A MASSIVE NEW UPDATE TO THE INSTA360 STUDIO IS HERE... INSTA360 STUDIO 2024 MEGA UPDATE - ruclips.net/video/NGln3rRCH20/видео.html
Hi there, I cant seem to get rid of the sound during the recording of the 360 degrees video. Is it possible at all? 🙏🏻
Finally, a video that focuses exclusively on the PC app,as opposed to the mobile app, and one that goes into (pretty much) all the reframing options.
Glad it helped 🙂
it work smartphone android?
This is fantastic, James. Very clear and thorough. Plus, I am learning so much through your answering of everyone's questions. Thanks for taking the time to do all this! I will periodically return to see more of your answers. Also loved your hyperlapse tutorial. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much! Means a lot 😁 I've got loads more videos planned so watch this space
Perfect. This was like a mate was explaining it to us. You’ve got a great style, James.
Ahh thanks, I like to keep it casual! Hope it helped 😀
@@james.loxton - sure did. Got us started with our new X3. It’s been fun! I’ve sent a link to this vid to a few friends, too. Looking forward to going through your other videos when I get time. Thanks again.
Excellent! This is the best tutorial I have found for Insta 360 studio. Clear, concise and perfectly presented. Thank you 👍🏻
Ahh thanks man! Glad it helped and good luck with it 😀
This was exactly the help I needed to get started with editing footage! Thanks so much!
Ahh no probs mate! Glad it helped 😀
This has been THE BEST tutorial for the 360 studio on RUclips!
Thank you James. Your instructional video is a godsend ! The way and pace at which you explain is perfect and provides to me some solace from a very frustrating experience since I unboxed my insta360 3X that I bought last week.
ahh no problem glad it helped u out 😀 sorry to hear ur experience with it so far hasn't been great but take ur time with it and it'll become easier and easier! Good luck with it!
Thankyou, only had my 360 for a couple of days. Managed to edit my first video yesterday, it took me ages and still didn't really understand what I was doing, turned out ok in the end. This tutorial is fantastic, saved it for future ref. Thanks again, brilliant.
No worries 👍 just keep playing around with it and you'll get more comfortable each time you use it
I was having a hard time getting into the editing software, and then I found this video! Incredibly helpful brother!!
Ahh no problem mate! Glad it helped 🙂
thanks man! great vid. really helpful
Thanks very much James. Just a nice, easy style with plenty of info & tips.
No problem & thanks, glad it helped 😀
Brilliant, I’d heard how hard it was going to be editing the insta footage, the way your explaining it is brilliant, thank you it doesn’t look that bad and it’s definitely something I can and will enjoy doing 😁👍🏼
You’ve just made my mind up on wether to buy or not
Thank you 👍🏼
Ahh amazing! I cant recommend it enough! Its a great bit of kit! Just take some test shots and import them into the studio app and then play around with it all, you'll pick it up in no time! ☺️
Thanks James :-) 👍
I had to put my breakfast to the side to comment that after watching content creators attempt to teach this new owner of the X3 editing that you are the best out of nine! I get it with your instruction. I am a pro with Filmora but the Insta editor is a bit challenging with all these *KEYFRAMES* ! Keep up the good work and Kudos from South Florida USA!!!! 😎
Means a lot! Thanks! 🙂 just keep messing around with it and each time it will become easier and you'll become more comfortable with it. Ps I love florida 😎
Great video! Finally bringing a 360 onto our channel and this helped so much!
Excellent! No fluff. Just what you need to get started.
Thanks 😊 glad it helped!
Excellent video!! I'm going from a GoPro Max to the Insta360 X3, so now seeing this video has really shortened the learning curve! Outstanding job, and THANK YOU!
ahhh thanks mate! Glad it's helped the switch over easier for u 🙂
Very helpful! I was having a heck of a time understanding keyframe ... stopped and started this video while playing with my own clip ... thank you for this!
Ahh no probs 😀 glad it helped! it takes a while to get used to it all but just keep playing around with it and you'll find it easier each time
Great job! Thanks for producing!
Thanks 😊 glad it helped!
Awesome..... 🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank youuu 😁
Yes, finally, a great explanation of Insta360 Studio editing! Thankyou!
glad u found it helpful 😎
Thank you for the great tutorial - learning together with my 11-year-old son and it captivated him entirely!
that is literally so so nice to hear 😁 im glad it helped u guys! good luck with it all!
SUPER helpful, James!!! Thank you for the awesome video!
ah no problem! glad it helped u 🙂
Thank you! I just started to use the studio (so far I have used only the app for all my videos) and this video is very helpful to familarize quickly. May I know how to combine the various edited files using the program? Or do I need to export them individually first?
