  • @kodyepidemic

    Real Metalheads are accepting of any kind of music that is heavy and that has attitude. For example, total hardcore nigga rap, edm, and metal. I'm accepting of anything that is super heavy and has some form of art, not some glittery Chapstick lovey dovey bullshit. This is awesome.

      Dubstep is an off shoot of dub and two step, both of which fall under the wider definition of techno music, therefore dubstep is a type of techno, just like metal is a type of rock and roll.

    • @BFKAnthony817
      @BFKAnthony817 10 лет назад +10

      I disagree. I am an 80's baby. I am 30 years old, and grew up with both Metal and Electronic beats as I am a devout gamer. I think they meld quite nicely together. They are harsh sounds, that is what they are. It sounds sick. Sorry you don't agree bro. I agree the originals are classics, but I think remixing genres brings the classics into the future in the modern era.
      Besides, I loved Industrial music in the 90's, and that sub-genre of Rock has a shit-ton of electronic sounds in it, as does Pink Floyd music, so I would say electronic sounds and Rock go back as far as the late 60's. This is just modern realization.

    Idk... Ive done just audio work in general... you know... you tube, voice acting, stuff... ive had to snip certain things musically. THAT stuff (Basic stuff) even takes a shit ton of time. Remixing an entire song? Dude that would take alot of time.
    (Oh and to answer your last question...there are some dubstep apps.... but nothing actually worthwhile... like.... generic shitty preset stuff (Like any "Make your Own *Genre* Song!" app)

    I can also remix a song with a bunch of annoying effects...all I need a computer and a good program and skills to use it..do you know what it takes to get all these? money and time...do you know what is takes to create a metal song? intelligence,heart,talent and much more...I cannot create a metal song..but I can create an electronic song that is based on a metal song, and you know how? with time,money,pc thats what is takes..and 10% talent..so stop comparing metal with dubstep

  • @KaiStown

    I don't want to sound closed minded but I don't really like this much. I am a fan of both Metallica and Dubstep. Not to say that it is bad, I'm just not a huge fan of it. Having said that, this is a great collaboration of the old (hard rock) and the new (dubstep) styles. Also a slight reality check to all of those who think this kind of thing is shameful, take a look around. This is the dubstep era now. You want old style fast pick and gravelly vocals in new music go listen to Avenged Sevenfold.

    ok, I like dubstep, I was looking for dubstep remixes of popular songs (because dubstep actually makes them better) when I got here... but this is just plain WRONG! how do I explain this... I like memes, because they make shitty pictures funny, but I wouldn't take the Mona Lisa and write "I don't always smile... but when I do, nobody gets it" on her, it will be funny but just... WRONG!

    It has nothing to do with the variety of music that I listen too. I am mortally disturbed that this guy would disgrace the greatness of the best metal band in history (my opinion) with this dubstep garbage. I was mortified when I searched "dubstep metallica" and saw this disgrace. I respect people listening too their music, but when you have to steal from other artist, and different genres to be good, its just sad. Metal > Dubstep

    Social superiors? Like popularity makes someone better? I'm weird, and a geek but i'm proud, the geeks run this world, I have a show on Television, what can you say? "i was popular in high school". I was actually referred here by a friend, i thought it'd be interesting but is just SO derivative. sounds like every other Brostep remix: it's the original song, and they just add that horrible sound over top of the original track ruining it. I like some dubstep but brostep i can't stand...

  • @Toastundead
    @Toastundead 12 лет назад

    Alright. I respect your education. I agree with the lack of instruments and notes and what not. I can see where you are coming from, and in a sense you are right. But from an open minded standpoint(I am not trying to call you close minded) music can be anything. The explosion of fireworks the symphony of the pyrotechnic. The roaring engine a serenade to a car fanatic. The drone of a torch a ditty to the welder. The songs of birds to an old lady. Music is what you let it be. In my opinion anyways

  • @kyussfan6
    @kyussfan6 12 лет назад

    It's noise. There are no music notes, staffs, key sig, bars or anything I was taught in music theory. There are no musical instruments in it. I don't like Justin Bieber but I call him music. This no guitar, drums (the beat is samples off a website or a drum machine), no bass either from a bass guitar or any bass making instrument no flute no voice, you understand. It is a $500 program on a MacBook you can but at any Best Buy.

    You know what? I agree with you. Adding some taste of the modern world into the original music in which shaped the concept of it will make people wonder "I wonder if the original stuff sounded this great." and they might like it. Also, thanks for also being intelligent as well. When I apologize to some people, they start another argument. But thanks for your opinion as well. I grew up a Metallica fan.
    Hail Metallica and Dubstep!

  • @TheCanadianC7A1

    I apologize. I am just making my opinion clear. I know people disagree with me but it just don't sound right to me because of the idea of putting a not so bad kind of beat into a great piece of classic metal like seek and destroy together. It just does not sound right to me. Again I apologize for my actions. Just making my opinion clear. One more thing. If you're trying to make "you are" short, it's "you're", not "your".

  • @burgrman

    You have to understand something kiddo. Alot of us love and grew up on Metallica. Some of us even love dubstep. BUT - If you are going to take on Metallica in a remix, you have to come bring the fire. This is alright but it could hit soooooo much harder! - you know... Metallica style. Even Korn's remixes rock much harder than this. I'm not exactly taking a nap through it but I'm not that pumped either.

  • @rodcre8s

    well said...very...well said. How dumb do you have to be to go to a video...that clearly states "dubstep Remix" and clearly states who the band is (did I mention it was Metallica... Hmmm, what rock are you under if you don't know who they are), then complain about how you don't like dubstep music, and/or you don't think metal and dubstep don't mix. Humanity is doomed... these people have the ability to breed...

