Absolutely awesome discussion 🙌 I grew up sitting in front of the TV with my dad and he introduced the world of monsters to me. To this day The Thing is our "IT" movie together.
My first taste of horror monsters was the old hammer movies with peter cushing and Christopher lee in the 70's as a kid i was allowed to watch them and loved them i even went upstairs after id watched them and used a chair to turn the lights out. Still love horror movies and also sci-fi stuff. Stan winston is a hero of mine god bless him. Also directors like john carpenter george lucas. Please make more horror stuff sideshow would be great to see lots more movie monsters
As a seventies child I absolutely adored Hammer, Amicus and Tigon Studio production's. Then during the eighties we had the infamous 'Video Nasties' craze in the UK and me and my friends loved watching VHS shockers such as The Evil Dead, Madman, Zombie Flesheaters, Zombie Creeping Flesh, Cannibal Holocaust, Dead and Buried, The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue, The House By The Cemetery, The Beyond, City of the Living Dead, Burial Ground and Nightmare City. Then came American slashers such as Halloween, Friday The 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street. I'm a huge fan of John Carpenter, David Cronenberg, Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci. Sweet Time's!
Another one of my favorite movie monsters is the universal classic movie monsters count Dracula Frankenstein the The wolfman The invisible Man and The mummy. The creature from the Black lagoon.
Jaws completely ruined going to the beach for me as a kid. The Bela Legosi Dracula was my first love and first monster movie. The first time I lost sleep for a week was the OG Nightmare on Elm Street. The first kill got me. Now I completely love it!
My first put scared me when I was a kid was Jaws. And then when I got older my favorite would be Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm Street. My favorite movie monster that I love is Godzilla. I remember when I was a kid they had something called Godzilla theater and I will sit down and watch these movies when I was little and I still love Godzilla to this day.
I hope Sideshow goes mad and makes more horror characters in sixth scale. David and Pennywise look fantastic. I'd love to see a part 2 and New Nightmare Freddy, part 7 Jason, Candyman, Pinhead - the possibilities are endless!
To me, seeing IT and Twin Peaks when o was child had oposite effect😅 I don't like horror movies. Though i like good creature movie / action movie or movie with aliens...but i actually don't like Alien movies cause again i saw them as a kid and i was so scared i would also hide in pillow and my mom would say: ok monster is gone
