Thank you!!!! I've been trying to figure this out but I couldn't figure out the bank 64/sub bank 81 thing. I'm not even sure where you got that from but it works great. Thanks!
wow, you actually gave me the info that I needed! I'm using an mpc2500 as a controller for the mx49 and this video gave me the last piece of the puzzle. thanks for putting in the effort!
I would use a layer of Full Concert Grand and Analog (under Choir/Pads). What you can do is add more reverb to both sounds and take off the MW receive switch on the piano. That way, you can use the MW to brighten the pad while not adding chorus to the piano.
That is correct. Different keyboards have different MSB and LSB settings. Also the MIDI Implementation differs with each keyboard so it's always worth checking ±1.
Great explanation. How do I get your template for free? The link goes to your website but it's not free. Is it also possible to change Program numbers on the Yamaha MX61 from a Novation Launchkey 37 with Midi commands? Cheers.
Hi Mick. I am working on the digital store at the moment. Should be free in the next 24 hours. Also, the Launchkey does send out Program Change messages. You can connect the MIDI Out port on the Launchkey to the MIDI In Port on the MODX using a standard 5-pin DIN cable. However, I am not sure about setting MSB and LSB settings. I'll try it out on my Novation Impulse and see if I can get it to work. I have used it with Notes and that seems to work fine. Yet to experiment with Program Changes.
Hey, Raji. You can try a different USB port, a different USB cable or a different machine to isolate the issue. If the problem persists, you may have to get your keyboard checked at an authorized Yamaha service center.

Hola! Instalaste algún driver para que tu pc reconociera el mx61? Yo tengo un mx61 pero ableton 10 no lo reconoce
Yes, I did. The Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver. It's required for Mac and Windows.
Hi sir, can you make patches for grand piano with nice pads for any Worship song? 😢

Hi! To change Performance, you need to send the MIDI command: Bank /Program Select MSB 63 LSB 80 Programs number 0..127 (Performance Number)

Saludos 🖖 es posible hacerlo con MainStage?
I'm not very well-versed with Mainstage. But I'm sure there'll be a way to send MIDI PC messages out from Mainstage. So it must be. :)