No problem mate! 😄 Glad it helped! The mobile app is great but the desktop version just takes things to the next level. You cant combine them together in the insta 360 app (on phone or desktop), you'll need to export them individually and then import them into your video editing software like premiere pro. Once they are exported they become normal video files
Great. The only one that described the use of timeshift.. The only other information that I could find on this related to earlier model insta360 and an earlier model studio software.
James, it is very well presented and easy to following with what is needed and nothing extra.
Ahh thank youu! Glad it helped and good luck with it mate! 😊
Great tutorial. Everything looked very complicated to me when I downloaded the studio software . but you have shown me the light. You are very good at tutorials, a lot of people are not.
Thanks man 😊 glad it helped! Keep playing around with it and ur crack it in no time!
I can’t even justify messing with a mobile app that only exports 1080p, when I can get 5K on PC.
Great video! Cheers! Was doing all my edits in the app. Will try studio now on my mac
No problem 😊 yeah the phone app is good to use as well but I feel the desktop version takes it to the next level
Excellent! Clear, not too long nor too short, just the right speed. Tthx!
glad u found it useful 😎
Thanks! Just the starter tips I needed, perfect pace, nice clear voice and visuals. Appreciated! (Just got it today, and I was expecting to be able to make cuts in the timeline, like iMovie, would be nice)
Glad it helped 😀 yeah unfortunately you'll have to export the individual clips and cut them together in your normal editing software... hopefully they'll be a future update where u can. Have fun with it!!!
Thank you so much. Just getting started with the X3 and this is exactly what I needed.
No probs 😀 glad it helped! Good luck with it
Great video, my 360 one rs twin is getting delivered tomorrow so can’t wait to start playing
Ahh exciting! Good luck with it! All the cameras are tons of fun!
THAAANK YOU!!
Ahh ur welcome 😀
Thank you James for basic editing in new 2023 Studio.
So next one make some transitions, rotations etc please. Good Video !
No problem! Already on my list to make a video going through those areas so watch this space 🙂

Exactly what I was looking for, wish o had the insta when I was in Barcelona last! Many thanks, great video.
Thanks man! 😊 ahhh I've literally done a vid a couple months ago with the x3 when I was in Barcelona 😂
Thank you for this. Great Job
no problem 😎 a new update is available for it, check my latest video
Thank you!
Your welcome 😁
Thanks man. Key frame movement was the thing I was interested with the most
no probs 😎 key framing can be a pain to start with but the more u play around with it the easier it’ll get
Great video. Thank you. Helped me make the final decision to purchase the x2 for motorcycle videos!
No problem! Glad it helped! have fun with it! 😊
Nice video. No shade, constructive criticism. The music is not needed. Parts are hard to hear you cuz the sick beats in the background lol 🎉
oh nah dw I 100% agree! The audio in the whole video is just not great at all but I have fixed that in all my newer vids. thanks for the feedback thooo 😇
Great, super helpful. Thanks.
no problem! glad u found it useful 😎
Good video to follow James
Thanks 😊 glad it helped u!!
Thanks James. This is very helpful in understanding how to edit these videos on my computer.
No problem 😀 glad it helped! Good luck with it!
Hi. Having hard time delete or removing the keyframe that I made in the timelime and its also numbered already. Jope you can shed a little help coz been searching it online but it doesnt help. By the way im using a laptop tried clicking on the yellow keyframe it nothing happens.
Fantastic tutorial and exactly what i was searching for! You gained one more subscriber. Thanks for keeping the video stupid simple lol that's how i learn best 😊
Ah thanks man! 😊 glad it helped u! Good luck with it! Keep playing around with it and ur crack it in no time!
Thanks James, very helpful! You showed the video trim capability to edit start and end points of your video, are you also able to carry out jump cuts on pc? (I know this is possible in the iOS iPad app)
No problem, glad it helped! 😊 unfortunately not, you can only set the in and out points and export the clip within them points, so you'll have to export each clip individually. A pain, I know 😫
Hey James (and other users)-- this video was great! Was curious if you could help me figure out why when I export a 360 photo it does not show as a 360 photo on my Mac. It shows on my mac a a still frame photo. Any suggestions?
thanks for this video it helped me out mate
no problem man 😎 great to hear!
James, well done young fella... Cheers!!
Ahh thanks! Glad it helped u 🙂
this is the most helpful tutorial i have come across for editing my insta vids , thankyou for taking the time to do this👍👍👍👍
Ahh thanks man! Glad it helped u! Good luck with it 🙂
Thanks for making this video man
No probs mate 😀
Thank you for taking the time to explain the process of editing insta360 video. Excellent job.
no problem 😎 glad it helped u out!
Thanks !!
