I do believe Vera is actually laughing with her lines with Lizzie over her being drunk on non alcoholic wine- when her face cracks you can see what Fiona Spence's character was really like and what an actress she is in playing Vera so well- app she had a strong friendship with Sheila Florence who played Lizzie and I think there is a hint of this in this scene..
Meg- what is this all in aid of? Lizzie- this happens to be my birthday party and you're not invited! I particularly liked the line where Lizzie says when Meg is being short with her "have you been taking lessons off vinegar tits?" LOL..
now that they have a social worker what about a doctor? remember that old doc that was supposed to take over, he disappeared after chrissie had her baby
