혹시 잃다 for losing things that are non physical? Example relationships, health and jobs. 잃어버리다 is to lose something physical like an umbrella and people?
잃어버리다 describes something that still belongs to you, but you can’t find it. But with 잃다, it’s not that you can’t find it - it is now something that is no longer yours.
