Watch David from Georgia use this efficient, portable, diamond-finding machine he designed and built to find genuine, USA diamonds at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park. He operates and explains it while he has it set up on the North end of the Crater's diamond search field with their iconic, old, Mine Shaft Building in the background. Thank you so much. Yes, I just came across him working in the diamond field. I was impressed with his set up, and asked if I could do a video interview. He's a nice guy and agreed. I was genuinely interested in and impressed with the equipment he made to find diamonds. I appreciate your encouraging comment. Thanks for watching my video.
Who else was expecting him to start a motor?
The site has rules and restrictions, you can’t use motors, only hand power.
@@eugenecbell You are so right. This is a quiet state park. Motors would be noisy and smelly and potentially dangerous. The park has rules for a reason, but it would make the work a lot easier.
@@genuinediamondsinar3253, motors may make the work too easy and the park could be sucked dry of diamonds in just a couple of years and then it would not be fun to look for diamonds anymore.
I thought 'potato sorter'.
Use of a d c motor and 12v battery also prohibited?

@@genuinediamondsinar3253 Yea, but no money...fewer if any adventures. At least with money, you can create as many adventures as you want. So I want to be the guy who sells the shovels.
Id also like to add something. The reality is when you try to go on adventures with little to no money, all you end up with still is little to no money. But...if folks dont mind that reality, then to each his own. Proceed. Just dont expect things to change any time soon.

Simply a hand powered trommel - a common Gold mining tool.
Trommels come in all sizes, from 6" to over 6' in diameter and usually engine powered with pumped water to wash the gravel. The internal helix (an inside-out wood screw looking set of spiral ridges) has to be used because his trommel is set-up on the level -- whereas almost all others are set up with a gentle slope to move the 'oversize' rock through.
I made mine as well. - Joe -
Yes, you are right. This one is ideal for his application because motors are not allowed in this state park where you get to keep all of the diamonds you find.
@Joe S, how do you fabricate the internal helix? And, is there a formula to get the correct pitch? I mean, you don't want the material moving too quickly, or it won't be cleaned well enough before it gets discarded. Thanks!

You need to go up on the top of the hill or in the woods. Behind the building to the south are the old separator wheels, this is where the tailings came from. When we were in he office checking our finds a couple of guys that had been prospecting in he woods came in with some good size finds. We went there to have fun. When NASA decides to start mining the moon they should call this guy.
Yes, but bring your own water.
They said the moon was made of cheese because the Chinese have mined it for so many centuries the moon is a giant sponge now !!!!
Mini g the moon would reek havoc on the earth, they shuld never take any weight from the moon like that eventually shifting how it makes tides and wind and may fall into the earth ir alingshot away
@@FluidMotionEnergy i opened a restaraunt on the moon but it didn't do very well. the customers complained it had no atmosphere.
@@FluidMotionEnergy well I'm sorry to inform you (and I overall agree with you on this) that there are serious talks and preparations being made by different companies/people/governments regarding their plans and intent to begin industrial-scale mining and drilling on the moon. Some preliminary tests shown positive results regarding their ideas of the exact techniques and equipment they are planning to use, as well as actual samples of moon material that suggest there are large deposits of various desirable/useful elements that they hope to be able to mine successfully. They've also been trying to figure out the best (best in their eyes, I'm sure, which means the least expensive) method to safely house and sustain the necessary workers while automating as many systems as they possibly can, to reduce that number of real workers needed. But I think the biggest hurdle/snag they've encountered is deciding what exact person or nation can lay legitimate claim to the mining rights/deeds of a particular plot of lunar land, since it is ON THE MOON after all, as well as deciding who has the authority/right to decide who the person is, that will making those determinations/decisions regarding those "lunar mining rights". It just sounds like a shit show of various governments and big businesses all whining about each other while also trying to bully each other, in essentially a nightmare beurocratic dick-measuring contest, in which everybody ends up pissed off and unhappy at the end lol