    @GiantDanish Perhaps if you look at the original comment that started this you can see what i mean. Try not to twist your mind too much when you realize im being sarcastic. The original comment was that all dubstep sounds the same. My reply was that if you have a closed mind about it, everything sounds the same. Now I'm sorry I struck a child-nerve with you over it by using metal as my topic relation, but perhaps you can look at it with an open mind and stop being so arrogant about it.

  • @XKTMRiderX
    @XKTMRiderX 12 лет назад

    IDK bud........I'm not to impressed with this one...it feels like you lost the feel of the song, this is not the way mettallica would -Dub you should try more to enhance the existing song and stay closer to the original feel of the song-it kinda seems like seek and destroy is in the background and you are doing your own thing, it doesn't mesh it feels like two different songs played at the same time. I like the dudstep stuff in the song, it just doesn't really like to be in the song......

  • @KhaosAfreet
    @KhaosAfreet 12 лет назад

    @guitarhero08ful That can be said of most music made in the last 30 years. NIN copying godsmack (or vise-versa) All of metal is copying black sabbath. Even lady gaga made a song that was IDENTICAL to a maddona song. At least we admit that the music inspired us to listen to it in a different way. Saying you dont like the genre as a whole is like saying you dont like cake after trying only one kind. P.S.... try an original dubstep song instead of a remix, maybe that will suit you more

    "the times they are a changing". Metal, in its purist "Phorm" kicks ass. But, after awhile if nothing new is added it does get lame. Sadly just like my late 70's Rock. Don't forget a lot of Metal came from Hard Rock, which came from the 60's psychedelic / Acid Movement, which came from... Closing argument: keep on reaching to new ground. and rock on!

    my opinion is, this could have been remixed better as in a better style dubstep... Bassnectar really isn't the best example of a Dubstep produce out there IMO.... this isn't bad but he's completley ignored the style of the original song and I think using the original style mixed in with the dubstep would of made it work so well.

    Oooooh lets come onto a video to moan at music, you dont like because your life is so crap and moaning is the only way people listen to you!! Im glad the world does not listen to the same music imagine how boring that would be! GROW UP!! All music is good, just not to everyones tastes... EVEN JUSTIN BEIBER.. well no...

    Very nice mix. I'm impressed by the weaving together of guitar riffs and the remixed beat.
    All of the Metallica fans want to whine and act like Metallica is sacrosanct as it was performed originally. That just doesn't make much sense seeings how Metallica themselves have branched out and done some unique shit with their own music, orchestra anyone?

    close minded? ive honestly given dub-step a try and over and over it sounds worse and worse nd if u claim to be a metallica fan idk how u dont take offence to this its not music its computer generated sounds nd if they worshipped metallica they should of had enough respect to not fuck it up with tht shitty genre im not a troll im just pissed!!

    So you know cliff personally? I think he'd be open to this..... BECAUSE dubstep bass drops fall right in line with heavy metal. This particular mix isnt the greatest but it is cool enough. I think He might actually enjoy it..... He might even think... Why didn't I think of that. Stay open to ideas the same way a true artist like Cliff surely would.

    @jakegill17 i agree, i love metallica to death, but i like other music, and i thought this song was pretty sick, but i dislike how they chopped it up, in my opinion they should play the song how it goes and put their dubstep in... kinda like how klaypex does their songs... if you havent heard id recommend e.t. it showcases exactly what im saying here... but still. good song

    @soadfan133 if you don't like it, don't listen to it... I think remixes and covers are very cuwl no matter what style they are. why? 'cause people are experimenting with a song, and it's cool to hear something in a very different style, no matter if it's good or not.
    also... what's the point of a remix when you don't change the song? >.

    Ha, got me beat by 1 year, feel the same way- I do not just identify with my latter high school years for music and try to be progressive. Korn did a song of late called "Get Up" and the purist of the music griped about it, I like METALSTEP and all sorts of genre

    Is there a chance that they could release that kind of info. I think you would have to be inside the company or have several connections to get that song though. My hopes are down the drain by now. Maybe I could find another similar song and listen vicariously(?) through that one:((

    yeah, it's not the best song I've heard and the original is way better. But I do like to check out people's different styles and their contribution to music in general. I think it's fun to check out different styles and takes on songs. Maybe one of these days I'll try and make something of my own...

    @GiantDanish Hmm, you destroyed your own comment by admitting that they were all influenced by Black Sabbath, yet then you say they arent copying them. How small the difference it is to be "influenced" rather than just admitting to yourself that you made the music because of another bands success.

    I used to enjoy dubstep when it just came out. It was dark, filthy and people hated it. Then the local alphas decided to like it, and it became commercialized, every second bitch was jumping on dubstep and I came to hate it. Now, this is totally different, far from the commercial wobbles.

    You're ignorant because you think all metal is the same, and you think that everyone listens to it for the same reason. I never said it wasn't true that metal fans dislike it, or that people who enjoy any music liked it. That's probably true.

    This is like watching thick syrup being poured over a porcelain sculpture. It's like inhaling the air an inch above the amplifier. It's like an earful of warm quicksilver...
    Interesting when people play with each other's stuff.

    If this is not music, then what is it? I may not be the biggest dubstep fan, that doesn't mean it`s not music. I hate country but it`s music. Being a huge metallica fan I do quite enjoy this bit of hardcore filthy dirty computer sex.

    triple pointlessness is hating on those who hate on haters, and then in your next line hating on haters....lmao..but good point none the less.. Music is made to enjoy, if you dont enjoy feel free to search something you do - music is LIFE.

    @ClikeWorks Haze has a good point it does take skill, so does guitar. This song basically trys to bring both worlds togther. It sounds pree rad aswell. But this could all have been avouded if redl3ss hadent hated on dubstep in the first place.
