Prettiest face, the warmest personality and the biggest love for trains. 😎
That park and the nature reserve were just gorgeous! All that flowing water is fantastic! 😎
Good thing you are ok with early starts! That is an early train!
Thanks
Fantastic blog as ever G nice walk round nice Tamworth cheers for sharing your trip 👍🤗
Thanks Ian!
Love looking around all the places you visit sharing them us, very enjoyable video 👍👍✅✅
Wigan, and Avanti west coast seams to dig out more memories for Me, But Tamworth looks a good place too and Peaceful nature reserve to finish off a great Vlog, Hope your doing well and thanks once again G take care
Tamworth local here… don’t come here… worse then Birmingham and ALOT of crime and sadly deaths
Enjoyed that thanks. I'm recent follower after finding one you did involving my home town of Darwen. Looking forward to more.
Hey there G
I especially enjoy the walks that you do on your travels
Thanks for sharing
Scott on the west coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Scott!
Used to travel down to the Snowdome there to try to learn to ski.
Love your videos.
Cheers!
Thank you for sharing G
Thanks for the video G,a great place to visit, love the nature reserve and the lake. Always love a castle, so impressive Norman architecture!!😎🚆🚆🚆🚆🇬🇧💚
Ye was very pretty there!
We enjoyed that one gloves, many thanks for sharing 👍
Great vlog G! Tamworth is a good area and some nice locations as well
Haha yes good area indeed 😂
I met you at Tamworth Station a few years ago. 🙂 Hope you’re keeping well.
@@weatherfansmichael Yes for the Duchess of Sutherland, I'm good thanks and keeping well
Another great vlog G, your editing skills are exceptional
Thanks!
@@GLovesTrains your welcome
As always a brilliant video G. I am sitting in a hotel in St Johns in Canada waiting until this evening for the flight that will take me to Gatwick and from there to home. Your film cheered me up as always!
Amazing hope you enjoyed your flight back!
My visits to Tamworth are usually mad sprints from High Level to Low Level or vice versa due to very tight connection times!
Getting a train and exploring a town and its parks, all before breakfast! That's the way to do it.
Great video G. Nice to see a class 390, nice location as well
Thanks Charlie 😀
@@GLovesTrains 😁😁😁
I remember going to Tamworth Castle as a tiny, many years ago. The only thing that sticks in my mind was the kiddies playground & running in front of the swings. I ended up a few feet away from my original position 🤕
Awesome Video G Loves Trains 😄😄
Love the vlogs where you are walking by flowing water. Tamworth park looked really smart . Thanks for posting.
Haha thanks!
One thing I didn't realise until after I watched this video is that there are seven nature reserves in and around Tamworth.
The only one I had heard of before was Pooley Park Nature Reserve (next to the West Coast Main Line south of Tamworth), but that is only because I had walked there a few times in the past to photograph trains
Seven?! This calls for exploring tamworth by nature reserve!
i used Tamworth back in 2022 when i was travelling to Birmingham from the South & i like Tamworth station & Tamworth town looks like a lovely town to visit & the castle & nature reserve looks amazing & next time i do a week in the Midlands again i def want to visit Tamworth & the castle brilliant vlog
Amazing thanks Michael!
Great vlog G nice to see tamworth again i haven't visited there for a very long time
Thanks Stuart!
Another fantastic vlog G & loved your T shirt as well as the music and if you return to Scotland how about the knickers song in Gaelic🌲
Haha maybe one day 😂
Great video G ... would you consider making a trip from Birmingham to Scarborough thinking of taking the family there for holiday a bit of a guide would be very appreciated.
Look forward to more of your streams.
Was in that area a bit last year so might be a lil while til I get back there 😂
Thank you so much for your reply keep up the good work in making these fantastic videos for us all to watch and for some bringing back memories.
Stay safe 🙏 look forward to a Scarborough trip when possible.
Brilliant video G, I've been to Tamworth a few times myself, it's a lovely place. I even visited the castle and went inside in 2018. :)
Nice one!
Long time since I was in Wallgate that early
Lots of water today, and a nice quiet morning sounds peaceful 😊
Haha love water!
Tamworth rail station has a similar layout to Retford on the East Coast Mainline.
Tamworth - birthplace of the (in)famous Reliant Robin! Did I spy a Pacer out of the train window on the way there? What an attractive place - I never knew it had a castle, and the surrounding park is lovely..
I had 2 reliant Robins, great fun lol
Many years ago I used to drive along the A5 through Tamworth quite frequently. The A5 was re-routed over 20 years ago, but the old route used to pass right outside the Reliant factory at Two Gates. The site of the factory is now a housing estate, which rather appropriately includes a Robin Close.
@@sydnorth5868 That's interesting to read. A colleague of my father's used to own a Reliant Kitten - my dad got a lift in it once and said it was the noisiest car he'd ever been in.
Yes that orange pacer i was entranced by it myself!
@@GLovesTrains Looks like it was painted in original colours from around the time it went into service back in the late 80's.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot!!
Great video G, nice nature reserves and a great bit of flowing water! :)
Cheers!
Great vid g
Cheers!
Cracking ride out, shame about the weather but cool for walking 🚶♂️
Great Vlog, G! I knew Avanti stopped at Tamworth on a limited basis, and I think they do go by Northampton as well on a limited basis. The final part I have to do on the WCML!