I asked an old prospector where is gold in these California hills? He said it's where you find it!
Yep, and you've got to go looking to find it.
There is gold to be found in almost any river in the mountains and at the base of the mountains where the rivers start to slow down and pool at the lower elevations. It's also in the ground if you know what type of rocks and quartz to recognize because the quartz forms with gold veins.
@@13_13k There is gold in every state, but there is hardly any natural gold in Arkansas. There's none worth pursuing. I've tried. You can find gold rings where people kayak and canoe. I've done that. I've done much better with diamonds. I've found 177 at the state park so far. Two of them weighed more than two carats each.
@@genuinediamondsinar3253 ---- that's so cool. It's crazy how gold and diamonds are both not rare, yet with diamonds, their value comes from market manipulation.
De Beers controls the majority of the world's diamonds, except for the Russian mines, so they limit the diamond availability for the higher grades, and the thing about gold is that, even though there is modern gold mining going on, the majority of the gold that is in people's possession, like the gold that kings and queens and countries own, is the same gold, physically the same gold that ancient rulers and royalty owned, that Vikings pillaged, that was used to pay for wars and for marriages, that jewelry and coins were made of that Pirates stole.
It just gets melted down and turned into whatever is the best way to keep it stored. It doesn't rot, it doesn't change with age, it doesn't corrode, or rust or go through any chemical changes like oxidation. It's pretty much the perfect natural product.
All the gold in California is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills under somebody else's name
I have never hunted for diamonds but a little gold and silver in the west. Quite an interesting setup. Thanks.
Diamond hunting at this state park is a great, American adventure. I love it! I have found 177 diamonds at this public park so far where their policy has always been finder's keepers.

I was waiting for the guy to ask him "how you power this baby up" then he started turning it manually 😔😔😔😔
Yes, that's the rules at this state park--no motors of any kind. Everything must be hand operated. And that includes your shovel.
Great stuff !
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Since you liked that hand-operated, diamond-recovery equipment I think you'd enjoy watching this powered system. It is in operation at our private diamond mine just outside of The Crater of Diamonds State Park. We are processing ore from The Worthington Diamond Mine. Funny, I was expected to see some diamonds found......
Time at the park is limited to 8AM to 4PM. We try to wash as much as we can and concentrate the heavies during that time. We take our centers home, let them dry, then look through them. That is when we find the diamonds---not while the meter is running on our time at the park. We can find diamonds inside on a rainy day. That always makes the day brighter when you find them.
Got to Love the American ingenuity an spirit
Yes! You're right!
Smarter not harder with a little ingenuity
You are exactly right about that.
It's against the park rules to use any type of electronic search equipment in the park.
Guess ya gotta build your own manual machine like this guy.
@@ArbitraryLifestyle Exactly! That's why I made the video.
Yes, everything is hand dug, hand washed, and hand sorted. Even with this handicap I have managed to find 177 diamonds at this state park so far. The largest two weighed over two carats each.
@@genuinediamondsinar3253 woah that's awesome!! 🤟🏼
@@ArbitraryLifestyle Thank you for watching my video. I'm glad you like it. I appreciate your encouraging comment.
Cool video. I subscribed. Thank you
Thank you for watching, complimenting my video, and for subscribing. I appreciate the encouragement. This equipment is all hand operated because it is in the state park. We own a diamond pipe just outside the state park and have automated equipment working there to recover diamonds.
Here us a link to a video I think will interest you: ruclips.net/video/vMyCHx2A4Mg/видео.html
Patent that shit dude and make a million.
You are a few centuries behind getting a patent for it. Lol.
Mine the miners
Great invention. Edison would be in awe.
Yeah!
Edison would have his name on the patent, he was a patent pirate.
Ooops. There goes 3 diamonds the size of a marble right out that chute as he's turning. Oh well.
im 100% certain this man goes through his tailings when hes done!
No, diamonds are hydrophobic--they repel water and muddy water. If there was a big diamond, it would be clean and lustrous. It would glow like the sun. He'd see a big diamond for sure and not miss it.
