How can I arrange for a local guide, and what are their typical charges? 2. How far is the trek's starting point from the nearest drivable road? Is a jeep necessary to reach it? 3. Thanks for watching !! Following are my replies: 1. If you stay in home stays around that area, they will arrange Local Guide and the everything needed for trekking. I stayed in River Edge Home stay which I covered in ruclips.net/video/dP6_ZgeLDT0/видео.html The typical charges for Local guide is ~1000 rs. 2. The trek starting point from the main road is ~5-6KM. The Road is drivable till 2 KM where you will find most of the home stays .. After that, the road becomes off-road slowly and in some places, non-motorable where only 4x4 can go. So a 4x4 Thar is necessary .. Alternatively you can choose to walk as well .. 3. Guide & 4x4, pack lunch etc .. Everything is provided by the home stays which are there . I had been twice in that region for trekking and have stayed in two different home stays .. Everything is taken care off ..
