     Conquer American mountains as you haul incredible tonnage with the workhorses of industry, get the British capital’s commuters to work in record time and race state-to-state aboard German high-speed traction. Play your own way with creative tools. Master the machine with Train Sim World 3.
    RAW POWER
    Haul hundreds of containers through California deserts and mountains with the ES44C4, a 4400-horsepower beast dressed in bold BNSF livery. Experience the thrill of 280 km/h in the ICE 1, Germany’s first true high-speed train, as you cut through the Hesse and Bavaria countryside. EXTREME WEATHER
     New volumetric skies bring a transformed atmosphere to routes, clouds roam free at altitude, casting shadows on the ground. Lightning dances among intense storms, the roar of thunder competing with the hefty sound of machinery. Feel total immersion as the turbulence of wind physics hammers the side of your train. Learn the art of defensive driving and remain in control.

    You are losing pressure quickly because you are putting the regulator on full while your reverser is still on or around 75. You need to keep your regulator around 20-50 past 10 mph and gradually put your reverser down to 25. Hopefully then you won’t lose as much pressure as quickly 😄

      @zedgie68 2 года назад

      Hi Duckington, so you're basically saying that keep the regulator low on move the reverser more to gather speed?. Sorry I'm new to tsw.

    • @duckington6022
      @duckington6022 2 года назад

      @@zedgie68 Hi Zedgie, you keep the regulator low after around 10 mph but obviously depending on the gradient. You lower the reverser gradually to 25 which allows steam to be used for efficiently so you don’t lose as much pressure.

      @MozzaBurger88 2 года назад +1

      The reverser controls how long the intake is open to allow steam inside the engine on each piston stroke. If you leave it fully forward you allow a high volume of high pressure steam inside which is mostly wasted in the smoke stack. If you're not pulling out from a stop or climbing a steep grade, you should bring the reverser back very close to neutral to allow short bursts to be fed inside the engine which fully expand and exhaust with minimal pressure left to conserve steam (and coal and so on). Conversely the throttle/regulator should be getting closer to 100%. It all *ahem* boils down to thermodynamics and requires some finesse.
      Basically : pulling hard from a stop = 100% reverser, throttle as required. As you get up to speed : bring the reverser closer to neutral and increase throttle as needed. Cruising : minimal reverser, maximum throttle.
      That is if they simulated that stuff properly.

      I think they need to retrain the fireman. So much blowing off and bad timing on the firing. I expect to it's hard to get every detail true to life.....

      @@zedgie68 Basically you wouldn't drive your car in 1st gear all the time, but you might have your foot down on the gas in 5th gear.

    You can have have the regulator wide open, but you need to bring the reverser right back as far as you can.

    if there was ever anything else like the diesel legends then it could be a class 411 emu for this route.

  • @richardjayroe8922
    @richardjayroe8922 2 года назад +2

    Meggasim it is that you never coasted the train on any level track, and you need to manage the reverser, gradually bringing it down to 25 percent

      Yeah, watching those simmers reminds me that actual train driving (especially older technologies) isn't something you pick up just like that :)

    I’ve been having issues with SOS, I can’t get above 30 and I’ve done everything right, even gone back and don’t the tutorial again to just double check? I’m just putting it down to a potential bug?

    Anyone know why there is no option to save a route and continue it from where you left off like on tsw 2 or is there and I'm just stupid?

    • @joshrickwood2149
      @joshrickwood2149 2 года назад

      Yeah, they’ve temporarily taken it away to fix it, whenever you would save then come back to it, ai services could mess up and signals could get stuck, it happened a lot on the bml, so they said they’re disabling it until they fix it

      It's still early access and DLC for ps4 isn't coming all together anymore anyway

    • @ljts7587
      @ljts7587 2 года назад

      It is will arrive on PS4 like DTG have said it’s just taking time between DTG and Sony and will be fully available on the 6th. The release date. I have it TSW2 and I get it for free technically because I already own it but it’s a DLC so I have to wait. The faversham route download with TSW3 on early access because it’s extended within the new game so that’s why it’s available if you have already purchased it on TSW2 or in the New TSW3 game but you have to pay for that obviously if haven’t already owned it. Because it’s 24.99 for spirit of steam for TSW2 but for 50 quid you get a completely new game in TSW3 with you could break down by saying 4 DLCs and have noticed others trains that on there own in TSW2 would be 10 quid so you do get new stuff for not a lot of cash to be fair. Well worth the money.
