  • This has to be one of the nicest 1984-1985 Cadillac Eldorado's I've seen! This one is finished in a very rare color. Also has very rare options. Including the factory moonroof. The Bose sound system and first year offered electronic rear view mirror. This car is totally original and looks to be maybe six months old. I love the 1984-1984 Eldorados! Simply stunning automobiles! This video can also be used as a buyers guide when looking to purchase one as well. I'm very passionate about these cars. If your looking to sell a nice original or simply need help selling one please give me a call. I'm always happy to help and give advice as well. Thank you to all my subscribers and to everyone that's watched my videos!!

Thank you. That was fun. I have an '85 Biarritz in that exact color, not touring suspension. I bought it in '01, with only 47K mi. I've put another 100K on it. No engine troubles, doesn't use a drop of oil. I've kept up repairs, the interior looks like new. The paint is now somewhat tarnished; I'll have to have it renewed. It's the best car I've ever had. I plan to keep it forever.

I've watched a lot of George's videos and he previews many stunning cars BUT this rare Cranberry Red color is just drop dead gorgeous. Until the video, i didn't even know this color was offered. I've seen these in the slightly more common Autumn Maple Firemist Red but NOT Cranberry. What a real treat to watch this video.

Complaints about the HT 4100 are overblown. We had a 1985 convertible that we towed a boat with. Plenty of torque and mid range horsepower. The car is not about performance it’s about cruising in style and luxury and the ride as you know, is heavenly.

The last of the real Eldorados. What came after was pitiful.

This was at the Larz Anderson Automotive Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts. The tan “carriage house” in the background is the main building - lots of 100 year old and even older cars inside.

I think I just drooled on myself! Bumper fillers are what I looked for too. I have an 18,Cadillac in Florida w/ a few more miles than that. Car is about perfect.

This Eldorado had to have been garaged for years to be this pristine, only 27,000 miles, if it's still available, how much? I have an '85 beige Biarritz, they're fun to drive and you'll get a lot of compliments. Most people appreciate older classics. Today's cars look identical, they're basically designed for 30,000 miles before they start falling apart. Modern cars are a joke.

This is an ht4100 don't drive it car. Everybody knows it's the self-destructing engine my friend was a mechanic at a Cadillac dealership he told me of numerous valve covers he removed with handfuls of aluminum filings that the hd4100 was the worst engine ever put in such beautiful cars. The Eldorado we ordered in 1983 cost of whopping $31,000 cuz it was The L4 package everything you could get same as this car he's showing except it doesn't have Vogue to spoke wheels and Vogue Tires but it's got everything else that the car we ordered the white interior with the Autumn Maple fire Mist was truly beautiful color combination very popular with the convertible that came out. If I got a hold of that Cadillac the first thing I do is get a 1979 350 Eldorado engine and switch out the power plant and say let's go driving all the way across America so that thing doesn't have to be in trucks or trailers or could actually cruise on the actual road with it at 3:00 in the morning at night cruising down in interstate and not know oh my God the engine's coming apart it's an ht4100. One time I was on the side of the road walking down the side of the road because of a car that had broken down and I Came Upon a big burn spot on the side of the road and lo and behold I leaned over and guess what I picked up off the ground around the burn spot and ht4100 emblem. So that ought to tell you what eventually happen to so many of those cars that had that engine if they didn't blow oil and cool it mixed together with a aluminum filings under the valve cover they burnt to the ground. Good argument for an engine swap. But for me all my Cadillacs all eight of them were built and produced before the year 1979 the 425 is a great motor. It gets me where I want to go everyday. And only drinks non-ethanol $4 a gallon gasoline.

Cadillac did some internal updates to the HT4100 in early 1984 due to customer complaints. The HT4100 was dramatically better mid-model year 1984 and all of 1985 for reliability. As long as the pellets are added to the cooling system during the coolant change one should have no unusual problems with these years of Eldorado. Of course, they will never be neck snapping performers - but WILL be smooth cruisers.
