All valid points and only legal action is the key. Even money returned for flight should be full amount. It's really sad state of affairs in India. A written statement should be taken from airline for reason of denying. One would think Ethiad would be best airline and not deny boarding. It would be wrong to trust the Indian Airlines
I think he panicked.. he should have done rapid PCR and gone for check in. If he had return ticket to India then why indigo denied. Thanks for sharing Robin 👍
Strict action should be taken against
No one can deny boarding if you have a transit Visa and if any airlines try that then we can escalate the matter there and then. Civil aviation Officials are there at all airports

He did not ask for a written reason and also he agreed for the refund too early. Indigo denied him boarding on the basis of an assumption which is illigal. But since he took the refund, he has lost legal stand in the process
I had taken refund because after sometime he could not get any eny thing. Somehow he saved his money

feel sorry for this person that he got denied boarding by uninformed airline staff. i think airline staff thought that if they will allow him to go to Abu Dhabi and as he doesn't have tourist visa to stay in abu dhabi and only has transit visa, if wizz air will also deny him boarding then indigo will have to bring him back to india for free and that's why looks like indigo staff at mumbai denied him boarding. I think if he had tourist visa for UAE then they would have allowed him to board as he can then say to the indigo staff that if wizz air denies me boarding I will stay in Abu dhabi as a tourist as I have tourist visa for UAE. another option would have been that, he should have bought two trip tickets seperately to avoid this whole scenario. Mumbai to Abu dhabi trip return tickets and Abu dhabi to Serbia return tickets and at Mumbai he should have just told indigo staff that he is going to Abu dhabi and coming back to India after few days and showed them return ticket from abu dhabi to india. then once in abu dhabi, he can visit serbia using his wizz air tickets and return to abu dhabi and then use his return ticket from abu dhabi to mumbai to return back to India. what i don't understand is who gives airline staff this authority to act as immigration officers and assumes stuff for other airlines like wizz air. Indigo's staff job at mumbai airport was to make sure that this person had correct documents to travel to abudhabi and issue him boarding pass on basis of that, not deny him boarding as he had onward ticket to serbia with another airlines wizz airways. i think, all the Traveller's should file a written petition to external affairs ministry and airport authority of India or any other regulatory body who overseas these airline operations at Mumbai and Delhi airport to complain about this absurd and crazy behavior of airline staff. they don't even care, many people are using their hard earned money to travel and expect they will have a enjoyable trip and these airlines staff just ruin everything. this is insane. I hope he gets his money back from airline and also apology for this rude behavior by airline staff.
