    Rear discharge finish mower is best! You have a great tool. When I work on underneath (like changing blades) I disconnect top link and lift rear up with chain hoist or cherry picker and just stand up and access the entire bottom of mower.

      I have never seen blades so ruined! He has a great mower. Hope he enjoys it. I had several finish mowers and only replaced 2 blades when I hit a water shutoff and the blades looked ok but were bent and unbalanced.

      @@tlm3574 It's looking like a set of new blades will be needed every year as much as we mow.

    Always appreciate your videos, Brad. Looking for a quality used brush hog myself, and this info is very helpful. Not sure how much of a crossover audience you may have with Matt's Off Road, but I chuckled at the music you chose for the mowing scene. Same as his channel uses for many of them.

    You're gonna love a finish mower. Faster,safer, and do a better job.

      It does a great job....but keeping mower blades sharp is hard work.

    It doesn’t take much water to milk up the oil, but I was surprised at how clean the gears were. That’s gonna make you a nice mower!

      Would have been so bummed if they were rusty! Always wanted one of these mowers!

    I’ve replaced at least 6 of those spindles on my finish mower. Where did you find them for $89?

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  3 месяца назад

      I didn't replace the spindles, I replaced the casters. I got them from the John Deere dealer. Another video here: ruclips.net/video/2yNxK0XJ1Vk/видео.html

    I would have just siphoned off the bad oil with a vacumn bulb. Still wonder how they got that much water in there. Kids or vandals? Maybe careless handling of oil.
