Heavenly Father, through the intercession of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we humbly come before you with a prayer for the conversion of the Jewish people. We acknowledge the significance of your chosen people throughout history and pray that they may come to know and accept Jesus as their Messiah and Savior.
Lord, we lift up the words of St. Paul, who wrote in Romans 10:12-13, "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" May the Jewish community embrace this promise and find salvation through the name of Jesus Christ.
We also recall the teachings of Jesus in John 14:6, where He proclaimed, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." May the Jewish people recognize Jesus as the ultimate path to reconciliation with the Father and find true life in Him.
Lord, as we pray for the conversion of the Jews, we remember your covenant with Abraham, as stated in Genesis 17:7, "And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant." May this everlasting covenant lead the Jewish people to discover the fulfillment of that promise in Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of all prophecies.
In your infinite mercy, Lord, we pray that the hearts of the Jewish people may be open to receiving the grace and love of Jesus. Help them see the profound connections between their rich heritage and the teachings of Christ.
We also ask for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who herself was a Jewish woman. May she be a guiding light, leading her people to her Son, Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we entrust this prayer to your loving hands, knowing that your will is beyond our understanding. We pray for unity and understanding among all your children, that one day, all may come to know the truth and embrace the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We make this prayer in His holy name. Amen.

In this video and all his others Father conveys that a return to the traditional liturgy is a precondition for the end of these confusing times. But that begs the question: What caused the deviation from the traditional liturgy? If it was caused by errors committed by the church then wouldn’t those errors have to be corrected or atoned before we can return to the traditional liturgy? If it was caused by some external force then these liturgical changes are purely circumstantial, which is impossible given that the church is guided by the Holy Ghost. By errors I mean saying mass sloppily, working on the sabbath, saying the Lords name in vain, immodest dress, etc. these are all things that our Lady admonished us for during her recent appreciations.

    • @dlw3425
      @dlw3425 9 месяцев назад

Good question. I'm also curious about other liturgies and where they fit in. The Eastern Catholic Church uses the Divine Liturgy of John Chrysostom. There seems to be a disconnect between the western Catholic and eastern Catholic although both are under the pope. Western Catholics don't seem aware of the eastern Liturgy or the fact that they have differences in how they interpret scripture.

The Church still prays liturgically for the conversion of the Jews, and multiple times during the year, not just once, at Good Friday. There are multiple intercessions for their conversion in the Novus Order Hours of Prayer, which are obligatory on all priests of the Roman Rite, many brothers, nuns, and sisters, and are prayed by many laypeople. So the Church prays much more often for the conversion of the Jews than ot used to.

Father, could you write a text or video about scrupulosity, obsessive-compulsive thoughts, and the sacrament of confession?
For the past 2 years, I've been confessing things from my past non-stop, week after week (not an exaggeration), with numerous general confessions (more than 6) with different priests. Even when I finally find peace and feel like my mind is starting fresh, I end up filling pages again with new things I believe I should confess, but they are related to the same topics I've already confessed. Sometimes, they are things I've already mentioned but now consider more serious, or things I'm not sure if I've confessed before, leading to thoughts that invalidate everything and make me feel like I have to start all over again. It's a mix of thoughts. I've already been to a psychologist and a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with OCD. My spiritual director advised me not to mention anything from the past anymore, only present sins. I started following this advice just this week, but I keep having doubts if I'm doing the right thing. I wonder if keeping silent in these cases of mental illness goes against what was said in the Council of Trent (integrity in confession) or if it falls under a case of moral or physical impossibility. I'm in doubt if the only solution is to obey and keep silent (because confessing the past seems like a never-ending loop; the psychiatrist told me that obsession feeds on that) or if I must examine my conscience and confess what can't be changed by Divine law (a position mentioned to me by a priest once, although he probably didn't realize it was an obsessive case).
How is Divine law and the integrity of confession, as referred to in the Council of Trent, interpreted in these cases? What are the obedience, power, and limits of the confessor? I read that in these cases silence can be ordered and the past remains indirectly confessed, is this right?
"Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me." Luke 10:16
I would be very grateful if you could make a video on this topic, God willing. It's like a mental torture to go through this.
I have a big problem. I do not know if when I die, God will hold me accountable for not obeying and if this is the only solution or if I failed to obey such a mandate from the Confessor.
Greetings, and may God and Mary bless you!

The way I understand it: everything in the OT ("the Law, Prophets and Psalms") is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. That includes Jesus in Himself, as Head, and also in His members (the baptised), His Body. And therefore some prophecies and prefigurations of the OT speak not only to Jesus' time walking on earth, but also to the last days, the end of history. For example, there is much in the OT about the antichrist and Our Lady defeating him (in Christ, in His members). Also the Church Fathers understand, for example, Daniel and Malachi, to be speaking about the very last days, just before Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead.
Let me know if you have a better way to explain it, or if I am mistaken here. God bless!

It explicitly applies to “the last days”.
Also, Hosea prophesies mostly concern not Judah, but the northern tribes of Israel, who after his prophecy were dragged off into the Assyrian exile and did not return (as Judah did after the Babylonian). It is yet to happen. I explain more fully in the book, but prophecies are often multivalent, so that earlier fulfillments become pledges of greater fulfillments yet to come. God bless.

