games where you take the top 5,7,or 10 cards from your deck and stack them up as Life points. I don’t find those games fun and there’s not enough strategy for me. If I had the money I’d also buy into shadow verse evolve.
