Because I'm a freakin' genius and DEFINITELY NOT because I'm an over-tired idiot who's probably been pushing it a bit too hard to put out more videos, I forgot to talk about how the console performed. It's an okay console with good passives on it. The kinetic damage the click does was hardly much, though I wonder if that would do better on an actual kinetic build. The click still isn't bad thanks to the fact that is debuffs damage res and can disable shields, could be good for a support build thanks to that, but also still good on a normal dps build as well. Good midrange console, useful if you don't have some of the expensive, high-end, single-character unlock stuff (like Bioneural or Tachyokinetic). I don't think it's something that'll shake up the meta, but it's definitely going to be useful on my alt toon that I don't feel like spending a lot of lobi on.
I got me the fleet Soyuz and gotta say, i really like it! It's an uncomplicated ship to build and fly with many options and feels like a more rugged raider. And don't forget about the tremendous space barbie options! This may well be one of the most versatile DEW platforms in the game.
Don't undersell the Bozeman console! I discovered today that it scales with drain. That means you have a 45 seconds lasting AoE shield offline on critical hit on an unlimited number of enemies. At 600 drain the shields of all hit enemies inside the net go offline for roughly 13 seconds. And you can do that over and over and over as that net lasts forever. Combined with a grav well that console is absolutely insane because everything in that area has no shields and won't go anywhere. Explosions after explosions and warp core breaches everywhere. Oh, and a massive damage debuff on top of that. Also great in tandem with the Cabot trait. Imagine a run with four torpedo boats and one drain ship with that console.
I'm still trying to figure out the balance there. Being and Engineer and a Federation character, don't have as much natural crit buffs as Tactical Romulans. Even with all the same traits and gear, I still can't get my crit hit rate the as high as yours, even with Surgical Strikes III.
I realize this was a while ago, but any chance you have this build laid out in a document or website somewhere? The video sold me on the build, but it's a bit tough grabbing the details from the video itself...
Yeah, I didn't even know you could equip them together on the same build until I saw Auggie messing around with them both not long after Surgical Strikes got buffed.
I've got a plan for a Jellyfish build, but it's more a theme build than anything else. For that you can go in two directions, optimize the Jellyfish mode, or optimize for weapons like a normal ships. For the former, focus on your crit chance/severity and all damage buffs. All damage seems to be the only thing that buffs the Jelly Mode's lighting, but it also still can crit. For the latter, it has a Miracle Worker seat, so go for an energy weapon build. It could make a decent tank too.
@@Stu1701 Honestly, it's all about the jellyfish mode with this one! With what other ship or weapon combo except maybe full Ba'ul Antiproton can you do damage to so many enemies in such a large area simultaneously? Also, it's super easy to get this ship to over 60% resist all, so it is a very capable tank and perhaps the ultimate lazy boat. Unless you're going for DPS records, there's probably no other ship that can do so much damage with that little effort and expensive gear. May i suggest a build that focuses on doing damage with universal consoles while in jelly mode like Broadside Emitters, Opening Salvo, Assimilated Tractor Beam and the like? Think that could be viable?
If any ship is fit to perform with a budget build, it's this one! Because the jelly AOE mode is so powerful by itself it is fit for advanced content with little effort or investment.
Beta's debuff has proven to be better than Omega's damage buff. Don't ask me why, that's just how the math works out according at DPSers that are better at math than me.
Nice Build. Sadly this ship has only 3 TAC-Consoles, but a lot other things to boost damage (Raider Flanking, Weapon System Efficiency, Gather Intelligence) which escorts (I love escorts for DPS) normaly (I play federation only!) don't have. I have a love-hate-relationship with the Miranda, especially the T1-Version because i died so often with this. Btw., the ships name is "U.S.S. Saratoga"? I was looking for a Bridgeofficier named "Benjamin Sisko" in your video, sadly there was none. :( How about the "real Miranda-Challenge": Take the Tier 1, equip it with whatever you seem fit an try to kill a Borgcube. Just kidding. :D Please keep up the good content.
Actually the name and registry number were inspired by the Saratoga that was disabled by the Whale Probe in Star Trek IV. I already did a tier 1 challenge with the T1 Oberth... okay, it was more of a joke than a challenge, but frankly that was way better than any challenge I could've done lol

that's really interesting, I didn't realize the shield disable is tied into drain. That could make it useful for a drain build.
Holy smokes! I have a mighty need of this ship. Well done!
OMG - I was reviewing this as a ship I wanted to play with--and you got almost 772K on the PARSE???! Man! Well done!
What would be best Traits to replace the two off legendary ships?
Might want to check your crit chance in combat. You might be over capped on crit using SS III. You could add exploiters to add more critD.

So how did the console from the Bozeman do?
how did I forget to bring that up? I swear I'm losing my mind at times like these. hold on, I'll post a pinned comment so everyone can see.
Interesting using Both the terran beams and cannons, I'll have to try that🤔

Support.

Attack pattern beta 2 for team support oder do you get more damage from the debuff than omega 1?

@@Stu1701 Thanks, good to know. Now i can change some of my builds to beta where i struggled to get omega included. Nice!
SS already hits at 100%. You need more crit Severity.
Yeah, i need to do an updated Surgical Strikes videos. I don't know what I was thinking with all those locators.

Too much Crit chance isnt it, you want severity and more severity and lots of haste.
yeah, i really don't know what I was thinking with this one. I have a more up to date Surgical Strikes build video on the Excelsior II.
