Most people don’t realize there is actually two “Great White” bands ! This one with whoever the lead singer thinks he is ??🤷♂️🤷♂️ Then the one with Jack Russell, the more known singer of Great White ! Personally , the Jack Russell sounds …well like the Great White of the 80’s .
This is Mitch Malloy. His claim to fame, aside from having been in the country music singer scene at one point, is he once auditioned or was considered for Van Halen. He can sing, but he is not a close match for Great White music. He sings at much lower range than Jack Russell. I think Great White should have looked for a singer in his 20's with the pipes that Jack Russell had in the 80's. Do like Judas Priest did, if they can't have Halford, then find someone who can sing the notes as close to exact as Halford did, and has the stamina of youth for the high range. They found Ripper Owens and it worked. Judas Priest sounded good with Owens, and while much younger than the members of Judas Priest, he developed nicely.
I've been a fan of GW since the early 80s, especially Jack's voice. He was definitely channeling Robert Plant, & using his love of Plant & Zeppelin to continue that sound, & even evolved what Zeppelin started. Now, for context, I haven't listened to much GW in these last 30 years, other than hearing it here & there on the radio. Now, I just started this video, not aware of any break-ups, etc... My first thought?! "Who the F**K are these old chumps!? Lol! I know, I'm in my 50s, so I'm just kidding about the age. BUT DAMN!?! That is NOT Jack! My thoughts after watching for 4 songs?! That singer, ("whoever the hell that is, lol.) Yep, he blows. The whole band reminds me of the old hole in the wall bars I worked in. This is just a broke down, late night bar band. RiP GW... Long live Jack Russel! 🤘😎
I have no clue how people say Jack Russell sounds a lot like his 80s self. He can’t hit his highs anymore, yeah hes still a good singer but hes never gonna sound like he did when he was younger, hes aged a lot since then

saw this lineup of great white. honestly blown away how bored I was watching Mitch. the rest of the band kicked ass but man he was so bland it was like unseasoned boiled chicken
good hell people, jack russell old and falling apart, you just going to abandon the band just because jack russell not there no more? yeah mitch malloy isnt jack russell, but jack russell isnt mitch malloy and mitch i think kills it, lot more energy and sings the songs great, just enjoy the music while its still around
Dude, Jack Russell's GREAT WHITE latest album blows this parallel band clean out of the water by miles. Have you heard it? He may be old, but he's still got the goods, & the writing was the best since their heyday!
Jack is actually YOUNGER than the other members you know! Haha ..also look at Mark Kendall these days! Hes only THREE years older than Jack! Yet he looks like a grandpa now, Nothing at all like how he looked 30+ years ago! That long blonde hair and on stage energy died long ago! He looks so out of place up there amongst the rest of the band. He looks old enough to be the father of the rest of the band honestly! Hahaha
