I really liked this. I was wondering if you could do a video on how to know when your painting is done and when to stop painting. I think sometimes I don’t know if I should keep adding to a painting and I end up thinking I should have stopped painting 10 minutes ago. Lol.
I think the painting is finished when you decide so. With the same piece of art, some might think it isn't finished yet and may keep working on it ; others may think it's overworked, while others could think it's good as it is.
I like to think that the painting is finished when you're happy with it. It's all about feeling ... and maybe practice I guess.

There is always something to learn from your videos. I love your voice and your way of giving each and every details. Suggestion for using hard pencils is the most useful tip of today. I v stopped using B pencils and I find them annoying now , specially when we have to deal with paints. I was just wondering that is gesso really required for water based colours. I thought the more the absorbency in paper the better the water effect .
Also would have loved if you had worked on detailing the cool painting too. But even without detailing it looks amazing.

Girl this is amazing, your channel is literally blowing my mind. After the 100 heads video I started drawing drived by an insane inspiration, thank you so much for what you do!
I really like cross hatch in ballpoint pen or ink and brushes and I’m practicing it but I’m really struggling, I tent to gave my faces a too realistic effect with the ballpoint (wich I don’t want to, I would reach a sketchy style) and I do a very bad mess with brushes or ink 😭 Do you have any video here on youtube to recommend? (The video of yours with the man and the girl made with ink brush full page is one of my favourite ❤️) Sorry if it’s a topic you already talked about, I’m pretty new here 😬

I did watch the gesso video, and maybe you addressed it, but does the gesso not make the paper buckle and warp? It doesn't appear to, so I'm gonna pick some up soon.
Nope. As long as you don’t use too much water or gesso it should buckle up. Thin coats are best for sketchbooks
