I've been buying concrete etch by the gallon, which is mostly phosphoric acid. Works great. I'm trying muriatic acid to remove the rust, rinse, followed immediately with phosphoric acid. So far so good

David Maynard if you’re talking about the big black vice, it’s a post or leg vice for blacksmithing. The leg helps carry the blows to the floor/ground. I made a big wooden post out of 2x10’s and it makes a great helper.
