Rear discharge finish mower is best! You have a great tool. When I work on underneath (like changing blades) I disconnect top link and lift rear up with chain hoist or cherry picker and just stand up and access the entire bottom of mower.
I have never seen blades so ruined! He has a great mower. Hope he enjoys it. I had several finish mowers and only replaced 2 blades when I hit a water shutoff and the blades looked ok but were bent and unbalanced.
Always appreciate your videos, Brad. Looking for a quality used brush hog myself, and this info is very helpful. Not sure how much of a crossover audience you may have with Matt's Off Road, but I chuckled at the music you chose for the mowing scene. Same as his channel uses for many of them.
I didn't replace the spindles, I replaced the casters. I got them from the John Deere dealer. Another video here: ruclips.net/video/2yNxK0XJ1Vk/видео.html
I would have just siphoned off the bad oil with a vacumn bulb. Still wonder how they got that much water in there. Kids or vandals? Maybe careless handling of oil.

I have mowed a lot in my life and those are the are the champions of shot! I am surprises they weren't also bent.
Seller was like "just used it...still cuts good"!!! Thanks for watching.

@@tlm3574 It's looking like a set of new blades will be needed every year as much as we mow.
Good work Brad. Glad it wasn't rusted. It works pretty good
It's been getting a lot of use! Thanks for watching.

It doesn’t take much water to milk up the oil, but I was surprised at how clean the gears were. That’s gonna make you a nice mower!
Would have been so bummed if they were rusty! Always wanted one of these mowers!
You're gonna love a finish mower. Faster, safer, and do a better job.
It does a great job....but keeping mower blades sharp is hard work.
Little bit of love goes a long way
Right and some cash!
I would take the part with you to get the right one
you got very lucky on the gear box! apparently they never ran it after water got in it. take care stay safe and heal!
But how did that much water get in it??? I drove the tractor today for the first since surgery....all good! Thanks for watching.
@@PineyGroveHomestead alot of times theres a vent on the top cover to exsaut the pressures so you dont blow out a seal that lets rain in!
@@AdamDeal-KF0PRI Yes sir...it's vented...that's a lot of rain!
I’ve replaced at least 6 of those spindles on my finish mower. Where did you find them for $89?
