Hello we have a built in desk in our kitchen with cubbies. So my husband as his cubbies and I have mine. We also have our charging station on the desk. Their are draws for storage like receipts and what ever. When our house was built we didn’t even know about this built in desk. We have a very open concept house so you see this desk. We love it.

QUESTION- In one of your recent videos you arranged your cabinet in your dining room with your entertaining pieces (which are beautiful by the way) but when you are entertaining then what do you do about the empty open shelves? Does it matter that some spots are empty during the evening?
Such a great question and I wish I would have mentioned this in that video so thanks or bringing it up. I would rarely use all of my serving pieces at one time but if there are any missing gaps when I go to entertain I would use that opportunity to add fresh florals or plants OR fun framed messaging to guest. My other thought that I had was to use it to help me entertain such as using one shelf for appetizers or beverages (Or to create a cute little food station). The open shelving really gives me a lot to play with. Hopefully when I get back to entertaining I will be able to share some of the ideas I mentions. Thanks again for the wonderful question Pam!

Hi Sue! Respectfully, I love my new set-up and it is bringing Mike and I so much joy having it! Anyone who knows me, knows that the changes I make in my home (as in most of us) are only for me and my family. We live in our home everyday and love our home and love sharing our home journey with you but please know that I share with you because it gives joy sharing what is going on around my home, but it should never be mistaken for me making changes for any other reason than the love of my home and family and my our desires for how we live. Like I have said for years, your home should grow with you and your current lifestyle. Hugs and Love Nikki

May feel new to anyone who does not live in our home but Mike and I haven't seen that setup for awhile..LOL We transitioned a television in the living room.