😎
question
im very noob'ish with makin videos.
i want to make a short video with song and a bunch of random videos i recorded with my iphone and insta360 x3. should i edit the 360 videos on the studio app like key framing then export and place it on something like imovie where i will mix it up with my iphone videos? or whats another way to go on about it?
the studio has a new update allowing u to add files shot on another camera (like ur iPhone) to the timeline so u won’t need to export each individual reframed 360 clip, check out my insta360 2024 studio update video on my channel as I go thru it all in that
Most useful video on the subject yet. Thank you
ah thanks 😎 glad it helped u out!
Great video! I'm just getting into editing some of mine and want to put multiple 360 videos together. I currently use Magix Video Editor and when I put two videos together and export them, the video is too digitized. Is it just old and not as good editing software?
Thanks 😊 glad it helped u! Unfortunately I can't really comment on magix as I use premiere pro to edit all my vids, sorry... but at a guess I would double check ur export settings and make sure ur exporting the vids at a high quality
Thx for your run through of Insta360 Studio. Very helpful! I wonder where I can zoom in and out of the clip to achieve the "little planet" view?
No probs 😀 sooo, once you've selected your clip and its on the time line, press the add keyframe button and a box should appear, inside the box at the top there's 4 different view options, the third one is the tiny planet. You can then use the controls underneath it like the FOV control to zoom in and out of it or change the angle ect
Great video just what I needed.
Glad it helped 😀
Very good. Thank you so much!
No worries 😀
Many thanks this is an easy to follow guide and makes a great base to start from.
Glad it helped u 🙂
great video, thanks for this
no problem 😎
Really useful - thanks.
No worries 👍
Thank you for the tutorial. Your video is so easy to digest, thank you so much..
ahh your welcome! glad it helped u 😊
Helpful desktop app overview. I feel I learned more from your video than other ones. I know enough to be dangerous but still have much to learn. What do you suggest for a free or not too expensive platform to edit and add music after the reframing steps? Something where I could add logo, text and voice over like you did. Thanks
glad u found it helpful 😎 i would recommend capcut for editing the framed videos together, its free to download and easy to use, ive got a few tutorial videos on it so check them out to see if it looks like something u are looking for
Great Video James, such an easy video tutorial! Greetings from Guatemala!
Thanks mate! Glad it helped u! Good luck with it! 😊
Is there a way to simply have the shot switch from back to front, without panning? I haven't figured out if that's doable within the 360 software yet. Thanks for the great video James!
glad it helped u 🙂 sooo, u can't switch to a shot without it doing a pan movement to the new position. I would personally export the clip facing backwards with the pan movement to it facing forwards and then import the whole clip into ur normal editing software like premiere and cut the pan movement out which will then give u a straight back to front cut without any pan
James - excellent easy to follow video.
Glad to help ☺️
How can I merge multiple short clips together as a single clip ?
You can't do it in the insta360 studio, you'll need to export the individual clips and then merge them together in your normal editing software like premiere pro
Brilliant video, so easy to understand, thanks fella 💙
Thanks mate! 😀 glad it helped u!
EXTREMELY HELPFUL
Glad it helped 😀
Excellent video!! Very well explained thank you
thanks 😊 glad it helped u!

Thanks for sharing.keyframes!😊
No problem! Haha and yes KEYFRAMES 😉
Thanks Bro . Super ♥️ Video really helpful for X3 owner
No problem man! Glad it helped 😎 good luck with it!
Superb tutorial, right on the button, no nonsense.
thanks mate! Glad it helped u 🙂
if you export it in reframed and upload it on youtube, can people still view the video in 360?
you’ll need to export it as a 360 video for it be viewed on RUclips as a 360 video. the standard exported reframed video won’t be 360
We can't have multiple trims right? Like I just want to trim and delete certain parts from the clip and keep remaining. Similar to what we have in VN editor. Can you confirm?
U can trim down a clip by dragging the in and out points which will then only export that section but u can't trim several different parts from the same clip at the same time like u can in ur normal editing software, you'll have to trim down and export the clips individually....hopefully in a future update you'll be able to 🤞
thx man
no probs mate 😊
@jamesloxton Great video! Very thorough. I do have a question, however. How do I take a bunch of different clips and merge them together to make one long video?
thanks, glad u found it useful 😎 so currently there’s no way to merge clips together inside the insta360 studio, you’ll have to export each individual re framed clip and merge them together in ur normal video editor like premiere pro
That's what I thought. Thank you!
Nice job mate
Thanks man 😀
Very good well done. I have literally shot my first test film this afternoon and have been playing with things as per your advice. But when I want to add on screen text and backing music I assume I have to load my normal editing software with the clips and put it all together there?
Ahh nice 👍 sooo, you can't add any text or music to a video in the insta360 studio, you'll have to export the clips and then import them into your normal editing software and add it through that... the only thing you can really add in the studio is a logo
@@james.loxton Do you know if it is the same for the smartphone app or can you add some text or music in there?
Hi James , incredibly helpful thanks a lot . Cheers from NZ
Hello from down under! No problem mate! Glad it helped 😀
