In later videos, I'll do some clean with me sessions and build with me solutions. I’m like Dana K White, before she came clean, wielding power tools. We'll start from the fridge in my kitchen, and move through the dining roo...
i go on a few short trips a year (one night, two nights) and this year, i've finally decided to have a whole separate suitcase full of my regular items. i just pack/unpack clothes before/after my trips now. it really saves my sanity!
Great advice! I have started doing that, a lot of things stay in my makeup bag, but I'm not all the way there yet. And my favorite hairbrush? It's over 20 years old, can't duplicate it! 😂
Do you know Dana K. Whites Advice? ❤
I know some of her advice, I've watched a couple of her videos, but I haven't read her books. She's awesome and funny. I have been thinking about doing a book review video or two, or perhaps occasional segments. I grew up having Sidetracked Home Executives on my bookshelf, and then as an adult had a book by the Fly Lady, I forget her name, I forgot the name of the book but I remember this: a clean, shiny sink! And spread out all the monthly or yearly stuff so it doesn't come up all at once, and zones! Also, put on makeup to clean your house. I mostly jettisoned that one, 🤣 but my face is clean and moisturized. 😊
@@AmiAtHome Yes! I learned a lot froh both woman. I am doing the routines from Marla Cilley, the Fly Lady! A book review would be great! Your progress is great Ami!
In future you may buy black or white socks that suit everybody, wash them all in one load ( just socks) give them one place for everyone ( a box in the linnencloset?) .You dont pair them because it is not necessary. Find quality that dont take doghair that much. ❤
Luckily my adult kids now manage their own laundry. This just goes to show you how long I've kept up Mt. Sockmore, in some way or another.🤣 And unfortunately, I have tiny feet even for a woman, while my husband has medium large man feet. Otherwise, I love that idea. Happily, since then, my sock problem is almost gone. I intend to banish it when I clean out the closets and under the bed.
@@AmiAtHome Thats great Ami!
Wire tables can be used for blankets.
Those baskets with the solid lids? That's a great idea! Thanks.
Your white doors look great Ami!
Your white doors look great Ami!
Thank you! Except the garage side of the garage door, right!🤣 Had a good look at it while editing videos and thought, dang - I need to wash that!
goodbye retired socks!
Such a good feeling, right? 😂
Ami, if I could give you any advice it would be start in your room first so that after a long day working on your other rooms, you have a place to call your sanctuary. Clean your mind. Look forward to go going to at the end of the day. You got this!!!!! We’ll be your cheerleaders!!!!
Thank you so much! I totally agree, starting with a sanctuary is key. And thanks for the support, I need that in spades.
off season clothes in vacuum bag under the bed? buy all the same socks, them matching is easy
Thanks, using vacuum bags is a great suggestion. Hey, a vacuum bag could hold the extra socks too!
From my own experience, it’s best to start in one room at a time, one small space in that room, depending on the age of your kids slowly get them involved, having a donate box or bag a sell box, garbage bag to help organize yourself, you seem positive, you can do this
Keep going Ami your doing great!
Thank you! 😊 I am and will!
38:57 😂😂😂😂
I put my sock pairs together with large safety pin. Tak pin off, wear socjs setting pin on dresser. Put pin back on pair, toss in laundry. Sock pairs done. Other suggestion, put socks in laundry bag when putting in laundry.
Iblove the safety pin idea. Like diaper pins? have some little laundry bags, I need to figure out a way keep them easily reached on my big laundry hamper. But spoilers, since the video, haven’t lost a sock yet. Haven’t found the others yet though, 😂.
I was going to ask the same question too😂😂 20:25
Right? 😂
17:40 looks like a lot of work. Weldone 😂
Thank you! I’m glad for the encouragement!
you have fun hobbies! but yes, organizing the supplies is difficult
Thanks! I'm excited to enjoy them again when I get it finished.
It’s a very long process and I’m at the same spot
Nice! We'll get there!
Great work on putting the hanging pole up. We all fumble too we learn. The cleaning went really well. You edit well too. Thanks for a good video
Oh wow, that's so kind, thank you! Video editing wasn't a skill I thought I'd be learning at this age. 🤣
Wow, nice work!!
Thank you! Cheers!
24:30 i was so nervous watching you! just want you to be safe :)
Aw, thanks. At least I had a good stable stepping stool :).
i'm with you. i put laundry into the washer while you did this.
Yay! Glad you’re coming with me on this journey. Laundry is hard for me, well, specifically socks, just wait until my bedroom cleanup video.
"here's my stash" --- hahahhaha
i'm in the middle of my messy house and i appreciate you sharing, thanks!
That’s awesome! We can do it! 😄
I suggest you watch OrganizedChaos4
Hi! Not sure if you can see this, but I only saw your comment because there was an extra comment other than counted, and I got curious, and finally found got RUclips to cough it up, and I'm so glad. Thank you for suggesting OrganizeChaos4, we are on the same wavelength.
@@AmiAtHome Yes her way of explaining it helped me hopes it helps you