@@KenDelloSandro7565 Thanks, that's what I figured. The St. Andrews is an update of the Lefebvre Missal which prior to 1937 retained the traditional translation "perfidious". When shopping for old copies I found both the revision and the Lasance NEW Roman Missal first appeared in 1937, same year as an encyclical that seemed to be written by the ADL. I am sure none of this is timing with the success of the lobbyists is coincidence. At least there is a lovely PDF facsimile online of the 1926 Lefebvre, but I'd wager no mainstream publisher has the guts to reprint it. Loreto is the only one I know of that has printed uncensored Catholic classics like the Lives of the Saints 1833 ed ,or the 1859 Haydock Bible. At least Father Mawdsley has reprinted the prayer correctly in his prayer card. There are also reprints of the 1926 /27 Holy Week by Abbott Cabrol.

The St Andrew's Missal is about the best I have come across, but the one I have uses "faithless".
Although it is important to have good translations, I think this illustrates one of the many reasons it is so important to retain Latin for the liturgy. Because as long as the priest gets on with it using the immemorial rites, and in Latin, then everyone can be sure it is sound. If there are differences in translation in people's hand missals, that can be debated and discussed at a 'low temperature'. It might change over the years, but it will have to remain anchored in the Latin, and cannot stray too far from it. People can debate the meanings of the prayers, and different translations will bring out different nuances. However, if anyone were to change the Latin, or if the priest were not to use it, then that will definitely impose limited, narrow and / or fashionable opinions on the liturgy. This is lamentable and dangerous.
The "perfidis" and "perfidiam" of the ancient prayer, given their context amid the other Good Friday intercessions and the whole Solemn Liturgy that day, indicate something stronger than "faithless". It was an act of treason to have the King killed, and such an act of treachery, being traitorous, is evidently well translated as "perfidious". But that is so difficult to say nowadays, then many will water down the translation. That is bad enough, but when the liturgical prayer itself is watered down, then the hierarchy is following the perfidy, preferring Caesar to Christ. It is very dangerous. It is vital to restore the '54.
      God bless.

@@commissary4196 Why double down on defending the clever lies of the establishment? Whether I used the word modernist loosely is beside the point. The lobbyists and false conversos had been pushing for the falsification of the translation for ages, and first got their way with removing the word perfidis completely in the Mathews Missal in 1908. Then in 1937 both The St. Andrew and Lasance Missal falsified the translation to unfaithful. Even modern Latin dictionaries online still correctly translate the word perfidis as perfidious. The timing of the 1937 changes fit with the worldly powers pressuring the church to make a statement condemning Germany. This was clearly not the church realizing after 1,000 years that perfis suddenly had a different meaning. Even the 1811/59 Haydock Bible repeatedly uses the word perfidious when talking about the group in question. Clearly a nod to the proper traditional understanding of the prayer translation.

Regarding Father Mawdsley's warning about omitting this prayer, saying, "it will be hell on earth." While that is obviously coming about, I don't agree that that is the ultimate consequence. The ultimate consequence comes from Ezekiel 3:18
"Si, dicente me ad impium: Morte morieris, non annuntiaveris ei, neque locutus fueris ut avertatur a via sua impia et vivat, ipse impius in iniquitate sua morietur, sanguinem autem ejus de manu tua requiram."
[When I say to the wicked, you shall die the death; and if you do not make it known to him, nor speak to turn him from his wicked way while he still lives, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.]
It is binding upon mortal sin that we do this sacred duty. These are God's chosen people, and unless we perform the duty we were ordained by God to do cf. Romans 11:11, then their blood, like Abel's, will cry out from the earth.
[Romans 11:11 I say then, have they - the Jews - so stumbled that they should fall? God forbid. But by their offense, salvation is come to the Gentiles, that they - the Jews - may be emulous of them - the Gentiles.]

    • @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM
      @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM  Год назад +2

You are correct that following Ezek 3:18 is required. But from where will the courage come? Where the understanding and prudence? Grace. And the highest source of this is the Sacraments, and more broadly the sacred liturgy. If we will not honour God worthily, as best we can, and put Him first, then will not receive the graces necessary for the ultimate struggle. Praying the Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews is the element of the liturgy that has been most under attack, that has seen the most changes, dramatically weakened because the hierarchy fears man more than it fears God, desires favour with the world more than the conversion of the world. If the Vatican is so ashamed of the truths of the Gospel that it attempts to forbid them being uttered in Latin inside Churches, then where will it find the zeal for the Lord to preach boldly from the housetops to the world?
So I agree with you that clarity about sin and death is required. But I believe the liturgy is the chief source for the required graces, both for Catholics and for those for whom we pray. Again, the liturgy is not everything, so much more is required. But our worship of God is the beginning and end of everything, therefore it is on the frontline of the battle.
      God bless.

@@ScriptureandTraditionFrJM The invented rabbinic Noahide religion and laws claim that Christ is the idol and the "xians" as they call us are the "idolaters" and fit to be beheaded unless they repent of thier Jesus "idol" and turn to monotheism and worship thier Hashem GD alone. Under Noahide law, Muslims are already deemed Noahides because they claim to follow Allah alone.
It is very ironic that the Jews accuse Christians of following a mere "man" when they themselves claim to follow Moses, and also the Muslims follow thier "prophet", Muhammed.
So when Muslims are killing Christians in the middle east , they are simply unwittingly doing the bidding of those who invented the Noahide antichrist religion for all gentiles . This blasphemous religion that equates Christianity with idolatry gave the Talmudists complete jurisdiction over not only thier own dupes, but made themselves lords over the gentiles.
