I truly can’t understand why your channel isn’t bigger. You have some of the best food commentary I have ever heard. You are sharp, witty, and truly hilarious. Are you by chance a writer?
Very kind, thank you! I do love to write, mostly for my own blog but also recreationally on Medium etc!
Avocado "needs its little green hand held" 😆
Uuuuu, crunchy cheese parts on lasagna are my fav 🤩🤩🤩 so fascinating how someone’s gold is someone else’s 💩 😂😂😂. Thanks god we are all different and uniquely amazing 🎉
Yhe ones i agree with:
• Steak
• liquirice
• sushi (fish)
• mushrooms (i dont even like the flavour)
• oysters
• mayonnaise
• peanut butter (british ones)
• pretzels
• tiramisu
• milkshake
Regarding the matcha, I recommend consuming it the way it is traditionally served in Japan. First you eat a small sweet (usually wagashi) before drinking the bitter matcha. The sweetness and the bitterness are balanced this way and I personally find it delightful. I learned this after I started studying tea ceremony.
The hair, though❤
I love mashed potatoes, I don't like gummy candy either.i don't like eggs either.
I definitely fall into the detest camp with the Creme Egg Dominos cookies. I can’t stand fondant, so for me Creme Eggs alone are down right 🤢
First time listening to this podcast! It was fantastic. Thank you Kelly! It was very interesting to find out what others don't like as far as food goes. I was wondering if you have a recipe you could share for Italian wine cookies...the dry kind- Ciambelle al vino I think they are called?
Thanks so much! Sorry, I can't help you there. It's something I've never made before! However, for most Italian recipes, a good go-to site is Giallo Zafferano!
Stuff I despise:
Instant noodles
Anything apricot
Fried fish
Bacon when combined with something else
Strawberry ice cream
Orange and lemon flavoured things
Any white sauce that is not milk based (mayo, tartare, cocktail, french salad dressing...)
Chicory Salad
Fried eggs
Milkshakes
Jalapenos
Beetroot
Most melted cheese
Stuff I can't go without:
Tomatoes (and -sauce)
Chicken
Meat (minced, sausages, skewers)
fresh Milk and chocolate Milk
Pasta (penne)
Carrots
Green Apples
Fries
Oats
Iceberg lettuce
Sandwiches
Zucchetti
Mustard and Ketchup
Cacao powder
Scrambled eggs
Stuff I just don't get the hype aka could do without:
Potatoes in any other form then fries lol
Doner kebab
French Tacos (fries made soggy in a flatbread... like why??)
Softdrinks
Most fruits
Donuts
Avocado
Ravioli
Pizza with thick crust
Garlic
Most chocolate and biscuits
Rice
Haha from that main list of foods I could agree with 99% of them 😅I’m such a fussy eater and I hate oat milk so I’m not fussed if that trend disappears!
Also would gladly eat the crispy cheese bits but when it comes to cake I’m with you I want the moist inside bit
Ohhh, I’m all about crispy cheese bits on things like lasagne 😂 Its actually the only way I like cheese. Gooey anything food-wise is not for me
In terms of things I really dislike that most people love, the joint number one for me would be porridge and runny egg yolks. Also texturally, aubergine and mushrooms.
I don’t do well with any fake flavourings either. The worst for me are banana, cherry and vanilla
I feel you on fake cherry, I can’t handle it either!
@@MaverickBakingit’s too much like medicine
Some review suggestions for you:
Garçoa chocolate, Mataisa Uganda (made in Zurich)
Millésime chocolate équateur noir 100% (made in Belgium)
Latitude craft chocolate vanille sesame 72% (made in the Netherlands)
Åkesson‘s Brazil Forastero cocoa 100% (made in France)
♥️🍫
Thank you!!
I am also not a burger lover and I don't like the crispy bits either! Here's my controversial one, I hate the feeling on my teeth of the underside of certain pizzas. It's like that nails on a chalkboard feeling for me. I love matcha, I make mine with a decent bit of milk, a bit of agave and it's delicious.
You’ve never sounded so Scottish as during your mash rant 😂
Hahahaha it comes out when the emotions are running strong!
The way you feel about Burgers is how I feel about Pizza. It’s not that I hate it but I just don’t ever crave it. Most unexciting food there is for me
If im having the ubiquitous avo toast, i like to add harissa a squeeze of lemon, olive oil and some pumpkin seeds. Creme eggs not for me urgghh.Thank you🙋♂️
You’ve made me want that SO much now hahaha sounds delish
😄🙋♂️@@MaverickBaking
I like a lot of things that were mentioned. But I also wouldn't buy gummy bears for myself and I don't get milkshakes. A lot of calories I guess. I'd rather eat cake instead.
The oat milk thing boggles my mind that it's suddenly being realized as oats + water, in cases sugar and a stabilizer. That's literally what other non dairy alternatives are. Is it just another diet culture narrative to ruin a good thing? I love dairy but oat milk is also delicious.
Tea of any kind is the worst beverage in the world imo. The smell turns my stomach
Oooooh didn’t expect that one!
@@MaverickBakingMy whole (large) family are tea drinkers. I can’t even make a brew for someone else because the smell makes me so nauseous
That artificial almond flavor, yuck ! Even worse (though it's not edible) hand soap, shampoo, shower gel with that almond smell 🤮.
So glad I’m not alone there, and you’re so right, those hand creams with that aroma 🤢
This made me realize why I hate store bought marzipan but loved the one my sister made over Christmas. It didn't have the flavoring and you could actually taste the nuttiness of delicious almond.
@@LisaNovak95yes! Proper marzipan and almond things are fabulous but that fake flavouring is so tragic!
