I can roughly remember this one - - particular time - - when @ India Ink has told us - - to watch Sergei Polunin's World Ballet Day TIFF Romania 🇷🇴. At the end of the show - - I remember - - a question was posed from a member of the audience - - which one was your favourite ballet performance? And Polunin's quick response was - - Giselle❗️ And I immediately thought about - - @ I I's Polunin's Entrechats - Six - - compilation of 13 different Giselle performances❗️ Thank you @ India Ink - - for all the beautiful video montages - - we love ❤️ watching them all.

Polunin is a half Serbian heart, considering he wanted and he awarded Serbian citizenship ...and, of course, he got it !! 😊🌟💛🎉 Real Christian Orthodox by Heart and much more ...
He does love Serbia and values their generous support, but he did not initially seek out Serbian citizenship- they asked and offered it to him! 🥰 Which was quite a gift for him, not only as an honor of being asked, but it also opened opportunities for him to be able to more freely travel the EU, as I understand it. Serbia also has given him immeasurable support in helping him establish his Sergei Polunin Foundation, which is the fulfillment of his great dream to be able to financially support young ballet artists the way he was supported by the legacy Rudolph Nureyev left behind for young dancers. I don’t know that he would agree with being called Christian Orthodox, but he says he is for all religions that he sees as bringing good into the world. But he does have a very caring and generous heart. And a desire to follow what is true and good. ❤️
@@IndiaInk You are absolutely right in everything you say, but now the question arises... Why didn't the UK or America offer him the same or even more?? In general, he could politely refuse everything that Serbia offered him, right? Serbia offered him a hand of respect and friendship... He is of the Orthodox faith and was brought up in that spirit, it is something we carry in our genes... Serbia is happy to have shown such a wonderful young man and great artist how much he is worth both as a person and as an artist... After all, it's not hard to be nice... Do you get the point..?
It seems my response didn’t come across as I meant- Serbia has given Sergei so much support and it’s a gift I as a fan am deeply grateful for. He has not received such support or generosity from the UK or the USA and it even took him some time to receive his Russian citizenship. My response was only clarifying how his citizenship came about, as he has said he was surprised by the offer, so it wasn’t something he had sought out. We also seem to have different understandings of what it means to be a person who holds and practices a religious faith. My response was based on what Sergei himself has said about his spiritual beliefs. I didn’t mean anything argumentative or unkind in my response.

I do choose edit points (dance movements, expressions, and/or scene transition points) not just to the overall beat of a song, but often to individual notes, emphasizing the parts I feel the strongest when I hear the song and/or what seems to work best for the visuals. 🙂 If you enjoy looking for it, I’ll mention that, in addition to editing to the music beat and notes, when there are vocals, I also edit to words - to the meaning of the lyrics, of course, but also, since I experience vocals similarly to a musical instrument - I often edit to individual words or phrases, and, depending on the way the song is sung, I will often edit movements to the actual syllables of words. 😁 (My "Sound of Silence" montage is maybe one of the more blatant, easy to see examples of all these types of edit choices combined.) When I explain it, it might sound oddly strict or rigid, but really I’m just editing to what I feel - All these layers and fractional moments of emphasis are how I experience music and songs. So in these edits I’m always trying to turn my inner responses to a song into something outwardly beautiful and visible. ✨ It’s fine if people don’t notice. 😄 I don’t do it for any other reason than that it’s the only way I know how to end up with an edit I can enjoy. ❤️✨ Thank you again for noticing. 😊 (Even if you maybe didn't notice or want to hear ALL of those details!
