I go out to that spot a few times a year. Once when i was out to that spot in the summer at chest high wading, without my waders of coarse, something huge passed me slowly. This thing looked like it was 15ft long or so. It passed right in front of me like 2 foot or so. I was scared instantly. I backed up to knee deep and thought to myself what it could be. I eventually said to myself it was just a manatee cause it had prop scars on it's back. Usually a shark will evade boats on time but a slow manatee will get hit by the boat prop. I usually take an inflatable cooler carrier with me witch can hold a cooler and all my gear. That kids kayak was a steal though. Good fishing you two and yes that spot usually trout and reds. If you go further to your left between paradise island the the sandbar keeper Groupers!
Such an inspirational message, I always love watching your videos and I can't wait to wear my bracelet. Thank you for being you and for sending such a positive message to us all!
Josh you are a great man who drops knowledge on fishing, peace, positive vibes, never talks crazy about different races, no political stuff, and you drop knowledge of Christianity that some of us who never knew about. You're also a great comedian with respect and competition with Chris who is also a great fisherman in the videos. I would like to get a braclet Captain Josh of possible.
Just getting off work watching your video when I started wade fishing I started with a floating five gallon bucket moved on to a paddle board then graduated to that very same kayak in the same color. If I get home early enough tomorrow I'll post my set up.
Amazing content, Josh! Again, I appreciate you letting the Lord shine through your channel. I’ll happily take a bracelet. Do I just email your inquiry email?
There is a small unmarked artificial reef someone made out of cinder blocks, oyster shells and concrete rubble located on the edge of the flat on the East side of the first bridge (Misener) leading to the Skyway. It's not far from the channel. It was loaded with mango snapper in the summer and sheepshead in the winter. A friend who fishes from a 14' John boar stumbled on it a few years ago. No GPS coordinates are available and but there was a crab trap float next to it. We have not been there in 2 years or so.
Josh Keep Preaching Josh! I can call you my Brother! I want/ need one of the bracelets James 3. Hey can you cover what kind of waders you guys like! It’s been so cold are they insulated?
Well y’all I don’t know we’re you were fish’n but ya need some grass on them flats , well ya didn’t get skunked, so I’d be all in see’n you two have ‘n challenges but next time do it offshore with light weight tackle 👍🏼🤔
When did you fish that flat by the jetty ? I was there Saturday and seen some guys wading towards paradise island not sure if that was you . I recently been catching some really nice redfish and trout off that rock jetty . Most of the trout I was catching were above 22. Biggest about 24
Pretty good thinking. No point of spending big dollars on something your not doing a lot of. And it more than gets the job done. Easily mount all kinds of rod holders and what not on it.

I fished the flats last Saturday on an incoming tide . Was catching trout back to back must’ve caught 40 of em . It was hard finding them though . Had to cover a lot of ground to find them congregated
@@gerald3389 I guess it depends on what flat your fishing on the skyway . Several factors that go into it . What do you mean when you say sinking though
If you'd like a bracelet, please email your shipping information to joshua@saltyscales.com
I love the intro, you have a new fan!

Very nice, it is amazing how much life can be seen on some of the smallest structures in the bay.
Big fish wins😊
Always lol
Great video. Do you see a big difference between the Okuma SRT Premier and Elite series?
Not a huge difference, you'd be happy with either.
@Saltyscales. Thank you
I would like one of them bracelets..

Josh Keep Preaching Josh! I can call you my Brother! I want/ need one of the bracelets James 3. Hey can you cover what kind of waders you guys like! It’s been so cold are they insulated?
Yes sir, I am currently using Drycode insulated waders. Checkout my essential wade fishing video I recently uploaded.

It was a little shy on grass but hey we made it work lol
I wanna go fishing with you 😢I don’t even have waders tho, any recommendations?
Checkout Drycode insulated waders or Simms but they are expensive.
What lure you was using when you catch the redfish
Hey bud, I mention it in the video. Gulp dragon tail, DOA
Amen brother. I would love to have one of your bracelets.

But all on shrimp can’t really use artificial effectively with how close to the rocks they were hugging
Anyways really love what you’re doing and God be glorified through it all!
It was last week before the front.
Glory to God for sure
Sorry Chris, Biggest fish wins.... Great Vid guys...
You are right, size does matter. 😂
Man they haven't even seen my side yet. I ayed some fish before you came back 😠
Sure you did lol. Where is the video?
Put a milk crate in their strap it down cut some pieces of PVC zip tie those to the milk crate and you'll have yourself some rod holders
That's a good idea, I might have to try that out next time.
Pretty good thinking. No point of spending big dollars on something your not doing a lot of. And it more than gets the job done. Easily mount all kinds of rod holders and what not on it.
The little yak performed surprisingly well.

I fished the skyway flats last week, it’s very dead
Fishing was tough, but we had an incoming front, it was freezing, high winds. I imagine it will improve on the warming trend when we do get it.
