- Amazon makeup wannabes are copies or dupes of some of the most popular and viral makeup on the market. These makeup products are manufactured overseas to be distributed by various sellers on amazon and other e-commerce websites. So you never know what you’re going to get until you test for yourself. That’s what I’m here for. Today, I’m testing four very popular and viral makeup products that are high sellers for a good reason and two makeup brushes that look almost identical. I’m also doing a wear test the entire day (at least 10 hours of wear) to see how each makeup dupe wannabe performs to the original makeup and formula.

Great review! I don't mind if a legitimate brand like ELF makes a dupe for a Charlotte Tibury product but I am very wary of some random company making wannabes. I may or may not like the ELF dupe, but I can trust that brand to put out a certain quality and safety.
I agree, plus I can rely on any claims like being cruelty free. I will also mention the foundation brand W7 is a popular budget brand in the UK and is trustworthy as far as I'm concerned. Taking a chance on something like a brush is completely different to something with ingredients.

@@mariannakump8857 I've seen some in the last year or so in B&M and the Original Factory Shop but I'm pretty sure you can get the whole range in Peacocks. I will be paying more attention though after this video!
I agree. Some of the manufacturers on Amazon may be using chemicals that I don't want in my makeup.
I haven’t tried that w7 foundation but their HD foundation is actually BEAUTIFUL, I tested a load of their products recently and I’m so impressed I just picked up their newest eyeshadow palette too x
W7 is a drugstore 🇬🇧 brittish brand. Their loose powder is amazing!
And i think their blush looks like the bourjois package
I tried boththe Rare beauty concealer brush, both the real one and the one from Amazon, and I sent the real one back because the Amazon one is cheaper and it is exactly the same and I love it

I'm 70 years old, and the tissue around my eyes gets more deeply pigmented as I age. I was stunned, I mean really and truly stunned, that it didn't crease, didn't look dry, and stayed on until I took it off! Love your channel by the way!

W7 takes me right back to my teenage years. Surprised you didn't include there Honolulu bronze we all know that's a straight up rip off of benefit hoola 😂 they're the original copycats. But here in the UK W7 is a drugstore brand. Like in my local supermarket market we have our L'Oréal, Maybelline, Rimmel stands then right next to it we have collection and W7.
The markup on cosmetics is outrageous. The high end brands are nice, but not really worth the extra expense. It’s great that manufacturers are making comparable affordable products.
This was really interesting, I'd love to see some more! I just want to mention, since I don't hear it mentioned enough, that Selena Gomez very intentionally created her packaging to be easy to open for those of us with issues with our hands. She (I believe) has Lupus, and as a fellow autoimmune disease inflicted person, her thoughtfulness is very much appreciated. When it's already painful to apply makeup, those little things, like the easy to open caps make a difference 🥰Please share your Greek chicken & rice recipe!!!
I use the W7 legend for years. Its amazing! But always give it a good shake!
There are many dupes of the Rare Beauty blush on Amazon & I've ordered a few in colors not offered by RB & I really liked them.
I would be curious about the ingredients- that would make me nervous.

I’m not sure it’s just about a money grab. I think also it’s about giving people an opinion that can only spend a few dollars but can have the feeling of having one of those really expensive products. Just my thoughts.
Well that was very interesting! I think i'll take a closer look at some of these products on Amazon. To be honest, I'm not familiar with all the brands because they're just too expensive for me (some things aren't even available in Germany, such as Natasha Denona's concealer and Uoma beauty's powder). I have to admit i don't even recognize a product as a dupe of a brand or the 'real one' 😅

I had no idea things like this were available on Amazon. I was so hoping the Double Wear dupe would work since DW is my holy grail foundation. The closest I’ve found is Revlon Colorstay in the normal/dry formula. I’m still tempted to try the W7 though especially at that price.

I recently purchased a w7 foundation, matifying powder, blush, vegan lipstick and mascara direct from their website and I am really impressed with the quality for the price. Great video xxx
Their vegan brow pencil rocks too. I'm a brunette and often brown brow pencils in more affordable brands have a too warm red undertone. The one from W7 is a proper cool brown and a great texture that doesn't slide off in the Australian heat.

I have both the BB and the IT cosmetics brushes, and both of them developed a major whorl so that they don’t work right. I even got two of the IT brushes and the same thing happened. I’d much, much rather go with the dupes.

I prefer to pay $44 for a bunch highlighter, contour ,base and bronzer, than $200 for all those things just because they have somebody’s name on them. No thank you. I’m not into the rich getting richer. I need to save my money.
It's too bad the wannabes didn't hold up as well because they really did look great when you first applied them. Will anyone ever make a decent dupe for Double Wear....
I think Catrice HD is a great EL DW dupe and lasts just as well.
The dupe for double wear is Maybelline's skin tint foundation. I purchased it a week ago, and I'm impressed. I've been wearing the double for more than 20 years now. However, this stuff is really, really good 😊.
Milana Hello, have you tried KLEAN BEAUTY WATERPROOF SHADOW. It’s suppose to make your foundation truly waterproof???
I think your lighting and the shadows on the fenty side of your face have alot to do with you seeing more definition😂
The wannabe looks pretty good. I wear my lip oil over a lip pencil or Matt lipstick. Surprised there’s no lawsuits flying all over the place.

My niece has her own cosmetics brand here In Australia, I would love to see other influencers test her products, Centre of Attention Cosmetics. I enjoy her products, she has just released lip oils, but then again, I am a little Bias'd.

I think you have one of the foundations wrong in the description fyi. You've got two EL and no W7. LOVE these comparison videos of cheaper products vs. pricier. In this crazy economy I really don't like spending a lot - especially where I'm not wearing makeup daily.
Are there occasional no-name brands that sell good products on Amazon? Sure. But, as you noted, more often than not, the cheap price will mean regret down the line.
The others are definitely rip off dodgy brands but W7 is a brand in the UK that's sold in high street shops. It shouldn't be paired with the others

That brush isn’t a wannabe, it’s a straight up fake or counterfeit. The others are cheater copycats. Sorry, I’m not a fan of straight up “dupes” bc they’re stealing someone’s ideas and IP.
When “dupes” aren’t from reputable companies, you also don’t know what ingredients you’re getting.
Legend was around long before the estee foundation.
The W7 legend foundation has been around since I was a teen and I'm in my 30's now so we're looking at 17+ years. My first play into make up was W7 and Maybelline. It's actually a well known 'drugstore' brand in the UK. You weren't nothing back in the mid 2000's if you didn't look like an umpalumpa from the dream matt mousse and W7 Honolulu bronzer all set down with W7 banana dreams loose powder 😂

I know Estee Lauder is an older company. Just for fun, I looked up the info, and it was established in 1946. The Double Wear foundation was first created in 1997.
W7 was created in 2002.