Hopefully I get to cover it soon!
Ya know I can't think where Northampton is 😂
@@GLovesTrains South of Rugby and North of Milton Keynes of a different junction.
@@ReecesTrains yep 9M62 the late Edinburgh London calls through there. Did it Friday night just gone. Feels unusual dividing away from the WCML on a pendo lol
@@luketrainspotteryt2007 I'll just wait for a diversion to ever come up via Northamption and then I'll take it!😂
@@ReecesTrains 🤣 🤣 haha fair!
Hopefully soon so you can tick it off! :)
Sounded like you called Warrington a rude name there 😂 great video as usual!
Haha 😄
Just found your channel. Love it , doing some serious catch up. Do you travel commando or have you spares for you head God. you're funny. Keep up the good work .Cheers good work
Thanks lol!
I have often seen them flying through Tamworth station, but I didn't know any of them stopped there.
There's a couple on the.. Liverpool route i think as well
7:07 Ah good old Ventura Park, where all of the big shops are and not in the town centre
Haha! There was a greggs in the centre 👍
you seem to like your early mornings, well it is work but not as we know it ... wonder how you wil feel about 5 something mornings when we get to November!!
I have fond memories of visiting Wigan as I stayed nearby in May 2023, used it as a base to tour around, including visiting Manchester, North Yorkshire and by train to Liverpool for Eurovision. Didn't see much of Wigan itself, not sure if I missed anything!
5:52 Oh No! Squishy Babies Again
Bad memories of Tamworth. I was accosted for nothing more than my Scots accent. Found refuge in the local Caledonian Society only to find I was the only Scot there. Never goin' back.
Great vlog G. It is handy the places that Avanti West Coast serve, I have been to Tamworth loads and I’ve been inside the castle too. Shame Avanti only serves Tamworth at peak times though I think thry would serve it more but it’s just because there’s no platforms on the fast lines like at Nuneaton for example.
Cheers Sam! I haven't been to Nuneaton yet 😂
@@GLovesTrains your not missing much
I live in Tamworth. Wouldn’t be surprised if I walked by one of your shots as I’m on my way to work around that time. 🙂
Another great video g loves trains,
Cheers!
Nice video G.
Cheers!
Well in G
I have heart that Tamworth is a very nice place to visit and I would like to go there. Have you seen the new Avanti West Coast Class 805 Evero that they are so amazing and the Class 807 are due to enter service sometime next year.
Yes did ride a 805
Hi G, not sure what RUclips is up to! just spotted this new video
I find it always interesting to find quirky/rare services that call at unusual stops 🙂
Ye they're fun aren't they!
When the train services contacts have finished and go back to the government have to see if these services have improved or not omg that train is on time it’s not been cancelled
when G ends up by flowing water at 8am you know shes about to have a great day!! :D
Haha! Plans went a bit melons up afterwards 😂
Interesting, I didn't know there was so much to Tamworth.
Should have visited spudman while you were there.😀
4:26, that’s funny 🤣, there’s one of those in Stoke.
Hi g lovely video im subscribed too 😄 always bad having to wake up super early 😔
I like getting up early 😀
@@GLovesTrains aahh it's because I always wake up late in holidays
The prices are astranomical compared to travel abroad. Puts me and i,m sure thousands off exploring the UK more. Best wishes G x
Cheers, and ye it can be a bit pricey sometimes.. but there are some places like south Wales with cheaper fares!
was in Tamworth - well the M42 Tamworth services last Sunday and will be there this coming Sunday - reason? When travelling from home to Bournemouth a distance of 320 miles Tamworth is 160 miles into the journey - exactly half way
Another nice down-to-earth video G 😊 I was trying to think of a route in the NW that you haven't done yet but I don't think there are any?
There is one bit of a line I can think of that I still need a trip along!
I was literally at tamworth last week for a light steam loco movement
Cool!
I've only ever been to Tamworth once, to the Services KFC 😂😂😂. I'm glad you've done this video though as you've shown that Tamworth is definitely more than a Motorway service station.
Haha its really pretty there!
I noticed that you say “THE Wigan”. When I look up Wigan it’s just “Wigan” everywhere. Is this a local way of adding “the” to name? Even Train Sim World/Dovetail communication manager Harry (Harriet) who lives there only said “Wigan” at a stream yesterday. Bye the way, I’m Swedish, nerding into English dialects and your accent is nice. Hence my curiosity. And I don’t have to explore Britain. I just watch your videos. “Hej då!” (Baysiebays)
Drayton Manor themepark just down the road😅
My word you do get about G
Please tell me you went to visit The Spudman? Xx 😋
Got fed jacket potatoes nearly every day at work last year.. still need get back into them! 😂
@@GLovesTrains You would not have been disappointed with Spudman. He might have given you a free one. Xx 😂 😋🥔
Avanti West Coast Class 390
Did i clock a orange class 142 going past your pendilino just after Warrington?
Just after Crewe ye
When did you take this journey I saw this service last Saturday at Lichfield Trent Valley
Couple weeks ago
She is so pretty! ❤
Azul he
I assume you didn't see a Tamworth pig.
Next time you wear a jump and find it too hot take it off and it in your batpack because that what I would do
Do you like the front of your neck tickled when on the train I find it relaxing
