I commend you for recognizing your desire to be a SAHM and working toward making that a reality. I too expressed this with my partner early in our relationship but there wasn't much planning for becoming a one income household. I also believe my husband didn't value it as much as I did which put a strain on our marriage. As a divorced mama of one child I found value in your tips for creating a budget and identifying emotional triggers that lead to overspending. Thanks a lot!

We do this, my wife is a stay at home mom, homeschools, manages the budget, manages the real estate… she does it all. Luckily I have the option to work overtime and get decent bonuses for all the wants and debt payments.
Her credit tip is what we’ve done from day one. Fantastic advice for anyone with self control.
I would say for big wants and purchases make lists separately, and let the kids make a list. For the year. And then combine the lists, where they intersect is where you focus on putting your budget and making it happen.
I guess I should mention we have 8 children and are open to life always. But in that I have been blessed, my grocery bill is about 1500 a month. And we still budget for 2 date nights a month.
People wonder how we do it. This is how. God has blessed us to be able to.

You need to make a guest appearance and teach us how to feed a house of 10. That's wild great job

For that diapers run, you should change to the one your parents and grandparent use yo use baxk in the days, which allows you to just wash and reuse them, and all youd need is 7 or how many you want really. Many people dont understand how expensive diapers really are this can be money use to add to the budget. Growing herbs like garlic, peppers and so on can also save you money.
