    I’m smiling watching the end of your video. Yes, real victories! Your husband seems so kind and appreciative of you. And have you heard the saying “it’s about progress, not perfection?” As you said earlier, we need to give ourselves grace. Great job!

    Maybe use matching hangers would make your closet even more clean

      @@AmiAtHome Merry Christmas (Yes, I'm watching you on Christmas! ) I had a similar hanger issue years ago! lol. Switch all the hangers to the same (size and height) from your pile, do the same for your husband's closet too! Everything will become and look more organized! Donate the rest to a charity/thrift shop. I've kept about 20, (just in case!)

    You've done a great job. Do yourself a favor and get rid of the majority of those extra hangars. You will be thankful you did. The empty space is much more pleasant to look at.

      Thank you! I definitely will. With other cleaning bringing things in, the closet needs a reset already and that will be part of it!

    I wish I went into decluttering more mindful, this would have saved me so much time, stress and anxiety, I read about this too late: Find what category of items you have MOST in your closet. (Mine was turtlenecks) 2nd step, try them all on, and figure out why some items never get the pick when getting dressed. (Example: Too long, short, big, tight, small, frumpy, flimsy, damaged OR we just don't like the color/pattern/material anymore) These items IMMEDIATELY go into the donate pile. Why? Because these items for MY reasons are sitting in a closet, unloved and taking up space, whereas for someone out there, these picks would be PERFECT for them.. Same process with each category. Realizing this made the process so much easier on me and as an extra win, my closet now has items that I really like and fit well. Also, I found out I was keeping said items for the wrong reasons *for me* Meaning, they were on a great sale, it was a loved ones, it was gifted or worn for a special occasion, but I never wore them. lol. You're doing SOOOOOOOO good by the way. You're going to feel so much better physically and mentally during this process Been there, done it..guaranteed life changer. :) :)

      I love that advice to declutter by category, that makes lots of sense, I’ll use it for my next round. 😊 Thank you!

      No, I do not. Unexpected side effect of decluttering the closet. 🤣

    Have you thought about using vacuum sealed bags to store your sentimental clothes?

    • @AmiAtHome
      @AmiAtHome  13 дней назад +1

      Yup. I think that will be the next thing I do once I get the whole house decluttered and inventoried. Also, someday those bins will go to the child it belongs to when they have a big enough house they'll live in for a while.

    Here's an idea...put your dogs out of the room while you vacuum!

    • @AmiAtHome
      @AmiAtHome  11 дней назад

      I’ve thought about that, and usually shut the other dogs out, but when it’s cold we can’t play some of Sputnik’s favorite games outside, and he needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation for his mental and physical health. This is just one game and I don’t mind much. Also, he bugs me when I rest or work at the computer if I don’t exercise and train him enough. 😂

    You have a sheep herding dog

    • @AmiAtHome
      @AmiAtHome  10 дней назад +1

      Yup! In fact, he was born on a farm. He's like 3/4 Border Collie then has some Australian Shepherd and Black Labrador Retriever. Ranchers, farmers, sheep herders tend to breed for health and traits and don't care about breeds.

    ik hou van je video"s maar waarom zeg je 4x 5 x 6 x hetzelfde ?>?? de stapel is zo hoog en tig x podcast va 1 uur enz enz, geeft ons de neiging om: of door te spoelen of te stoppen met kijken. 1x zeggen is genoeg hoor, dan snappen we het wel
