      @@club.alfagt awsome that's what i wanna hear. Ive been getting mine ready to tune. Put an IC, air intake, getting exhaust, installing catch can and baffle plate next. Have motor mounts and doing suspension after tune.

    Great job with the info coverage!
    Looking forward to that LSD upgrade; they say is a game changer for the ST. Thinking about buying it myself, but I'll wait till you guys do a proper review at the track.
    If I can share a thought, "track day" videos for me is more about the cars visual behavior and driver inputs. It be awesome if you guys can record a helmet angle or inside wide angle covering the steering wheel and shifting. You could upload this raw video separately or attached to the topic with/without commentary, but no music. Exhaust sound, tires chirping and steering wheel action give a more accurate experience and insightful knowledge on how the car responds with each new mod and how you adjust as a driver. Please, it would be great if you guys share this experience.
    Later on you could challenge and compare with other FWD similar build.
    Thanks for this... loving the series!

      Thanks for the comment! To be honest, we had a few more angles but realized our GoPro was acting up and couldn't do anything about it at the track. So we do intend to have more in depth "experience" content.

    Those oil and coolant temps are absolutely awesome. Ive hit 270 degree temps down here in Texas and 250 coolant temps. I would still suggest an oil cooler and upgraded brakes, which you have already addressed. Another possibility is upgrading the brake pads and rotors

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  3 года назад +2

      Ya it was a pretty cold day which helped us with keeping things cool, for sure. We'll be doing a pad, rotor, and line upgrade before the next track day. The car is pretty useless at the track without an upgrade. We'll get to the cooling problem when we start to have that need.

    I had 4 piston brembos with 14.25in slot rotors on my 2016 it had basically every bolt on mountune, radion, cobb made, plus gtx2867 gen2 bb tial bof and tial external waste gate. Stock bottom with stage 2 cams it made over 600hp but was detuned a bit was afraid of the rods going it made to much power down low so boost was limited in 1st & 2nd. The stock intercooler will do ok if you peel off the cover plate with a tuned stock setup but if you start adding a lot more boost but a bigger turbo really changes the power profile from a sharp rise to peek hp around 3400rpm and holds that to red line (hold hp means decreasing tq) to a more linear power band with the peek near redline peek tq is a bit higher but close to stock it just holds that as a flat line from 2500-redline this almost 2x the stock wheel hp

    I'm going to guess you guys will do brake pad, rotors and, fluid. But, what do you think was causing the biggest problem on the track, at the time of this video, pad material or fluid?

    • @TMTMS3
      @TMTMS3 3 года назад +3

      Pad material was probably the biggest problem. I don't think we were able to go long enough to heat the fluid up to a point where it was a problem. But, once you upgrade pads and rotors, then you start to be able to heat the fluid up too so its good to do all of them at once.

    So I did a canyon run on my 2867 and the oil temps got up to 214 which is the highest I've ever seen.. Guessing since you weren't concerned with 222 on yours I'm fine?

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  3 года назад +1

      I wouldn't worry about 214 if that's the max that you see. Even if it hung at 214 for a little bit, you'd be fine. A quality oil can hang out there for a long time. But if it was a canyon run, it probably didn't last long and you had time for it to cool fairly soon. You're good in this case as long as you're using the recommended viscosity.
